I have nothing but good to say about Mumford House. The love, care and respect each and every one of the staff show my Mum is just wonderful. We are truly grateful to them all.

Professional care given by the staff is very good. The facilities and entertainment are very pleasing. I would recommend this place for everyone who is looking for care. Especially nursing care. My wife has been in Colonia Court for more than 24 months now.

My mother is very content in the home and we are so lucky to know she is well cared for.
The staff are wonderful because they really do care and are a stable team. Mum has developed a good relationship with them all and enjoys the banter and interest they take in her. I enjoy visiting and am made to feel welcome . I am always impressed by the frequency and creativity of the activities which mum can choose to join in. The option to see photos of Mum during activities is really welcome , especially if you are not in a position to visit as much as you would like. Not everything runs perfectly all the time but that reflects life. The motivation and the care is there and that's what's important. Whilst I praise the staff credit should also go to the management and teams behind the scenes too
Thank you for sharing such lovely feedback. We are delighted to hear that your mother has been so happy and settled with us over the past three years. Knowing that she feels well cared for, has built strong relationships with the team, and enjoys the activities on offer means a great deal. We are...
Myself and my sisters are extremely happy with Mum's care at Blomfield House Colonia Court. The manager Elenor is very approachable and all the staff are very caring.

After visiting this home for over a year I can definitely say that my brother is cared for in a safe and clean environment, he is well looked after by staff who put his dignity and support foremost, everyone is friendly that we have met and pays interest in not just my brother (Stephen) previous life but the family, so it all fills me with confidence.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. We are happy to hear you feel like a part of our Colonia Court family and that you are confident your brother is well cared for.
My daughter has been a resident of Colonia Court Care Home for almost 3 years. In that time, my wife and I have only seen love and care shown to all the residents. Everyone of the staff show a level of care which is second to none, sometimes in very challenging situations. The unit at Amber Lodge is led by a very caring and experienced manager. We would highly recommend this care home to anybody who is looking for a safe and caring environment for a loved one.
Thank you for your kind review. It is always lovely to hear our home described in this way. Thank you again for choosing Colonia Court for your daughters care.
After a very upsetting stay at a previous home, we are delighted with the care, attitude, help and friendliness from all the staff in Paxman house, since my mother in law moved in a few weeks ago. Everyone we have spoken to, from the reception, and office staff to all the care and nursing staff has been so helpful. The food is lovely, and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. The cleanliness is good, and the facilities are also good. My Mother in law has just had her hair done in their salon, and was so happy after it. She is back to enjoying her food, and just generally seems to be in a much better place, than she has been for a while. They also have great activities for the residents to take part in, if they wish to do so. It also seems a safely run home, and seems to be secure at all times. We attended a meeting yesterday for Residents/visitors etc, and again were very happy with the way everything was explained to us by the staff, would recommend to anyone.
It's always encouraging to read reviews like this. We are proud to have such a compassionate team and we're glad this has shone though in your experience. Your comments are a testament to the dedication of everyone in the home. We want our home to feel like a community, and it's wonderful to hear that you feel a part of it. We are looking forward to seeing you again.
We have been very impressed with the care home so far, been visiting for 4 months and have been very welcomed, the care is excellent, the cleanliness is excellent and my Aunt is very happy there. Thank you!
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your lovely comments. We are pleased to hear how impressed you are with Colonia Court's staff and facilities. We hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care.
My daughter was taken to Colonia Court from hospital and was treated with great respect and has settled in better than I thought. Wonderful staff. They told me everything that was happening to my daughter every step of the way and I was made to feel welcome.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your kind words. We are glad to help you and your family through such a difficult time and we hope Colonia Court care home did everything possible to make the transition as easy as possible. We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your daughter in our care. Thank you for choosing Colonia Court for thier stay.
I visit my friend twice weekly and find most staff very pleasant. I think they are getting to understand my friend now, being unable to move unassisted, she can get very frustrated and has been misunderstood in the past! However, 4 months later, all seems to be fine and the staff dismiss that now and are really kind. I found the food/drink difficult as I have never seen the meal; she is on a S.A.L.T. diet.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. It is always nice to hear words like "Pleasant" and "Kind" being used to describe our Staff. Our resident's health and well being is an absolute priority. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make Friends stay as comfortable as possible.
Even though she is only a temporary resident, she has been encouraged to join in with activities including themed cultural days, playing bingo and board games and a Rock and roll themed party. She has also been taken to the café at Waitrose.
The attention and care she has received have made a noticeable difference to her health. Simple things like eating and drinking regularly and having her hair done have helped her feel brighter and become more engaged. She now spends her days interacting with other residents and participating in activities, which has improved her quality of life.
I am very happy with the care she is receiving and have peace of mind that she is in a safe and supportive environment.
Thank you for your kind words. It is always nice to hear words like "Kind" and "Caring" being used to describe our Staff. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after. Thank you for choosing Colonia Court Care Home for your Mums stay.
We visited the care home on 20th August 2025 to take part in a small celebration for my sister's 90th birthday. Both my wife and I thought that the staff helped to make the occasion special. Guests attending the party were made to feel welcome and comfortable. Teas and coffees were made throughout the event and help was on hand with passing round the sandwiches and cakes provided by my niece. Our experience on the day reflects the feeling we have had on a number of visits to Colonia Court that the staff provide an excellent level of care to my sister and to my brother-in-law who is also a resident, doing so with good humour, compassion and professionalism. Thank you.

It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after. We hope to continue providing your Sister with the best possible care.
A big concern of ours when we made the hard decision that our dear mum needed proper permanent care. We could not have wished for a better place for her (Mumford House) the staff are great and so good with mum and she is well looked after. The food is also good and tasty and served at regular times. Her room is comfortable and safe, and she is slowly settling in after a couple of months. It puts our minds at rest now knowing she is safe and well cared for every day.
Thank you for your kind words. We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your Mum in our care. It is always nice to hear words like "Great" being used to describe our Staff. We hope to continue providing your Mum with the best possible care.
Biggest issue: laundry, lost/ruined clothes. (20 odd socks at last check!) trousers shrunk, jumpers, etc stretched/unironed.
Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you are impressed with the care provided by our staff. We will discuss your feedback with the home's manager to help them continually improve their service.

My Auntie was admitted to Colonia Court Paxman House 4 weeks ago with terminal Cancer. I can not put into words the excellent care she received. The love shown to her each time the staff walked into her room was amazing she loved them all. All the family also received the same love and support always making sure everyone was eating and drinking and taking rest whenever they could and even a hug when they could see it was needed. We as a family will be forever be gratefull for how they made the last 4 weeks of her life so much better. How do you thank them for that.

Mum moved to Mumford House because he needs had changed and it was not safe for her to live at home. She was not happy in her own home either. The move has not been an easy one but the care Mum has received and the support we have been given as a family has been excellent.
