The personal care here is excellent and the food had improved. Some of the facilities need improving, e.g. the sluice in the high end of Blomfield House needs replacing, as do the rechargeable batteries in the standing hoist. Apart from that, I am very happy here.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is always nice to hear from residents feeling like they are cared for and looked after. We will discuss your feedback with the home’s manager to help them continually improve their service. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
An extremely warm welcome from very knowledgeable staff, made me feel like I could ask for anything. Was very impressed by the whole building obviously purpose-built for care and becoming home to the clients. Care staff and office staff are so friendly, helpful and professional, have to be experienced to be believed.
Thank you for your kind words. We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your loved one in our care. It is always nice to hear words like “friendly”, "helpful" and “professional” being used to describe our care. We hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
My father-in-law has improved significantly in both mood and health since moving to Blomfield House. The staff are attentive and caring and it's lovely to see all the residents well cared for and happy. The admin staff are amazing and extremely knowledgeable and helpful - with a great sense of humour.
Thank you for your kind words. We are pleased to hear your father-in-law's health has improved and you are happy with the care our staff is providing in Blomfield House. If there is anything we can do to make your loved ones stay as comfortable as possible, please do let us know.
Thanks to the superb attention of the staff, I was able to walk out of the building at the conclusion of my stay with practically all of my mobility restored.
Suggestion - how about a small on-site convenience shop where residents (or their visitors) could purchase small items (newspapers, confectionery, stationery, batteries, etc.)?
Thank you for taking the time to leave your lovely review. We hope Colonia Court Care Home did everything possible to make the transition as easy as possible. We will discuss your feedback with the home’s manager to help them continually improve their service. Thank you for choosing Colonia Court Care Home for your stay.
My husband's needs couldn't be met by the care home so he is to be removed and re-homed after further assessment. This has been a very anxious time for me and I must say, the manager at Colonia Court Care Home has been straightforward, honest and professional at all times, giving me the support I needed and contacting appropriate agencies. My feeling is that the staff carry out their care duties well but I would have liked his personal needs - shaving and dressing - to have been given more care.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We will certainly pass your comments on to the manager and glad that the manager was able to be straightforward, honest and professional as our resident’s health and well-being are an absolute priority.
Have been very impressed with the standard of care for my mother during this time. The only criticism I have is that my mother has Macular Degeneration so she needs an eye examination for new glasses. Also a dental appointment.
Thank you for leaving your review. We hope to continue providing your mother with an excellent standard of care, please let us know if there is anything else we can do to make her stay with us as comfortable as possible.
We've been really impressed with the care my mum has received since being here. Prior to this, she was constantly in and out of the hospital. Her health and well-being have improved. Lovely caring staff and nothing is too much trouble.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. We are pleased to hear you have been really impressed with the care your mum has received. If there is anything more we could do to help make her stay as comfortable as possible, please don't hesitate to let us know.
So pleased with the care and concern my mother-in-law has received. She's improved so much since being here. The staff are so lovely and very caring, she's made some lovely friends.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your nice review. We are glad to help you and your family through such a difficult time. We hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care.
Everything is excellent as the form has said.
Thank you for your kind review, we really appreciate your feedback.
My sister is/was staying here for a period of respite. I honestly can't find a single fault with how she has been treated and looked after. The staff always seem happy to see me and the other residents all seem to be happy. I hope if I need to be looked after I end up in a place like this.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your review. We are so glad to hear that you found your sister's care to be faultless and that our staff were welcoming when you visited. Thank you for choosing Colonia Court.
Although one would not necessarily choose to end one's life in care, the kindness and care offered by all the staff was exceptional. My husband was treated with warmth and dignity and everything possible was done to make him feel comfortable. He was encouraged to join in the wide range of activities provided but he was never under any obligation to do so. The facilities for all residents were excellent and the setting, with the small gardens and range of houses, offered a sanctuary for everyone. When visiting I was always made to feel welcome and I was kept fully informed with regard to his care and needs. I would recommend Colonia Court Care Home without hesitation.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us your lovely comments in what must be a difficult time for you. We are so pleased Colonia Court were able to do everything possible in making your husband comfortable. We hope you will go away from this feeling like your loved one received the best possible care, thank you for choosing Colonia Court.
My mum has been a resident at Colonia Court Care Home since May 2022. The staff are fantastic and are kind and considerate of Mum's needs. My mum seems content and happy when we visit. Her room is light and airy and has just been refurbished along with the communal area which is bright and clean and always warm which is very comfortable for Mum who dislikes the cold. We are always encouraged to visit Mum and made welcome. Mum is encouraged to join in activities and the carers are very patient and kind. I am confident that Mum's needs are being met which is very reassuring and I would like to thank the staff for looking after the residents with such dedication.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your mum in our care and it is always nice to hear words like "kind" and "considerate" being used to describe our care. We hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
Very happy with Colonia Court Care Home over the four years my mother has been a resident there.
Thank you for your review. We are glad to hear you are very happy with the care provided for your mother. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make her stay as comfortable as possible.
Visits are now able to be made at short notice and my husband is always clean and comfortable.
Amber Lodge specialises in the care of those with Huntington's, a cruel disease which requires close supervision of all residents to ensure their complex medical needs are met. The staff are trained to anticipate possible difficulties and are always alert, quickly acting should emergencies occur.
Family members are always made welcome and are part of the community of Amber Lodge.
Thank you to all of the staff for everything you do.
Thank you for your review. We are happy to hear you feel like a part of our Colonia Court family. It is so nice to hear the way you describe our staff and care provided. Thank you again for your feedback.
My mum has been a resident at Blomfield House since April 2007. If there have been issues at any point they have usually been addressed and sorted out once I have spoken with staff/management. However, my mum has been rather poorly recently and the home has done really well but the difficulty has been with the GP surgery! It has been extremely challenging and I have not found the GP surgery very supportive either to my mum or Colonia Court Care Home. I strongly feel that this is something that should be looked at in order for the home to look after their residents.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We are aware of the issues you have experienced with the GP and our Management team is looking into this for you.
The staff are very caring and helpful, Mum really enjoys staying here, she loves all the staff. She says she is really comfortable there. She really enjoys the food, she loves tea and cake, it will be great when we can sit and have a cup of tea together, Mum often asks when we can have a drink together.
Thank you for your kind words. It is really good to hear how happy your mum is in our care. We look forward to being able to welcome you in for that cup of tea and chat soon. Thank you again for your review.
My mother recently passed away having spent a little over two years in a Mumford dementia bungalow. During that time, my mother was treated with care and dignity, right up to the end. I live abroad; however, whenever I contacted Colonia Court in order to arrange a visit or speak to my mother, the care home would bend over backwards to assist. Colonia Court was the family's first choice of care home for my mother, who was unable to choose herself due to having dementia, and we have no regrets!
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. We are sorry for your loss, please accept our condolences. It is lovely to hear that you feel your mother was treated with care and dignity, and that you felt our home always assisted when you called. Hopefully, you will go away from this feeling like your Mother received the best possible care.
Blomfield House has well-kept lawns, garden areas, shrubs and trees. Accommodation comprises clean, well decorated, furnished rooms (although, some would wish for more wardrobe space) private toilet room, washing area with basin, together with constant hot and cold water, mirror, tv point, double glazed window and central heating radiator.
Blomfield House has a comfortable, homely feel, with constant care provided by friendly, well-trained teams of dedicated carers. Various activities are provided by an energetic, imaginative activities coordinator.
Food is excellent with ample, well cooked, varied meals and alternative dishes available to individual choice.
The dining room comprises 4 seat tables, which provide flexible arrangements and long tables for main mealtimes and group activities, smaller arrangements for alternative uses.
The lounge has comfortable, although well-worn armchairs, a large terrestrial/digital tv with an online music system.
There is a full laundry service with a seven-day cycle.
Thank you for your lovely review of our services at Colonia Court. I will certainly pass your comments regarding the worn chairs on to the manager. We are glad to hear that you enjoy the menu prepared by our chefs and the activities available. Thank you again for your kind words.
Staff very kind and helpful. Meals varied and adequate. I've settled down nicely and am with my brother which I wanted, so I couldn't complain about anything.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are glad to hear that you have already settled and are happy in our care. Thank you again.
Very satisfied with the staff in Mumford House. Good management. Very satisfied with the care provided to my wife.
Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We are happy to hear you are very satisfied with everything at Colonia Court. Thank you again.
