Over all time Colonia Court Care Home has 107 reviews.
My fears were soon dispelled though as, from my first day there to my last, every single member of the team made both myself and my family so welcome and I found it very easy to settle in to my new surroundings.
In Blomfield House, the unit manager and his magnificent team, without exception, treated me and my family with the highest levels of care, dignity and kindness at all times and for which I will never be able to repay them enough for everything they did for me.
A "clap for carers" seems such a small expression of my gratitude but, from me, they all deserve a "standing ovation".
Thank you Colonia Court.
Thank you for your lovely review, it is nice to hear that your apprehension and anxiety was lifted once you came into our home and you had a happy and comfortable stay. Thank you for choosing Colonia Court for your stay.
Mum moved into Paxman house just over five years ago. All the staff have been very kind, considerate, caring, giving a high level of dignity. During her stay she was happy, enjoying and joining in with the entertainment provided. I would really praise all staff, nothing was too much trouble and their caring attitude was fantastic. Towards the end, Mum, me and my brother were given the utmost attention to which we are extremely grateful. Thank you so much for caring for my mum in the last years of her life.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your lovely review. We are sorry for your loss but are glad that we were able to be there to support you all through this difficult time.
Reception area was friendly and professional.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us your review. We are glad to hear that you felt welcome when visiting us.
My step mum and Dad have been in respite for a few weeks, we are so happy as a family to know how well looked after they both are. My Dad can be challenging at times but their care and patience is second to none thank you everyone on Mumford.
Thank you for your kind words. We are happy to hear that you feel they are both being well looked after by everyone at Colonia Court.
I would just like to say how welcoming Mumford House has been to my Dad who has just been given permanent residency following an initial 8-week stay after a period of ill health which has made living alone impossible. The staff have shown great care and respect and have been very supportive to our family during a stressful and unsettling time. Dad always looks clean, well dressed and is enjoying the lovely meals. We especially enjoy seeing photos taken by the staff of him taking part in the numerous activities which will enable him to thrive and provide vital mental stimulation for him. We look forward to being more actively involved as restrictions are eased.
Thank you for your kind words. We are glad to be have been able to help you and your family through such a difficult time. We also look forward to restrictions easing and being able to allow our families to come in more often.
I required some post-operative care following major surgery for cancer. My sister located Colonia Court for a three-week stay. The home was very good explaining the terms of referral and Covid requirements. They liaised very efficiently with the hospital to arrange my admission. The staff without exception were very kind, diligent nursing care. A very comfortable and positive experience that helped my recovery.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your review. It is lovely to hear our staff described as kind and diligent. Thank you for choosing us for your post operative care.
Our family’s experience here was very negative. We had to make formal complaints to both CQC and the ombudsman. Please check on your family member regularly if you choose to leave them here. We would not recommend this home to anyone looking for somewhere for their loved ones to stay.
Our resident’s health and wellbeing are an absolute priority to us. Regrettably, there was an isolated incident last year that involved a member of your family that did cause distress and for that, we are sincerely sorry. Please know that have fully investigated the matter and dealt with those...
My son has a smoking fixation. I was worried that this might be very stressful. I contacted a nurse, someone who over the years, with a doctor has been very helpful when looking after my son at home. She assured me that Bupa's staff were all trained to high standards and carer to a patient ratio. This has put my mind at ease.
Thank you, we are grateful that you trust us with your son's care.
What can I say, the home is so welcoming and the staff are lovely and my husband is so well looked after and content. We have been married 60 years and never been apart, so to see him like he is makes me feel better. Thank you Colonia Court keep up the good work, and also all the staff in all departments.
Thank you for your kind words. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after.
Although the home isn't a 'glamorous' home, the staff and facilities are amazing. I cannot thank the staff enough for the care and love they give to my mother.
Thank you. We really appreciate your kind comments.
I find the home excellent. The staff are very good but so busy all the time but will help if asked. All very good. If not I would not let my wife be with you. The only worry is at night on their own as I love my wife very much.
Its always hard to trust your loved ones care with someone else, so we really appreciate the kind comments.
The staff and other visitors have always been kind and considerate towards my mother who is very happy here. My mother is always clean and well dressed. The staff contact me if they have any concerns over my mother's health or wellbeing. My family and I are always made very welcome.
It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after. Thank you for the kind words.
My mother is looked after well with kindness and gentleness. All the staff take the time to talk and engage with her. The staff are always welcoming to her family. Thank you from a grateful family.
We are very glad to help you and your family. Thank you for your praise.
Just like to say I'm so grateful of all staff at Amber Lodge, they are fantastic, hard workers and always there to help out parents aswell and always kind. I'm happy they look after my son so much, appreciate what they all do.
Thank you for such lovely comments, we really appreciate it!
Mum was made to feel very welcome and treated with the utmost respect by every member of staff that met her. Special thank yous have to be given to one member of staff in particular, who made sure mum looked her best, even in her final hours.
It is, at this moment in time, very painful to realise our mother is no longer with us, but the memories we have of her and the staff at Colonia Court will help us during our process of grieving and healing.
So once again thank you so much for everything, your efforts meant the world to us all.
Thank you for your kind words. We are saddened to hear about your loss. It is nice to hear you can go away from this feeling like your mother received the best possible care.
I am very happy with the care I have received so far during my time in Blomfield House and I am very impressed with the staff who care for me, however, they could benefit from more staff as I feel they are stretched beyond their means which can sometimes leave them very tired and stressed. I cannot fault anything they do and they always do their best to fulfil my needs, but the home would benefit from a higher staff to resident ratio.
Thank you for your feedback. We will discuss your feedback with the home’s manager to help us continually improve our service.
We are very grateful for the level of care, the dedication of the staff and the cheerful environment of the home during Mum's stay.
Our sincere thanks go to every member of staff that contributed to her experience.
Thank you for your kind words. We are very saddened about your loss. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to help you through such a difficult time.
My father has recently been admitted to Colonia Court. The team and management have been very supportive in helping my father to feel comfortable and had ensured that he has settled in and feels at ease.
Thank you for your kind words. We are happy to hear your father feels like a part of our Colonia Court family. Moving in can be a difficult transition, hopefully, we did everything possible to help ease that.
There is a special events organiser who arranges outings, entertainment, craftwork there is something for everyone who wishes to be involved. Nice gardens to go out in. There is always someone available if you have any concerns.
Thank you for your kind words, we really appreciate you leaving such positive feedback.
Mum has been residing at Blomfield House for just under nine years and has made many new friends along the way. She respects and appreciates every staff member and claims she has "no complaints, whatsoever". The food is good and wholesome and the kitchen always goes out of their way to make sure she enjoys each meal. The staff have learnt her routines, likes and dislikes and always have time for a chat with her; even the gardener and caretaker/handyman keep her up to date with weather forecasts and news!
Although Mum prefers to stay in her room, the Activities Organiser always lets her know what is going on in case she decides to join in. The activities within Blomfield are outstanding.
The room is small and the home is dated but Mum has said she wouldn't change a thing. Mum feels safe and extremely well looked after and the staff working in Blomfield are exceptional. Thank you all for looking after Mum so well and for being such a reliable team - well done to Blomfield's Manager:)
Thank you for your praise. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after. Thank you for trusting us with your mothers care.
