Cephas unit cared for my father-in-law. The staff were friendly and caring and really got to know him well. We were always greeted by staff who were always smiling and there were plenty of them each day. Communication was excellent to my wife who visited every day and I have nothing but praise for the care they gave. It was just a shame my father-in-law's time there wasn't longer.

My dad was moved to Godden Lodge for palliative care. He was so happy to be supported in lovely surroundings by wonderful and cheerful staff. There is so much care and compassion and the team supported my dad, myself and my family through a very difficult time. My dad passed away pain-free and with dignity. I will never be able to say thank you enough to the amazing team for all they did and for the happiness they brought to Dad's life.

Our mother moved into Godden Lodge three weeks ago. Since being there our mother has received exceptional care and nothing has been too much. Unfortunately, our mother needs palliative care and the management and staff have been supportive to us, ensuring we had all the right information to help us make the hard choices we have had to face. They have given us time to decide as a family what is in mum's best interest and then enabled us to gain the support and advice we needed through other healthcare professionals such as GPs and palliative care nurses. Any equipment that our mother has needed has been provided and staff have been attentive and responsive to our mother and ensured she received the dignity, respect and care she required. They have ensured a care plan has been completed which reflects the things that would be important to our mum and enabled our dad to stay with her as long as he needs each day and he leaves with the confidence that she is safe and receiving the care she requires. Thank you.

My father has been a resident at Godden Lodge for nearly four years but this review is for the day of the 24th of January. My dad was on end-of-life care and I received a call to say I should come and spend time with him, I was greeted by a staff member who took me to Dad's room. She checked I was OK but gave me space to be with my dad alone. I stayed all day, into the evening and cannot thank the staff enough, they made a difficult day easier for me. Checking on Dad and I when needed but respecting our space. They are angels. Dad passed away on the 25th of January.

My father came to Godden Lodge after a short stay in the hospital and a short stay in another care home. I am thankful we found Godden Lodge as it is like finding a home from home. After our first dealings with the care system, I can now relax knowing that my father is getting the care he now requires on a daily basis.

The unit where my husband is a resident was locked down over Christmas due to Covid. The residents were unable to celebrate Christmas day so the unit manager organised a Christmas Day for the residents in January.
The decorations and tree were up, a lovely Christmas dinner was provided and the presents under the tree were unwrapped.
All the staff made sure that every resident had a lovely day, creating a great atmosphere and family were invited to join in the day as well.
I can only praise all the staff for all their efforts from the cleanliness of the unit and rooms to the quality of the meals provided and the care and attention given to the residents.

Thank you.

Beautiful, welcoming setting with attractive gardens. I like the fact that everything is on the ground floor and it was fantastic that we were able to sit in the garden with our auntie and remember some of the wonderful times we had together. The staff were exceptional in their care, obvious love for our friend.

Our first time in was very welcoming and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. The staff are outstanding, so pleasant and polite. My husband feels so much better. He can be very trying, but they have gone out of their way to make him feel comfortable. Definitely would recommend.
