Hutton Village has well trained, experienced staff who strive to provide a high standard of residential and nursing care, convalescence, palliative care and respite. Round the clock care and support are delivered with a warm and compassionate approach promoting the dignity, respect and independence of each individual at all times.

They’re here when you and your loved ones need them most. For planned respite or last- minute trips. A safe space to recover after an operation. To experience what their home’s like before moving long- term. To just relax. Whatever the reason, their doors are open.

Originally the village school, the home is decorated to a high standard and is homely and comfortable. There is a lovely garden with lots of sunny and shady places to sit and enjoy, including a pond and a sensory garden. There is a number of choices of bedrooms, all are ensuite, and many enjoy views of the garden and surrounding countryside. The rooms are fully equipped, however, residents are encouraged to bring their own personal possessions if they choose, to ensure they feel at home.

The in-house chef provides nutritionally balanced meals for residents and always offers both a cold and hot option at each mealtime. Residents can enjoy a variety of snacks and cakes throughout their day. The team are happy to discuss individual dietary requirements and preferences.

They have a well-developed programme of activities led by activities coordinators, and there are regular entertainers such as musicians, visits from Pet Therapy dogs, a monthly church service, quizzes, games, films and individually tailored sessions.

My 95-year-old mother spent the last 2 weeks of her life in Hutton Village and the care and help she received could not be faulted.
All staff from the manager, deputy manager, receptionist and nurses and carers were all so very professional and caring.
Such a lovely care home.

My late mother and late father both stayed at this home for several years. They were treated with dignity and respect. The staff are wonderful and caring, including the kitchen staff, housekeeper laundry ladies and handyman and especially activities leader. I still go in from time to time to visit the
residents and I am always made to feel welcome.

I went for post-operative care and was very pleased with the room, surroundings and garden which was beautifully kept.
The staff were excellent, very dedicated, the management is excellent, producing happy and caring staff.
The food and coffee etc were very disappointing and sometimes tasteless and
lukewarm. Otherwise, the overall assessment would have been excellent throughout. If asked they would have altered menus.

I find most of the nurses and carers very helpful and friendly towards Mum. They are kind but Mum could be encouraged to self-care more by some staff. Some are on the ball but sometimes they don't encourage her to wash daily. If she says no, they leave her. She may need more encouragement.

Mum was severely disabled by a stroke in 2003. She was cared for at home by my Dad until he died last year. They were married for 59 years. The emotional and physical challenges of settling Mum into a home were considerable. The professional, friendly and highly competent staff at Hutton were absolutely
key to achieving this outcome. The home is clean, peaceful and welcoming, set amongst fields with wonderful gardens. The food and caring are top notch and there are daily activities for the residents to keep them stimulated and socialised. Mum hasn't been as mentally alert and happy for a long time. We cannot thank Hutton Village enough for what they are doing for Mum.
