Uplands Rehabilitation Centre in Westcliff-on-Sea is an innovative, unique and state of the art 17 bed facility providing short stay, therapy led rehabilitation and reablement services.

The centre provides comprehensive assessment, rehabilitation and therapy services for male and female adults. Throughout their stay, patients are encouraged to make individual choices about all aspects of life at the centre and to be as independent as possible.

Overall Experience
I came to Uplands feeling rather fragile and worried straight from hospital.
I had no need to be worried. From the minute I was welcomed in by two very friendly helpful staff members and taken up to my lovely room and bathroom, I felt at home.
The hard working staff could not do enough for you.

They all come to work with a smile and a nice greeting. The food every day is absolutely fantastic. First Class.

I have found Uplands to be a very helpful and pleasant place to be in.
Staff are all very cheery and willing to care.
Ideal to make you feel better.
Food is always good and a good choice on the menu.

I am very grateful that I have been able to stay here and would recommend it to anyone.

After leaving the hospital I was needing physiotherapy.
The staff are caring and encouraging.
The physio was excellent and very supportive.

I was completely surprised by the excellent conditions that prevailed at the Rehabilitation Centre. The best way to describe my situation, was like living in a 5-star hotel.

I stayed in a clean spacious en-suite room. Staff were very friendly and caring especially the two care staff members who usually helped me with getting up and washing in the morning. They were extremely caring and helpful and seemed to understand my needs even though I don't speak English. They were very patient with me. Excellent job they did for me.

What a pleasant surprise when first visiting this unit. Lovely atmosphere bright and sunny with lovely friendly staff. No problem with any relative being here for rehab. Great facilities. Well done to all workers here from nurses to the kitchen staff. You are doing a great job - Thank you.
