Uplands Rehabilitation Centre

A wonderful home with very caring staff. They all work extremely hard to help get us back to our normal level of capability. The food is amazing and is always presented perfectly. The place is always kept very clean and tidy too.

A lovely, happy place to stay. Excellent staff that are always happy to help. Generally, the food is of a high quality. The bedroom is well kitted out with a wonderful view of the seafront.

Very good and they helped me a lot. 95% of food is very good. Staff are very helpful and friendly and the room is nice.

Staff were generally good, all very busy. However, two were unkind but I never saw them again.

Excellent service and care. Made to feel like part of a family and is more like a hotel than a rehab home. Staff helpful, respectful and polite. Nothing is too much trouble. They have given me back my strength and more mobility. The physio is outstanding.

I would thoroughly recommend this rehab centre, the staff are very caring, the rehab programme is excellent and the rooms are second to none.

The staff were always very polite and caring, they treated my mum with respect and dignity - the care was excellent. They had time to chat and talk to me about any concerns I had. The room was very clean and well looked after. I was apprehensive at first, but it was a very positive and happy experience for me.

the main thing I would change is the quality of the cooking. The food is ok but poorly cooked. There has also been trouble with the central heating which has led to me being cold on a few occasions.

Mums progress is good considering she has only been in the care home for 5 days. I am very impressed.

My experience was extremely positive. The staff were very patient and kind and helped me to get back on my feet after a fall. They were always happy to help and nothing was too much trouble. I honestly wish that I could stay here.

My daughter was pleased in Uplands from Southend University Hospital. A right leg amputee was very traumatising and disturbing. The staff have been excellent and with all the care they are giving her she is making great progress. Her father and I would like to give them all a very big thank you.
