Uplands Rehabilitation Centre in Westcliff-on-Sea is an innovative, unique and state of the art 17 bed facility providing short stay, therapy led rehabilitation and reablement services.

The centre provides comprehensive assessment, rehabilitation and therapy services for male and female adults. Throughout their stay, patients are encouraged to make individual choices about all aspects of life at the centre and to be as independent as possible.

In addition to nurses and rehabilitation assistants, the centre employs a physiotherapist, occupational health therapist, speech and language therapist and psychologist.

The centre’s main objectives is to train people and equip them with the necessary skills to return to independent living following a stroke, brain injury or other complex conditions.

I think that all of the staff are welcoming and attentive.
Uplands is homey but at the same time, the standards of care are of a high standard. The food is excellent and care is taken to offer the right kind of food that meets the needs of each resident.
The physiotherapy is of a high standard and
sensitive to patients' needs and fears.

I came here for rehabilitation from the hospital. My first impressions were that it was a home from home environment (very nearly). On arrival, I had NO mobility and now 2 weeks on, I can feed myself, rotate myself in bed, have movement in my legs. The nursing staff have been very good, the physio outstanding
and the general auxiliary help is very caring, respectful and treated me with the utmost dignity. I would have no hesitation in recommending Uplands Rehabilitation Centre. Both physios are 24 carat gold.

Can not ask for a better service provider. Staff are very friendly and very caring, always ready to help. Doing a very good job looking after the patients, always checking on them and taking care of their needs. I could not ask for more regarding my husband's care from management to ALL THE STAFF including
seniors and juniors, kitchen to cleaners. Thank you.

I was so impressed as soon as walking into Uplands Rehabilitation Centre. The atmosphere was superb the place itself was clean, friendly and very comfortable and the staff were exceptional and certain ones were well and truly dedicated. What a fantastic opportunity for my mum and others to be given.
I think this place is so fantastic. I can't think of any other words to describe it. Absolutely exceptional and a pleasure to be part of it.

I cannot express my gratitude enough for the treatment that I received at the Uplands Rehab Centre.
From the owner, the management, nurses, carers, kitchen staff, physio and occupational therapists, cleaners and maintenance staff. Every member of staff has a smile and are always there to offer help
and advice.
The level of care is extremely impressive and the constant atmosphere of positivity is satisfying and that one big happy family atmosphere will be missed.

My father has been well looked after at Uplands Rehabilitation Centre. He has come from being unable to walk or do anything without assistance to now being independent. All the staff have been extremely caring from the nurses, carers and kitchen staff and cleaners. The rooms are comfortable with every
amenity although a little hot at times. Overall, excellent facilities.
