My brother, sister and I are all very impressed with the way the nursing home has coped during the pandemic, by initially locking-down before the official Government date and subsequently, protecting our mother and keeping her safe and free from harm.
You have all done a marvellous job and deserve the utmost praise for all your efforts.

Hopefully, now we appear to have passed the peak infection rate, life will start to get easier for us all, and when the time is right, we look forward to visiting again.

I feel that my parents are in the best place possible considering their current needs. The staff are always upbeat, helpful and very obviously caring. They show compassion and understanding, not only to my parents but also towards the rest of the family as we struggle to come to terms with our parents' deterioration. I am so grateful for the foresight of the senior staff. They made the decision to restrict access to the care home very early on and this has undoubtedly protected the residents. The staff are somehow managing to remain professional and stoic despite, I'm sure, facing a variety of challenges on a daily basis. The dedication and kindness shown by the staff is certainly helping my family to feel less anxious at this difficult time.

Following a severe stroke, my father spent his last few months at Andover Care Home. The care provided was exemplary; the staff were incredibly kind and supportive during a very difficult time for our family. They went above and beyond to ensure that he passed with the utmost respect and dignity.

The staff, from top to bottom, offered quality care and support to my mother throughout her stay.
Sadly Mum passed away, but the care and support shown to our family has continued and will never be forgotten.

At the start of this year, whilst in France with my wife, I had an immediate need to place my wife in a nursing home on repatriate to UK.
Following the superb care given to my mother from 2011 to 2016, Andover Nursing Home was my first choice.
One short call secured a vacant room. 24 hours later - late at night - my wife was delivered to the home. On arrival my wife knew she was in the right place until I could catch up with her 48 hours later: she was in a warm welcoming location with staff she knew and, importantly, trusted.
In the short time my wife was in the home she was extremely well looked after by a caring and cohesive team of professional staff at all levels. We could not have asked for anything more.

We firmly believe Andover Nursing Home certainly warrants its CQC grading.

My parents have been at the home for the past 8 months and January 2020 was my first visit as I live abroad. My first impression of the home was a warm and welcoming environment with friendly and helpful carers and staff. My parent's rooms were always very clean and tidy. We had lots of family gatherings in the lounges and even watched a film together. Whenever I needed help nothing ever took more than a couple of minutes. I feel my parents are in the best place they could possibly be and I am extremely grateful to all of the staff for making it so great.

My father was a resident of the Andover Nursing Home for almost three years. During that period he went from requiring limited care in an active community to needing full-time bed care. He died there earlier this month (December 2019). His care in the last few months of his life was exceptional and every member of the staff treated him with compassion and dignity throughout what for him and them must have been very trying times. He was aware of his circumstances to his last day, and they took the time and effort to engage with him and to enable him to have the best possible quality of life and care that he could have right to the very end. I was deeply touched by all they did for him, and the extra effort they made for him in the very busy routine that is their daily fare. The Andover Nursing Home was the right choice for my Father throughout his time there and I cannot praise the staff from matron to the most junior carer more highly.

My mother entered Andover Nursing Home in September, following hospitalisation and a short spell at home, during which time it became apparent that she needed a much higher level of care than we, as a family, could provide. We are so glad that we found the Andover Nursing Home, as everyone who came into contact with my dear mum treated her with such kindness and loving care. Both her mental state and her physical needs were looked after, way beyond the basic requirements necessary. All members of our family were welcomed and treated with sensitivity when it became obvious, that mum was not going to survive.

I do thank them from my heart for providing such a haven at a difficult time.

My mother lived at this care home for 3 and a half years, and in all this time the level of care was outstanding. When she first moved in, Mummy was relatively independent and enjoyed all the activities provided both in house and in day excursions. Sadly her dementia increased and her final 2 years were spent in the secure unit for her own safety. She was not always an easy resident and could be feisty, but the nursing and care staff were infinitely patient and caring. During her final days I could not have asked for better, tender care of her - I understand from nurses that mouth care is very important in these last stages and I can say she was always cared for wonderfully in this way. All my wishes were carried out to the letter - even to obtaining a priest to administer the last rites - which was very important to both Mummy and I. The staff were always equally caring and supportive to myself and other members of her family - and even attended her funeral service.

Home is clean, professionally run, welcoming staff. Good care provided. The dignity of the residents well maintained. The top floor can be extremely hot. Also, there is no external view from the lobby/lounge. Good range of activities.

I visit my sister weekly at various different times. I have always found all the staff from the moment I enter the home friendly and welcoming. My mother's health had been failing for about 2 years and so in February 2019, she moved to a garden room in Andover Nursing Home. We did not know then that her passing was so near (21.5.19). I cannot praise the staff who cared for mum any more, they were compassionate, gentle and loving towards her, often going way above and beyond what was expected. The standards of care and cleanliness were top class, never any toiletry smells anywhere and always a sea of smiling caring faces. Thank you for making mum's last few months the best they could have been.
