Andover Nursing Home is, without doubt, the nicest nursing home I and my family and friends have ever visited. The staff are very professional and caring and would do anything they could for our mum during the last weeks of her life. Wonderful place and people.

Thank you all.

I have visited Andover Nursing Home for the last 4 years in which time I have always been greeted courteously and found the staff professional and above all caring to my near relative.

As her dementia took hold and she moved to Danebury Ward the high level of care, genuine guidance and assistance never wavered. As she died the loving care given to her was superb. The outpouring of genuine sadness and love at her passing was touching. The staff also cared for the grieving relatives sympathetically. The home has seen recent improvements which make it look and feel even nicer.

My brother was always very happy, well looked after and kept clean. Staff were friendly, from the minute I walked in the door (reception) and remembered my name. They were kind and considerate and genuinely interested in me and my family.

The residents are made to feel at home and treated with respect at all times. All the nursing staff are permanent with only occasional agency carers and therefore the residents are soon known by all, called by their name and their needs known and catered for.

My mother was a resident at Andover Nursing Home following surgery. The care and support she received was exemplary and we could not have asked for more. The staff that we came into contact were extremely professional and caring. We had visited a number of homes and from the moment we walked through the doors we knew Andover was just the place we had been looking for. My mother’s recovery has been incredible and this is down to the dedication of the staff and their encouragement. The catering and kitchen staff provide an astounding, nutritional and wide choice of options for every meal. There was a very full activities program that was very welcoming and my mother got fully involved in.

My mother has complex care needs due to the various medication that she is taking, all her medication was administered in a timely fashion and without any fuss. I would wholeheartedly recommend Andover Nursing Home.

My mother came to the home for respite care post-surgery, the staff and management have done an outstanding job of ensuring all the residents' needs are met, my mother would wax lyrical about how they could not do enough to make sure she was comfortable and cared for, the home is spotless and maintained beautifully. The kitchen produces tasty and wholesome meals with lots of choice, I ate with my mother on a few occasions and was very impressed. The nursing care she received and the care and compassion from the staff was outstanding. The welcoming reception upon every visit also put my mind at ease that she was in the right place. There was a full schedule of excellent organised activities that took place on a daily basis, my mother had her hair done in the onsite salon which was a nice feature of the home.

I can’t thank the home enough for all the care she has had and have no qualms in recommending this service for all that it does for its residents' needs.

I stayed here for 2 weeks after my knee surgery. I found it very comfortable and the staff very helpful. All the staff are extremely friendly and kind. I would like to say a special thanks to three staff members in the activities team for all the fun times they create. I was using my wheelchair when I arrived but after two weeks of exercises and physiotherapy, I was able to walk with my frame. The food is also superb. It really cannot be better. You have three choices in the menu at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Tea is available all the time. The staff are also available whenever you need them. They all took very good care of my medicines and helped me in any way I needed. Overall, everyone helped me to recover well and rebuild my confidence.

Mum is well cared for in this lovely care home. All the staff are exceptionally friendly, caring and very supportive. Mum is well looked after and her appearance is always immaculate. I am always kept fully informed of all her care. The food is excellent and her room is spotlessly clean. The carers treat mum with respect and nothing is ever too much trouble. It is a home from home with a 'family feel'.

My very frail 93-year-old mother needed sympathy, love and care in the final weeks of her life following a severe fall at her previous care home and lengthy hospital stay.

The nursing home staff could not be praised enough giving care, love and dignity to my mother in the last stage of her life. Always welcoming to family visits. The staff were also very kind in the immediate aftermath of my mother's passing.

My Mum spent Christmas here and has had a lovely time. I don't think she wants to come home! My sister and brother-in-law were able to join her for lunch, which they said was very enjoyable. She had a health issue just after she arrived but this was quickly sorted by the carer/nurse, who advised us how to stop it happening again. The reception staff are always so helpful. This is Mum's third respite home and by far the best for facilities, cleanliness and wonderful staff.

Thank you for the kindness, dignity and respect you showed my father during the last few weeks he resided at your nursing home. The staff I spoke to all remarked what a wonderful place this was to work, all down to the dedication and compassion shown by the management team. I was personally made to feel welcome and was looked after by the nursing staff beyond my expectations while supporting my Dad in his final few days.
