My mum was happy with her time there. I was pleased with her treatment.
I couldn't have asked for a better nursing home for my dad all the staff at Durban House are friendly warm attentive and caring. I am always made to feel very welcome. The residents are all absolutely lovely too. I have made a lot of friends amongst the residents and staff too There is always plenty going on at Durban House to keep everyone entertained and involved. A great gardening club is just one activity that we really enjoy in Durban's lovely gardens. The chefs always provide great food and amazing cakes for special occasions. My dad is really happy and settled here which makes us happy. He has made a lot of friends amongst the staff and residents. Even though its a secure nursing home it doesn't feel that way when you walk through the doors it feels like one big family home.
Thank you so much Deborah, we appreciate your feedback, and it is really good to hear that dad has settled, he definitely has improved and it is nice to hear that as a family you are all making friends and feeling part of our little family.

This care home is a wonderful place, and the staff are incredibly attentive and dedicated. One staff member in particular is amazing, he is always going the extra mile for the residents. My grandad is thriving here thanks to the supportive and caring staff. I'm so grateful for the peace of mind knowing he's in such good hands.

The staff are exceptional-patient, kind, and always attentive to the needs of every resident. They treat everyone with dignity and respect, creating a real sense of community and belonging. It's clear that the team doesn't just work here-they truly care.
The home itself is clean, bright, and welcoming, with comfortable rooms and beautiful communal areas. There are plenty of engaging activities and social events, which have done wonders for residents mood and sense of independence.
Communication with families is excellent too. We always feel informed and involved, and we've never had a concern that wasn't addressed quickly and thoughtfully.

The care home is amazing do such fun activities with my grandad. Couldn't feel more at ease knowing he's getting the best care he could and he's in safe hands. A special shout out to one staff member in particular for always going that extra mile.
Thank you so much for such lovely feedback we are so pleased to have grand dad here and he is settling in so well, today we had him singing Cliff Richard during breakfast
Mum is being looked after very well with lots of patience. She is always nice and clean and the staff are very friendly to us when we visit. We are looking forward to going out in the garden as it now looks all neat and tidy. Would like the chairs wiped down sometime.
Thank you so much for the lovely review, The team would like to say thank you, and to let you know we have new garden furniture in place in the garden. We are all working very hard to make the care and support we give the best we can to ensure that everyone is living well and supported with all of their needs.
Visiting my mum is usually a very good experience as this care staff and management are very friendly. Its nice to see the garden is being maintained well as we like to walk around and sit in the garden when the weather is okay. The cleanliness is good and her room is always tidy. The food always looks nice and mum usually gets small amounts which is what she likes.
Thank you so much for all of your support and kindness, the review is very welcome and we appreciate any feedback for the staff and the home.
The care my father is currently receiving at Durban House is excellent. The care shown to my father by the team is remarkable given the number of residents they have in their care. I can speak for both my partner, sister and mother whom all visit regularly and nothing is too much trouble for the carers.
Thank you Vince for the kind review, dad is a pleasure to support and nothing is too much trouble for the team. We are here to support not only dad, but you all as family as well.
I loved the way the staff cared for my dad always tending to him and trying to make him feel safe making him laugh and encouraging to join in activities until he got poorly he was always up and dressed and eating with the others mixing and joining in as best he could the staff put one hundred percent into the job and did there work with love dad has now passed and I know he had the best care. Thank you Durban House for all your hard work.
My Father-in-law has been at Durban House since May 2024, sadly he died yesterday but I just wanted to thank all the staff for their care, compassion and hard work. It is much appreciated and although he could be a little difficult at times they were so patient and caring and for that I thank them from the bottom of my heart. My husband and I agree this is by far the best Home he was in and was as happy as he could be. They made him as comfortable as they could in his final days and made us feel he was really cared for.
I love it here. Thank you for all you do for me - thank you.
My friend was transferred to Durban House from another nursing home by his wife, this was because of the lack of care. From what I have observed over the last few visits I have made to Durban House, the staff and level of care are so much better. The staff I have seen show such wonderful compassion and interest in the residents. I saw a vast improvement in him today; he was much more animated and seemed happier. This was such a joy to see. Thank you to the staff, I know it's not an easy job, but I can see you care for the residents.
My father is so happy, the staff are great. He knows everyone and they make him feel normal if you know what I mean, they treat him as normal. Nothing is a problem, we ask for help and they support the family. This is the best care home he has ever been in. He is safe and it's the best for him, even on bad days they really help him.
My thanks to all at Durban House.
Thank you so much for this lovely review, we love you both being a part of the Durban family.
Mum is always clean and tidy and well-fed. Daily tea trolleys with cake and fruit are encouraged for residents.
Thank you so much for your review; it is a pleasure to have your Mum as part of our Durban family.
