My husband has bee at Durban House for just over a month. The care he receives is exemplary. The surroundings and facilities are beautiful and all the staff are so welcoming and caring. I really don't think he could be anywhere better.

My mother spent two weeks at Durban House having respite care. The standard of care is of a very high calibre. Staff are very responsive to service users needs. Over the two weeks, staff got to know my mother on a personal level. She felt at ease with staff who have a very professional approach to routine procedures and keeping residents safe at all times (security of the building). We would not hesitate to use the services of this residental care home again.

Durban House Nursing Home is a bright and clean care home with modern facilities. The majority of staff are warm and friendly and some are truly excellent. The activities coordinator provides a good range of stimulating activities and my mother is very happy here. She is well looked after, well-cherished and safe.

Staff are always cheerful and pleasant to residents and visitors. There are a lot of events and outings. My grandmother is well looked after and the staff go above and beyond on special occasions such as her birthday.

There are daily activities organised to enrich the resident's lives and plenty of animal visits and parties.

My husband has been a resident at Durban House for six years. The family are very satisfied with his level of care.
He is well looked after and cared for.
The staff are very caring and helpful to him and myself. Any health issues are dealt with quickly and his GP is called when necessary.

I am very happy with all aspects of his care.

My father has been at Durban House for 5 years now and he has always been looked after very well by all members of staff. The home treats everyone with respect and makes all very welcome, nothing is too much trouble if you want help and discussions about health matters.

Staff are always happy and friendly and it's like going into a home, not a nursing home, it always feels relaxed and calm.

My mother entered Durban House Nursing Home from a care home situation. She has improved remarkably over the past six months, gaining a little weight (which was badly needed).

The standard of care and time spent with her by Durban House has resulted in a much happier and fulfilled lady.

Dad is very happy and well looked after. Friendly staff who are very welcoming, keep us informed and always willing to answer questions. Residents are allowed to mix with each other no matter what difficulties they have, which is lovely.

Very homely.

My mother has been at Durban House Nursing Home for 20 months and I have never had cause to complain about the care she receives. All the staff treat the elderly with dignity and are very attentive. The home is spotless. Never any nasty whiffs. All the rooms are tastefully decorated. Light and bright. Good food, well presented. Monthly programme of activities. Management approachable at all times. Knowing my mother is being well cared for gives me peace of mind.

Choosing the right care home is no easy task. You often have to make decisions regarding your relative at an already stressful time. My mother has been a long term resident of Durban House (7 years +). During the time she has been there, she has been very well cared for. The staff are professional and caring and the environment welcoming. I am very pleased we chose Durban House. I recommend it.

We could not have chosen a better home for Dad to have spent the last five months of his life. All the staff are so welcoming and caring and always treated Dad with warmth and dignity. Nothing was too much trouble and all of my Dad's needs were catered for, even with him getting fussy over his food. All staff also showed great caring and support for us as a family as well as Dad. You felt like you were visiting Dad's own home and his friends, not just a home! We can't thank them enough.

My mother passed away at the end of April in her sleep, we so miss her.
When the time came, all the staff at Durban House were so kind and patient, both to mum and to my sisters and family. Anything and everything we needed was provided. Mum had a beautiful room with all her things around her.
We enjoyed parties at Easter, Christmas, mum's birthday and so many more.
It broke my heart to have mum put into care but we couldn't have made a better choice. Mum was happy, we were happy and as a family miss you all at Durban House.

God bless you all.

Durban House is well organised to provide a comfortable and happy home for the residents whilst carefully attending to their health and medical requirements, very promptly dealing with any discomfort or ill health to prevent any deterioration.

Durban House staff and managers are friendly, helpful and cheerful. The very good food is provided is an important factor in a resident's enjoyment and well-being. As a family we have observed how much our mother's health and well-being have improved in the two years she has been at Durban House, and she has just celebrated her 100th birthday.

I have confidence that my mother is kept safe at all times she is kept comfortable and she is treated with respect and in a friendly way. She is kept clean and dressed appropriately. Activities and outings are offered and she is encouraged to mix with other residents when she declines activities or is tired, her wishes are respected if it is safe. The staff are all friendly and welcoming to visitors and relatives and always make time to talk about anything that I might bring up. The staff are always smiling and look as though they enjoy working there. The garden is lovely and enjoyed by residents and visitors alike. A lovely caring and efficient home.
