Knellwood

My mother Margaret has been a resident for over 4 1/2 years and has just been given a wonderful celebration of her 100th birthday; She repeatedly tells us how happy she is to be living in such a lovely care home with such kind, helpful and efficient management and staff. She says that she is never bored or lonely and goes to bed at night feeling safe and well looked after She and her family feel that she could not be in a better care home than Knellwood.

My mother, who has been a happy resident in Knellwood for more than 4 years, recently celebrated her 100th birthday. She was given such a wonderful experience. The staff are so lovely and caring and they laid on a first rate concert and tea for her and the family it was a fabulous day for Mum and all the family and friends. It is a first-rate care home

I have been in other homes and found none like Knellwood War Memorial Care Home. On entering it is extremely pleasant grounds well kept ample parking. Secure entrance. There is no pungent smell and the reception area and receptionist I have found very friendly. All the staff are well presented and are smiling + happy. The place is spotless, my friend who is a resident here is well cared for (She's 100) fed properly and given all medication regularly and on time. It is very homey and there is something going on everyday. It's like a normal life for her. But she is looked after properly, which she could not do on her own.

Knellwood is the best home around. I took my friend to view other homes in the area and none compared to knellwood. All the staff from nursing, caring, laundry, cooking cleaning maintenance and management were caring and friendly. They have treated my 100 year old friend with dignity and respect. The activities team go out of their way to include everyone and provide a great social life for residents. The home is spotless and does not smell at all. The meals are wonderful and they get choices and the garden is a real pleasure

My mother has been a resident since 2024. Every member of staff that my mum interacts with from maintance to activities, the nurses, catering and manager are all excellent in their communication with her,, this helps her understand where she is. It is a place in which the staff really do care about the residents who have made their home in Knellwood.

As soon as you walk through the main entrance door you can breathe in the ethos of Knellwood. It's a very welcoming environment and you can immediately feel the warmth & care provided by all the staff. I was impressed to see how the staff joined in with the various activities with a lovely smile on their faces. This, undoubtedly, made the residents very happy knowing that they were cared for. I am a relatively new volunteer but I already feel I am welcomed & have thoroughly enjoyed participating in the various activities. Speaking to the residents puts my life in perspective.I enjoy communicating with them & it makes me feel grateful for my life.

Very useful discussion with the ability to discuss Joyce's care plan in detail. All questions answered and it's clear she is being very well looked after.

Knellwood always provide excellent care and entertainment, but they excelled in December (as in previous years) with the facilities provided to residents and their friends and families. Afternoon teas with a Christmas theme were set up in several areas of the home which gave residents the opportunity to enjoy their family time in a very seasonal environment. The level of organisation and detail by the Activities Coordinators was second to none and the whole experience was provided in an extremely professional way and at no extra cost to the families & friends.

Very happy with the care given to my mum. The staff are so wonderful and always helpful and respectful.

I have been a regular volunteer at Knellwood for many years now. It's a fantastic home, just like another family. I especially enjoy taking residents on trips out. I highly recommend this home if you are looking for a home that goes above and beyond to ensure the happiness and wellbeing of it's residents

We have been very pleased with everything at Knellwood. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. Mum is cared for very well. Lots of activities for the residents.

I'm so happy that my friend is enjoying living at Knellwood the grounds are amazing there is something going on everyday from knitting to singing and a lot more in between the menu's are so good so much choice really good home

What a fantastic care home!.

My Nan who suffers with dementia was put into knellwood by our family which as you can all imagine is a stressful time. The staff here helped ease us with everything and I cannot thank them enough. - huge amount of activities which my Nan LOVES. She loves all the staff that work here and classes them all as her " best friends "

Don't ever be worried about a loved one at Knellwood, they will be safe, cherished and loved.

My Mum lived at Knellwood for almost 9 years before she sadly fell asleep for the last time on 31st December. She had many a fun time during those 9 years and made new friends in both residents and staff. She was loved by many and cared for with the utmost respect right up until her last moment there. Every member of staff is amazing in so many ways. It's not just a job to them, they really care, and that shows in everything they do. I'm proud to be included as part of the Knellwood 'family'. A huge thank you to you all.

The carers are so professional and helpful, nothing is to much trouble. The entertainment team are excellent, mum really enjoys the knitting and natter group as well as joining in with the choir. The Christmas events were really special and as a family we were really welcomed and enjoyed joining in with everyone.

Absolutely enjoy coming into Knellwood helping with activities or singing in the choir. Looking forward to fourth coming events which I am taking part in. well done Knellwood You're smashed it again!!!

My thanks to all the staff for the care my mum receives. Knellwood is in a lovely setting, the gardens are beautiful and there is always something going on during the day for her to get involved with if she wishes. I have regular feed back from staff so that mum gets the right support for her as an individual, they are never to busy to make time for her and for us as a family.

I have found this home to be exemplary on all levels. My mother moved in in August 2022. As well as Mum being fully cared for I feel as a family we are all supported in this new chapter in Mum's life. There is so much enrichment available with a super activities team. All the staff are extremely caring. As soon as you arrive you feel you are in a happy place and very welcome to visit. There are beautiful gardens where events are held or you can just go for a walk or sit and relax. The calendar of events is always full to bursting and a regular newsletter keeps you fully informed of the activities available and those which the local community can also enjoy. All the staff have time for anything you may wish to discuss or arrange such as afternoon tea for mum's friends. Being run by a trust Knellwood's priority is its residents, their care and wellbeing above all else. As my mother said, being Farnborough born and bred - if I have to go to a home I only want to go to Knellwood!
