Pax Hill Care Home

My sister is very well looked after she feels at home and loves the carers as they are dedicated to caring for everyone. Her room is always clean & tidy. Washing is always put away when done.

Pax Hill is an excellent care home for my husband. He is well cared for in a very kind and caring environment. All the staff, nurses, carers, domestic and administration are lovely, kind, caring and compassionate yet professional at all times. There's lots of activities for residents to enjoy including regular get togethers for residents and their families. A great choice of care home.

As a family we cannot say enough good things about Pax Hill. Dad has been treated with care, kindness and dignity since he moved in. The admission process was smooth and efficient and personal to Dad's needs. His room is clean and comfortable. The nursing staff are kind and diligent in caring for his medical needs. The activity staff go out of their way to be helpful and organise games and activities that Dad enjoys. We are very grateful to know Dad is being so well looked after.

This is the first time I have visited my sister here. She seems very well and happy and well fed. The problem she has with her legs is being addressed and managed very well. She is glad to be amongst people she can talk to. We sat in the garden, which is lovely and well cared for. The whole establishment's walls are decorated with very interesting hobbies/pastimes. It's a delight.

My 101-year-old sister-in-law went in for a 2-week respite period and decided she would like to live there permanently because she felt safe and so well cared for and Paxhill welcomed her which was lovely. Not once has she wished she was back home.

Very happy with Pax Hill. It provides a nurturing and supportive environment where all residents can thrive or live out their lives in comfort and security. Great social interaction program. Staff are warm and welcoming and utmost professional.

Have not been present at a main meal yet, but impressed by snacks. On a couple of occasions, workmen or deliverymen have propped open doors, which we felt was a danger.

Mother has been resident for nearly 3 years. Her health and well-being have been monitored and adjusted to her needs. The staff are very kind, patient and well-trained in their fields. The home is clean and in good order and nothing is too much trouble. All queries and issues dealt with promptly and efficiently. We are very happy with our mother's care. Thank you Pax Hill.

My father was not at Pax Hill for long but we cannot thank the team enough for the care they provided. His transition from hospital to Pax Hill was quick and extremely efficient. The nurses and care team who looked after him were exceptional; kind, caring and respectful at all times. My father was treated with dignity and the kindness extended to our family at a difficult time made all the difference.

my husband has been in Pax Hill since the end of December 2025. He has a rare neurological condition and Parkinson's. Pax Hill carers have to do everything for him and he cannot feed himself. He is very well looked after. All the Carers and Nurses at Pax Hill are extremely caring with residents. Medication is given on time and regular updates given. There are also activities for residents every day. As well as hairdressing, chiropodist and a visiting physio if needed.

Very helpful at reception, all staff very helpful and caring. Wonderful nursing care and aware of my husband if he was in pain and administered pain tablets. He was always kept washed and in fresh clothes. He has a nice room with views up the fields and could see birds. I will recommend Pax Hill to anyone who requires.

I am delighted that my mother is looked after at Pax Hill. I know she is well looked after and cared for. Pax Hill, its staff and its ethos have helped me navigate what would otherwise be an extremely difficult time. I am very grateful for all that they do.

My mum has been in Pax Hill for just over a year. My sister and I and the extended family are so grateful for the kind love and compassion Mum has been shown, she has settled in and improved in many ways with the encouragement of nursing staff and the general care and attention given by the care team. We are very grateful Mum is living in Pax Hill.

Pax Hill is welcoming to all. The staff demonstrate kindness. All staff treat my parents, who are both residents, with dignity and respect at all times. Food is excellent. The care given is excellent, and any concerns regarding my parents' health or emotional needs are raised early and communicated appropriately. The activities coordinators encourage both to be involved and particularly enable my mum to engage as much as she can to get maximum fun and enjoyment. It is great that Pax Hill involve outside guests from the local community to entertain the residents.

Caring staff are wonderful and my mum has taken to them very well. Mum is very happy there and has 24/7 attention. They calm her anxiety down and treat her exceptionally well. She is washed and dressed and looks good any time of the day. Fabulous surroundings and a very clean and friendly environment.

Staff are friendly and caring. Reception team very welcoming. Very calm atmosphere. Nan is very settled and safe. Staff really seem to know Nan, which is really reassuring.

My father was at Pax Hill for 2-and-a-half years. It was a happy time for him. Everyone there exceeded expectations. He had the same 2 carers for the entire time he was there and their care was amazing. There is a real family atmosphere and visits are allowed at any time. There is a very low turnover of staff so families get to know everyone. We cannot praise Pax Hill enough.
