My sister has been at Fair Havens since June 2024. She has dementia and advanced arthritis of the spine, unfortuantely due to reduced mobility and blindness she is now bedridden. She needs much care to meet her current condition and I am thankful that I chose this care community as the care provided is exemplary. On my frequent visits I am impressed with all aspects of the support my sister receives. All the staff are friendly and show great concern for her wellbeing. My sister is treated with concern and with dignity and there is always a willingness to engage in conversation with her despite her dementia.
Thank you for your review, it does mean a lot to us all that you are happy with your sister's care and the staff Thank you for your kind words
I have always been very happy with the care and assistance that has been given to my mother, always been treated with dignity. Recently, my mother celebrated her 100th birthday. I said I would come up early before the family fathering and get mum ready. When I arrived, she looked amazing, all dressed up, hair done and wearing a tiara and sash. 14 of us celebrated with a beautiful cake and some fizz (non alcoholic) for mum and the drivers. The sun shone, photos taken, and a great day was had by all. The best bit of the day was the card from the King and Queen. These people who care are all worth their weight in gold. Fair Havens is the best. Well done to Tracey and all the staff.
We are always pleased to hear when families are happy with their parents care, and we enjoy celebrating their milestones along with their families and friends. I will ensure that your gratitude is passed on to the carers as they do a good job .
My mother has been living at Fairhaven for over two years and during that time she has received excellent care. On my visits to the home I am always met with a friendly greeting. I find the staff to be well trained, showing patience and understanding and they treat my mother with kindness and respect.
Thank you S B for your care review, I will pass on your kind words to all the staff
Fair Havens staff have been extremely kind and caring and although he didn't settle at first he now seems happy and contented. Thank you to all the staff for their care. We are very grateful to have him looked after so well.
Thank you Jenny for your kind words , the staff love to hear that the families are happy .
My mum has been at Fair Havens for about 3 years. I found the staff very polite and professional. They treat my mum with care and respect while also keeping her dignity and wishes.
My mum has been a resident at Fair Haven Care Home for 3 years. My family and I have no worries at all. All staff are caring and polite.
My father has lived at Fair Havens for a month now, and he has settled in very quickly and is thriving well and is very happy there. All of the staff are fantastic, they are very kind and caring and are also highly professional in their procedures for caring for their residents. Residents are encouraged to be independent where possible, and support is given when needed. Family members and visitors are always welcome to visit. We could not have chosen a better care home for my father.
I had been my mums main carer for 15 months and could no longer do it. I was very worried about her going into a home. She has been in Fair Havens for 10 months now and I needn't have worried. Everyone is very caring, nothing is too much trouble. As soon as you walk in you are warmly welcomed and it has a really peaceful and friendly atmosphere. I can't thank all the staff and management enough for looking after my mum. I can now be her daughter again and not her carer. Thank you.
Thank you for your lovely words,it means a lot to know you feel mum is cared for and lift the worry from you.
Cannot find fault with Fairhavens all the staff are polite and caring lovely home.
Thank you for your review we as a team like to hear that the residents' families are glad they chose Fair Havens.
Staff are very good and helpful.
Treat our mum with dignity and respect.
Very understanding.
Thank you for a lovely review; the staff likes to hear from the families, it tells them they are doing a grand job.
The home provides a safe, caring environment for my mother. She is treated with dignity, thoughtfulness and humour, all of which she, and we, are most appreciative of. Despite their heavy workload, the staff always seem to have time to chat and engage with her. They are aware of her interests and chat about them. When required, they have dealt with her medical needs with professionalism and understanding, allaying her fears and keeping us informed. There is always a happy and relaxed atmosphere whenever we regularly visit.
Thank you for your feedback as a staff team we appreciate positive reviews.
While at the home, mum has received very professional care, both for her physical and mental well-being. Staff are very friendly and have established positive relationships with mum and all of our family. They have supported mum and us with any decisions we have had to make, including those with outside agencies. They regularly organise events to celebrate birthdays etc, where we are all invited. A very friendly and welcoming home. We would and have recommended the home. It is the second time we have had a family member at the home.
Thank you for the lovely review, family input is always appreciated
Management and staff are very efficient, kind, caring and patient. All prepared to listen, a great understanding of all people's needs and care they need. The home is a cosy, comfortable, very homely and calm atmosphere. Extremely clean and always very welcoming to families. All staff work well together as a team. My mother is safe and well cared for.
Thank you for your input about the home, and as a home, we appreciate this.
Mum arrived at Fairhavens from hospital having spent two months there. She was made to feel welcome by the management and care staff and has settled in quickly. We, as her family, know that she is safe and well cared for. All the staff are helpful, approachable and friendly towards mum and us as visitors.
Since my mother-in-law entered care at Fairhaven the staff have been excellent. She has Alzheimer’s and although she showed some challenging behaviour in the initial days they have worked very hard to settle her. Nothing was too much trouble and the manager has been very patient with us as well. We looked at several places for her but the manager sold us on Fairhaven by virtue of her enthusiasm and caring nature. We knew we had made the right decision after just a few weeks.
Fair Havens Care Community have been extremely helpful and supportive in tracking the care of my brother. It is a great source of comfort for me to know that everything he could need is catered for in such a professional manner.
From all the Team at Fair Havens thank your review of the home.
My mother spent two months in hospital following a fall which resulted in a broken arm. She now has limited functions she can carry out. It was finally agreed that she would go to Fair Havens Care Community. She had always had a fear of going into care but she is now so happy there and like a new person. The staff are so caring and attentive.
Thank you for your review it's nice to hear your mum is settling in.
All staff treat residents with kindness and respect. They genuinely appear to care and make people feel valued. The team are kind and polite to relatives and understand the need for updates and reassurance regarding loved ones. I would recommend Fair Havens to anybody who is looking at care for a loved one.
Thank you very much for your kind words. We will be sure to share your lovely review to the whole team here at Fair Havens.
My dad moved into the home a month ago and has settled well after a few initial days of disorientation. The staff helped get him settled and were really kind and understanding with him. The staff are patient and caring with the residents and very helpful and friendly when I visit. The residents all seem happy and my dad is well looked after, clean and very content I highly recommend this home and feel so relieved he is happy and safe.
Thank you for a lovely review, we are glad you can feel relaxed knowing your dad is well looked after.
Mum came to Fair Haven after a fall, we have found it to be such a happy caring place that we have made her stay permanent. The staff are all so friendly and helpful, they look after mum so well and are always available when she needs them. We are also made very welcome when we visit. All in all this is a very happy home and we are happy mum lives here.
Thank you so much for your kind words, we appreciate your feedback

Started working with Keychange as Head of Care in 2014, she became a Registered Manager in 2016 and since then she is leading the team of Fair Havens.

I started working at Fair Havens as the main cook in 2013, before becoming kitchen manager. I was then approached to become the deputy manager which I started in 2017! I have various qualifications including GCSEs, NAMCW in Child Care, an NVQ in Food Preparation and Cooking and an NVQ Level 3 in Adult Social Care.
I am able to work in any section of the home, and really enjoy spending time with our residents. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my two daughters, and my husband and going out to dinner, having family holidays and reading.
