Overall Experience
My husband was resident at Burford House Care Home for over four months. Whilst he would of course prefer to be at home, I found the care I could provide inadequate and Burford provided that very adequately. The staff are superb, patient, personable and efficient. He found socialising rather noisy and overwhelming but the presence of people laughing and enjoying themselves added to a cheerful happy atmosphere.
The food, as in any place, became monotonous though efforts were made to liven it up. Fresh fruit, drinks and snacks were always freely available and no objection was made in me bringing in further snacks.

Overall, a caring, happy place to be in to be nursed and cared for.

Did not participate in any activities. Meals were late and some courses were missed on these dates (05/6/23, 07/06/23, 08/06/23 and 16/06/23) and this caused some stress. I found it difficult to adjust but after ten days, I was fine. Thank you for the care that I received, it was first-class.

From the time you walk in, Burford House creates a warm welcome, always with a smile on the front desk and in the office to the left. All the staff are fantastic, caring and kind to my mother and father, who visits daily. Nothing is a problem, they are all willing to help regarding any issues or requests. All I can say is this care home is outstanding in every manner and I am truly blessed it's on our doorstep.

Overall Experience

Dad became a resident of Burford House earlier this year. From the moment Dad entered the building he was treated with kindness, reassurance and courtesy, this kindness was also extended to his family. The whole home is extremely clean and decorated to a high standard. The care Dad receives on a day-to-day basis is exceptional from absolutely every staff member, nothing is ever too much trouble for anyone. Each day there are activities and everyone is included along with the local community. Dad very much enjoyed cooking with some local school children and enjoyed a pint of Guinness on St Patrick’s Day. There is always an amazing choice of food which is prepared and served to a high standard. Dad's physical and mental well-being has improved dramatically since he has been a resident and I can’t thank everyone enough for all that they do!

Burford House was the perfect choice for my mother to recover from a fall. All the staff were kind, considerate and professional. Nothing was too much bother. The facilities are impressive, well-designed and modern but still with a homely feel. When visiting, I was always made to feel very welcome, and the staff always found time to listen. My mum could not have been in safer hands, and I cannot thank them enough.
