Hill House provides nursing, residential and short stay care, as well as residential rehabilitation for the young and old. Hill House is a spacious, elegant eighteenth-century building converted to provide residential and nursing care, for long and short term needs. As well as supporting elderly residents, staff welcome those who are 18 and over and living with a physical disability or neurological condition, such as multiple sclerosis, in need of residential care.

Residents can expect a high standard of care in the midst of a friendly community. With each of their cosy bedrooms, residents can enjoy the convenience of an en suite, and there are lovely views across the gardens and surrounding countryside.

There are lots of places to relax, including the choice of six lounges. Residents can cosy up with a book in the library, use the computer room, or enjoy being pampered in the salon.

The large gardens are especially tranquil because they back onto a small area of woodlands. Within the walled space, residents can stroll along the paths, rest under the pergola, or catch-up with loved ones on the patio.

They want residents to settle in quickly and be happy here. That’s why they help them to hold onto as much independence as possible.

There’s also good food, lots to do, and a warm welcome for friends and family whenever they visit.

The team of activity coordinators plan all sorts of interesting things to do, including those who are less mobile. All activities are tailored to each person's likes and abilities too.

The chef prepares a range of delicious foods, including some family favourites and kosher meals.

The staff are all without exception caring and considerate. They all genuinely try to do their best for the residents. They also go out of their way to provide entertainments that are requested by the residents. The home is kept very clean and the food provided is varied and individual requirements
are well catered for.

My wife's room is very nice and the food is excellent. Communication from the management and staff to me is very good. The nursing and care staff are excellent and they have developed a relationship with my wife which is very comforting to her and reassuring for me. All round, a very good home from

I have had respite here 4 times and I find the staff most helpful and friendly. They have got me back on my feet when needed.


The activities are all excellent and I have recommended various friends who have also stayed here.

My brother suffers from post-polio syndrome and is unable to move, talk and eat or drink normally. Both the carers and the manager have always shown the best of care towards my brother. It is a difficult job which demands patience, special skills and that unselfish care that is needed with severely
disabled people.


I am so grateful that I found a care home that has these qualities.

My father has been a resident of Hill House for almost 3 months now, during that time the staff have worked hard to help him settle in.
It is particularly reassuring to have nursing care 24/7 and the nursing staff have been excellent - diligent and professional.

I have been looked after very well. Staff are very caring, dedicated and very helpful. I recommend this home to anyone. No trouble I have seen, and liability. I have been looked after very well. I have never seen any trouble at all.
