Hill House provides nursing, residential and short stay care, as well as residential rehabilitation for the young and old. Hill House is a spacious, elegant eighteenth-century building converted to provide residential and nursing care, for long and short term needs. As well as supporting elderly residents, staff welcome those who are 18 and over and living with a physical disability or neurological condition, such as multiple sclerosis, in need of residential care.

Residents can expect a high standard of care in the midst of a friendly community. With each of their cosy bedrooms, residents can enjoy the convenience of an en suite, and there are lovely views across the gardens and surrounding countryside.

There are lots of places to relax, including the choice of six lounges. Residents can cosy up with a book in the library, use the computer room, or enjoy being pampered in the salon.

The large gardens are especially tranquil because they back onto a small area of woodlands. Within the walled space, residents can stroll along the paths, rest under the pergola, or catch-up with loved ones on the patio.

They want residents to settle in quickly and be happy here. That’s why they help them to hold onto as much independence as possible.

There’s also good food, lots to do, and a warm welcome for friends and family whenever they visit.

The team of activity coordinators plan all sorts of interesting things to do, including those who are less mobile. All activities are tailored to each person's likes and abilities too.

The chef prepares a range of delicious foods, including some family favourites and kosher meals.

My brother lived there for over 5 years until his death. He loved his big room and enjoyed the friendship and great care of all the staff, including the housekeepers. He looked forward to his meal which was always hot and nicely served up. The manager came to each resident every day he was in, making
sure my brother had all he needed and the room was up to his high standards. My brother said he wished the carers had more time to chat, but they were always so busy. He said he would have liked to be introduced to new male residents, in case they had similar interests, but he only met people in group activities and rarely knew their names. His last years were some of the most secure he had experienced.

My father was only in Hill House for approximately four months but during that time he was looked after so well.
The staff always had time for him, the carers treated him with dignity. He did miss being in his own home but soon came to think of Hill House as home.

From the moment I arrived and very shortly after my aunt arrived the welcome and service provided especially by the nurse was superb. My aunt only survived 6 days in the care home but she was looked after very well and passed away peacefully. The phone calls from the nurse and aftercare service with

My late mother was admitted to Hill House care home in September 2014 following a severe stroke, which rendered her totally incapacitated. She remained in Hill Houe until her death in January 2015 and during that time she received excellent, professional and loving care form all the nursing staff and
management. Although my mother was too ill to partake of them, a full and varied range of talks, concerts and other activities is arranged by the events team. I enjoy visiting the current residents at least once a week and I have the honour of taking a monthly communion service.

I find all the staff caring, compassionate and efficient. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is good and varied and there is plenty of choice. The entertainments are also varied and any requests are catered for if possible.

Very pleasant stay after operation. Staff friendly and helpful. Would have liked to have seen grab/support bars to shower area to assist my progress in self-help instead of having to shower on a chair.

The staff are all without exception caring and considerate. They all genuinely try to do their best for the residents. They also go out of their way to provide entertainments that are requested by the residents. The home is kept very clean and the food provided is varied and individual requirements
are well catered for.

My wife's room is very nice and the food is excellent. Communication from the management and staff to me is very good. The nursing and care staff are excellent and they have developed a relationship with my wife which is very comforting to her and reassuring for me. All round, a very good home from
