The accommodation offers fantastic all round care under difficult individual circumstances. I feel at times the residents are left on their own a little too much in the communal areas by no fault of the carers, this is mainly due to staff shortages and when two are required for individual needs.

The residents are entertained with different activities and on a regular basis including visiting the hairdressers. The food seems to be enjoyed and is good. Well done to all the carers fantastic job.

Thank you for your feedback regarding Trembaths. I am pleased that you feel the carers do a fantastic job together and that activities and food are all enjoyed. I note your comments regarding residents being left on their own a little too much in the communal areas. I would like to reassure you...

Mother incapable of writing- management is in the process of being changed which is good as the past manager had changed too often, no good for staff running of the home, families and residents. On the whole, the staff are great, the people who stood out are the entertainer and hairdresser. The cleaners are very good and friendly. Mother is being well looked after if she wasn't she would not be alive at 101! When a job needs doing they are always willing to help. There are niggly complaints from time to time but that's all.

Staff have been very supportive and very honest and open with us about mum's needs and progress/regression since she has been there. They try to involve as many as possible in the activities but when family are there they don't push it and allow privacy and family time. They always celebrate special occasions for residents and genuinely take the time to get to know each resident and their likes/dislikes and cater to that as much as possible. They provide one on one as much as they can but unfortunately as they are not flush with staff it is not as much as we would like to see but they try their best. The home is well looked after and the food quality and variety is excellent. Highly recommended.

My mum went into Trembaths four months ago under fairly traumatic circumstances after a fall, she just wanted to go home but it wasn't possible. She has been quite a challenge but the staff have been wonderful, kind, patient, caring and sympathetic with us all.
We couldn't ask for mum to be in a better place, she is being cared for by a fabulous team of experienced, happy and caring people.
Trembaths is a happy and calm place to be and we feel very lucky that a place was available when we needed it.

We can never thank you enough for all you do and always with a smile. We always knew it was the right place for our mum after our visit earlier in the year when we visited local care homes for people with dementia.

I would like to express my sincere thanks to all the staff at Trembaths for the care, kindness, patience and dignity they give to our mum. It has been a tough few months since mum went to live at Trembaths but the staff have all been so supportive and very kind. As a family we are so very glad that mum is now safe and very well cared for by a wonderful team and we would like to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

Trembaths seems to be very well run and there is always someone on hand and with time to discuss things with you. It is always so lovely and clean (without that 'care home smell') and has a peaceful, calmness about it. There are always plenty of activities going on to stimulate the residents and family members are always welcome to join in these activities.

From the moment my father and I walked through the door we have both been made welcome and supported. Finding the right home for your parent is hard as well as the great feeling of guilt. The transition for my dad was made easier as the staff took time to find out about him. He has always been treated with respect and dignity. The staff are fantastic and Trembaths now feels like home for both of us. The food looks really good and is prepared on site using fresh ingredients. I would highly recommend Trembaths.

My wife has dementia and was admitted to Trembaths on the 4th of Jan 2015, she became unable to stand at home and I needed a care home to look after her. She settled in very well and has been looked after in the dementia unit by caring attentive and well trained staff. Her needs are attended to and everyone is most considerate with the increasing demands of dementia. I had previously visited 5 care homes in the area to see how they performed. This was my best choice. The home was in the process of appointing a replacement manager during the period my wife was admitted.

My mother has been a resident at Trembaths for over six months now and I am really pleased with her care. She settled in really quickly and easily and she has a lovely room with her own en-suite. Her room is cleaned daily including clean towels and bedding. The staff are all lovely and mum has got to know them all and is really comfortable with them. Mum was really thin when she went into Trembaths as she didn't eat very well living on her own, but now has put on a little weight and looks really well and healthy.

Although mum doesn't join in with a lot of activities just yet, there are a good range of daily activities at Trembaths and even some outings. Mum likes to attend the church service they hold there once a week. I do honestly feel that mum is happy and well cared for at Trembaths and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a care home for their loved one.
