Located in Letchworth, MHA Trembaths holds a special place as the first nursing home opened by MHA in 1989, setting a trend as the first care home in the UK’s first garden city. The home provide nursing, residential dementia and palliative care for 51 residents.

My wife has dementia and was admitted to Trembaths on the 4th of Jan 2015, she became unable to stand at home and I needed a care home to look after her. She settled in very well and has been looked after in the dementia unit by caring attentive and well trained staff. Her needs are attended to and
everyone is most considerate with the increasing demands of dementia. I had previously visited 5 care homes in the area to see how they performed. This was my best choice. The home was in the process of appointing a replacement manager during the period my wife was admitted.

My mother has been a resident at Trembaths for over six months now and I am really pleased with her care. She settled in really quickly and easily and she has a lovely room with her own en-suite. Her room is cleaned daily including clean towels and bedding. The staff are all lovely and mum has got to
know them all and is really comfortable with them. Mum was really thin when she went into Trembaths as she didn't eat very well living on her own, but now has put on a little weight and looks really well and healthy.
Although mum doesn't join in with a lot of activities just yet, there are a good range of daily activities at Trembaths and even some outings. Mum likes to attend the church service they hold there once a week. I do honestly feel that mum is happy and well cared for at Trembaths and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a care home for their loved one.
