My husband has been in this care home for over a year now. I take him out once a week, and he always seems happy. They have plenty of activities to keep him busy, which he really enjoys. The staff are very caring and have plenty of patience. It puts my mind at rest that I don't have to worry about him.
Many thanks for your kind review. We are pleased that you feel your husband receives care and social activity as per his wishes, and that he enjoys his time spent within Montrose Care Home. Please do let our Engagement Lead know if there is anything else you feel your husband would like to see as part of our activity and outing provision.

My Mum moved into Montrose care home in Watford over two years ago, at first she struggled making the move from her own home. She had always said she would never go into a care home. The kind and supportive care team have gone above and beyond to help her settle in. Fantastic care is always given, although my mum is now bed-bound, she is always wonderfully presented when family visit.
Many thanks for taking the time to leave a lovely review. We are delighted that we meet you and your families expectations and you feel mum is well cared for by the team.
Thanks to all the team members.

My mother settled into Montrose very quickly. She had previously been unhappy and anxious but since moving into Montrose she is happy and much more contended. She is eating better than she has for ages she really enjoys the food. He room is lovely and comfortable. She can have privacy or go to the lounge to mix with other residents. The staff are friendly and caring. My mother initially moved in for respite care but she is so happy at Montrose she is now staying permanently.
Thank you for your kind review. We're extremely pleased mum has been able to settle so quickly and so well into Montrose Care Home. We continue to develop her person-centred care plans, and if there is anything you feel that we can add to enhance her stay, then please let us know.
All the Carers who are part of dad's team and overall at Montrose are excellent. We can't thank you enough.
Thank you so much for your review. We are glad that you feel Montrose is a place where both your dad and, you as a family, are supported and that his individual needs are met with care and compassion.
My mother has been in Montrose care home for about 2 11 years now. I feel she has been well cared for with kindness shown by all staff. Luckily as a family, we are able to visit regularly and any problem is addressed and resolved quickly and efficiently. The home is always clean and warm, which is reassuring. My mum feels safe in the common areas, as apposed to her room and sometimes feels the carers are hard to reach when near.
Many thanks for your review, and we are pleased to hear that mum feels safe and well cared for here at Montrose. If there is anything we can do to support your mothers holistic wellbeing, then please do not hesitate to speak to one of the team.
My aunt has been in Montrose fr about 10 years and is very happy there, and says she doesn't feel lonely living on her own anymore. The staff look after her very well. for her 100th Birthday they arranged a party and an entertainer. The entertainment is very good and the staff very friendly.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review. We are very pleased to hear that your aunt feels supported and cared for here at Montrose, and that she feels engaged in our social activities enjoying others company. We're glad to hear that your aunt enjoyed her 100th birthday celebrations with family, staff and other residents.
My mother has been a resident for almost six years. During that time she has been looked after by many different carers, all of whom have treated her with courtesy and respect. Her health has deteriorated and she is no longer mobile, but every effort is made by the staff to cater to her needs. She has never wanted to join in the many excellent activities other than the cinema, which she enjoys and looks forward to. I have always been impressed by the standard of care at Montrose and the friendliness of the staff.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a lovely review. If there is anything you feel we can help with in engaging your mother, or something particular she would like to see then please let us or the engagement lead know.
Staff were very helpful, friednly, caring and efficient. Excellent all around, there is nothing more to say.
Thank you for your review, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay.
Our aunt moved into Montrose Care Home in November 2023. She wasn't too keen on the idea of moving into a home permanently but she had broken both her hips and was 94! She is now so happy that she moved in and is looking healthier. We have found all the staff to be friendly and caring. She loves that there are activities she could join in with but doesn't feel pressured to. We would definitely recommend the home to anyone looking.
Many thanks for your kind review. The team are pleased to hear that both you and your aunt are happy with the care and support we offer. If there are any activities your aunt may be interested in, then our engagement lead will be happy to discuss this with you.
You are always given a pleasant welcome, they love our visits with dog and joy and happiness are evident, despite being difficult place to work at times, no doubt.
Although I lost my mum two years ago, I still visit her friend there, that says it all!
Many thanks for your kind review. We are pleased that you found the team here at Montrose Care welcoming and with a person centered approach to your mothers and her friends care. We will ensure that your review is shared with the whole of the team.
My mum has been at Montrose Care Home for over a year now. I am a big fan of Montrose. My mum was no longer safe to live at home. We had tried having carers come in to her home and it just wasn't working. I was so lucky that I found Montrose. They really pulled out all the stops to help get my mum in for respite care to begin with. What a difference from the first day. They put my mind at rest and were able to deal with my mum in the most professional way. I know it can be really challenging at times but they are so experienced, professional and nothing will phase them. There is a really homely feel to Montrose. Staff and residents are relaxed and friendly. I feel blessed that I know when my mum is being cared for at Montrose. There's always a cheery face bringing her a cup of tea, remembering her medications, bringing her meals and snacks and so much more. There are special days too like the beautiful care they took to mark my mum's birthday. She really felt special.
We are very pleased that you feel Mum is cared for and safe while living here at Montrose Care Home, and that her individualised needs are met. The team strive towards making a 'home from home' feel for all our residents and that family and friends feel supported with the transition of a loved one moving into a care home. Thank you so much for your review.
During this time my wife and myself regularly visited. The staff were always welcoming and pleasant in their attitude.
My friend's health deteriorated quickly during the latter part of her stay leaving her confined to her room and therefore largely unable to take part in group activities. Her personal care was always excellent.
Thank you so much for your review, and please accept our sincere condolences. While we share the loss of your friend, it is always good to hear that they were settled, happy, and well-supported within Montrose Care Home and that you also felt the same while visiting.
I consider my two brothers and myself are lucky to have my mum in such a lovely home. We have no worries about her care. She is very well looked after from cleanliness to health care, catering and activities. The home has just been refurbished so lovely and clean and bright atmosphere. The staff have a very difficult job but are very hard working, friendly and patient. There is always a full programme. Thanks to the lead activity person and although at 96 she doesn't always want to join in, she is encouraged to. We are always informed of any health issues and a doctor regularly attends. I would have no worries recommending Montrose Care Home.
Many thanks for your lovely review, we are glad that you and your family feel that your mother is well cared for and feels safe residing in Montrose care home.
Dad has been a resident for over 3 years now and he is well thought of by staff. His needs have become greater in the last year as his mobility and memory are getting worse, but he always looks smart and well cared for. If there are any issues I do not have any problems bringing these up with the senior carers.
Many thanks for your review. I'm glad dad feels comfortable and well cared for, and that should you need to, staff are always approachable and happy to assist.
Our Mum lived at Montrose Care Home for over 6 years. We are so pleased that we chose Montrose. Mum received the best possible care there and we have nothing but praise for the staff.
Thank you so much for your kind words and your review. The team will be delighted to hear that their dedication has meant so much to you as a family and your mother.
