My father came to Solent Grange for the last weeks of his life. All staff members carried out their roles with professionalism and humanity. Nurses were happy to explain what steps were being taken with his medical needs. His room was kept clean and tidy and the whole building felt spacious, light and
airy. Even in such a short time, we felt that staff had got to know him and they showed him genuine respect and care.

The staff go above and beyond their duty of care to help, support and care for the residents. They treat each person as an individual to give the best treatment and work hard to maintain their dignity and self-respect.
Solent Grange is by far the best nursing home I have seen.

Apart from the car park, which is dreadful (I'm going to have my car deep cleaned), we are very happy with the home. The staff were all lovely. It was extremely clean and he had a pleasant room. Our only concern was the lack of interaction with other residents who seemed unresponsive.

I find all the staff at Solent Grange are happy, cheerful and always make you feel very welcome when visiting.


The way the staff deal with my mother's dementia is brilliant. It keeps her relaxed and most of the time, happy.

My mother is extremely well cared for at Solent Grange. Since arriving here her general appearance and happiness has improved. She smiles more now that she has for years. The staff are caring and take care of her in a professional and dignified way. I am very happy with Solent Grange Care Home.

Dad has been at Solent Grange for only 1 week. He is settling in well. Always welcomed by staff with a smile. The staff stop by his room and have a chat. A number of staff have recognised family members in a photograph. Dad is being treated with kindness and respect. A happy Dad means a happy family.

I moved into Solent Grange in August 2017 due to my failing health. The staff are lovely and look after me very well. My room is big and bright and I feel safe here. I would recommend this home very much.

My family and I are all extremely happy with the care and attention that is given to our relative. Everyone is so kind and thoughtful, nothing is too much trouble, we can't fault it, any request is given as much as possible. We thank you all very much.
The only slight grumble is the hairdresser could
perhaps give a little thought into the gents hair, maybe as individuals, not just shaved off, just a small comment.

My wife went to Solent Grange on January 11, 2016, and continues to be there.
Throughout her time there she has received wonderful treatment by caring staff.
Her disabilities which include type 1 diabetes are very challenging for the staff in meeting her nursing needs.
Their attention to detail gives
me great confidence in her welfare.
Management and staff are always available to discuss any concerns I may have and I have access to her care plans.
Activities include trips out in a special bus to visit places of interest which is very stimulating.
Meals are varied and there is help on hand for eating.
I usually visit twice a day and am always greeted and made welcome.
We were very fortunate in getting a place at this home.

My friend has been in Solent Grange Isle of Wight, since August 2017. I visit her at least twice a week and I have always found all the staff to be extremely cheerful, friendly and very helpful. My friend is very happy in this home. In the mornings she can look out of her window and see rabbits, squirrels
and different birds. I would recommend this home to any family who has to make the decision to place a relative into a care home. The rooms are light and airy. Cleanliness is of a high standard, and the food looks nice and is well presented.

I consider this home to be excellent in every way. The care and compassion shown to residents is exceptional and there is an overall happy atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble and all are made to feel part of one big happy family. Even if staff numbers are stretched at any time, every effort is made
to see that all the residents are kept happy and safe. Food quality appears excellent, with a varied menu. The home is maintained beautifully and safety procedures are strictly adhered to. Visiting relatives are made to feel most welcome at all times and an overall sense of family pervades the home. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to friends and family as a safe, caring and compassionate environment for a vulnerable loved one.

My mum has been in Solent Grange for over 3 years. When she was admitted here we had been told by a doctor at the hospital that her life expectancy was only 3-4months. Obviously the good care she gets has kept 'her going' for a lot longer.
She celebrates her 100th birthday in August.

My brother has been a resident at Solent Grange for approximately seven years. I consider the home to be at a very high standard and in my opinion meeting all of my brother's care needs.
The staff, in particular, are very respectful and caring to all I have seen. They put a lot of effort in making
the home a good environment to live in and the meals provided look first class.
I am always kept informed of any changes to my brother's health, also of any reviews that are due to take place.

Everything is to a very high standard, the staff are always very helpful even in very trying situations. Communications between staff and visitors are cordial though at times the staff can be very busy. Rooms tend to be fairly large and airy, cleaning is an ongoing activity day and night. Various activities
are available to residents if they're able enough and also days out during the summer months. The establishment is very well run and organised, any problems and enquiries are dealt with very quickly. It is a pleasant and secure environment and people feel at home there.

Since finding the home three weeks ago my sister has improved immensely, her appetite is so much better and her mobility is so good to see. The staff are unbelievably absolutely marvellous, cleanliness spot on. A wonderful home.

I have a passion for providing quality care and encourage feedback from our clients, their loved ones and our staff to ensure we are constantly striving to be the best we can, by understanding the needs and wishes of everyone we encounter.


Other than the beautiful location, what drew me to the home was the welcoming and happy atmosphere. Our team of dedicated staff go above and beyond to promote a person centred service and seek opportunities to incorporate innovative ideas for the benefit of those we care for. I am proud of the busy activities programme we offer and love to see the positive effects this has on our clients and staff.

I joined the Solent Grange Team in June 2023. Before this, I spent over 30 years in the Travel Industry, holding various roles in customer service management and administration. Seeking a new challenge, I gladly embraced the opportunity to work within the care sector.


I love helping and connecting with new people, making the current department a perfect fit for showcasing my excellent customer service skills. Each day brings new learning opportunities, and I thoroughly enjoy gaining knowledge and undergoing training.


Working at the reception keeps me actively engaged; I get to interact with a diverse range of visitors daily. Meeting the families and friends of the residents is a privilege, and I take great pleasure in building strong connections with them. Job Title: Kitchen Manager

I joined the Solent Grange team in 2015 as an Assistant Cook. I have always worked in hospitality and have a passion for creating traditional home-cooked food. During my time as an Assistant Cook, my passion grew for preparing individual meals for our residents.


In January 2022 the opportunity arose, and I became Kitchen Manager. My role involves creating nutritionally balanced menus and maintaining a five-star safe environment for food to be prepared and eaten.
I pride myself in creating a welcoming dining space where our residents can come and enjoy their food and have a social dining room experience.


The kitchen team and I are delighted to engage with the care team and other departments when there are different events held and feel it’s my time to shine.
Outside of my work life, I’m a devoted mum and nanny. I enjoy spending time outdoors and taking my dog on long walks. I’m also a keen traveller.

I joined Solent Grange Nursing Home in February 2022. I have worked in care for 10 years now. After the lockdown, it was a real eye-opener for me being able to spend lots of extra time with residents and really getting to know them. When the opportunity came along at Solent Grange to be part of the activities team, I was so pleased to take the job! Now all of my focus can be on the residents and on making their days amazing, putting a smile on their faces and getting to hear all their different life stories. I love making their days as jammed-packed as possible and organizing outings so they can get out and about. I thrive off trying to make a difference for the residents and being supportive.

I joined the Solent Grange team as Maintenance Manager in September 2022. Prior to this, I worked in Maintenance within Manufacturing and Office environments for 12 years. It is a huge change of scenery but incredibly rewarding knowing everything I do helps towards keeping the residents safe and happy. Little things such as hanging their favourite picture on the wall give them a familiar and personal touch to their room, making them feel more at home.


Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two children as well as going on walks with our family dog.
