My Dad has been a resident here since May 2018. Since day one he has been made to feel totally at home. The staff are very caring and Dad has built up some good relationships with most of the staff. If we have had any issues with any aspect of his care, they have been dealt with very quickly, usually by the deputy manager.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. The team are very caring and this helps residents to really feel at home.
Friendly staff. Well kept building and gardens. My friend is very settled now and her needs are well catered for.
Friendly staff, great activities. The activities co-ordinator is an asset to the team.
The home is always clean and tidy, checked mother's room and found it is very clean. The home has always had a friendly and caring atmosphere, have not had any cause to raise any issues.
Thank you so much for your kind feedback, We will be sure to share this with the team.
The activities are stimulating and provide involvement and coming from living alone I believe this really helped my mother to recover. It is good to know that Mum is safe at Birkin Lodge. It gives our family peace of mind. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and I will be sure to share your kind words with the team. It is a pleasure caring for your mother. We look forward to seeing you and your sister soon.
With daily entertainment/activities, you can join in as much as you want to or are able to. As a once a week visitor, I always feel the staff are trying to make it a home from home for each resident. I enjoy coming to see my friend and I don't feel I am in the way (as I have felt in other care homes). Keep up the good work.
When I visit, I'm made to feel welcome and am always offered a cup of coffee. I don't think I would get better treatment anywhere.
The staff have been fantastic, they are always so kind and happy. Nothing seems to be too much trouble and they spend time to reassure him when he is confused. They always make us feel very welcome.
Birkin Lodge seems to be a very good care home for my Mother. All her needs are taken care of. They provide everything and I feel reassured that my Mother is kept safe and well. The staff are more than helpful and my Mother seems very happy.
Care always excellent but after my Uncle was discharged from hospital Birkin Lodge's care was exemplary.
The staff have always been happy and friendly to me on my visits to Bikin Lodge.
On most visits, I have been offered a cup of tea, along with the resident.
The staff are very helpful and always polite, they know my mothers needs etc.
The home is clean and tidy and the food is good.
Could not fault. Staff very caring.
My mother-in-law was admitted for respite care however within 3 days she had decided to stay long-term. The team were absolutely superb - even my mother-in-law had been adamant at one stage that residential care was not for her, it was a complete turnaround! Within days her mood lifted and we saw a lady we hadn't seen in a few years - happy, relaxed - such a relief for her and us. We highly recommend.
Plenty of stimulation and entertainment for the residents to participate in to the best of individual needs.
Good quality of caring staff, friendly and helpful. Cleanliness good and food first class.
All of us say we don't want to go into residential care but for some of us, it becomes the only solution. When this is the case, the person will either thrive or decline and much of this is determined by the attention and care they receive, particularly the time and attention. My father has thrived at Birkin Lodge as they have valued his personality and given excellent care.
The facility is clean and beautifully decorated. It is warm and welcoming to visitors. The staff are caring. I would recommend it to anyone anxiously looking for a caring facility for their loved ones.
Although my father is hard to please he is complimentary about the staff and the care he receives. We have noticed that with the help of the superb entertainments team he is more outgoing and is gradually participating in some of the daily activities. His health has stabilised and the pressures on myself and my wife are greatly reduced. Many thanks to a well run and caring team.
Thank you for your lovely feedback Graham, I will be sure to share this with Sean and the team. It's great to see how your father has settled over the past few months and it's wonderful to have him with us.
The staff are very friendly.
My Dad only went for a weekend but said he would go again.
Thank you for your review, it was a pleasure having your father stay with us and we look forward to his next stay.
The staff members are always helpful and polite.
There has been improvement and consistency in the home over the past months since the manager's position has been taken over within the home.
Thank you for your lovely comments, which we will feedback to our team. We are constantly striving to improve our services for our residents and their families and it is wonderful to hear your comments.
