Creedy House is an impressive Victorian building which has been sympathetically converted into an attractive and spacious nursing/ dementia care home.
The house has been attractively decorated and boasts elegant interiors and beautiful, accessible gardens. The dementia unit- called The Lodge, has been renovated in colours and themes to reflect the needs of those living with dementia. It has long open corridors so lots of space for those who wish to wander. The Lodge is ground level and looks over the south facing garden. The corridor has different themed sections that encourages conversations and reminiscence.
The home can accommodate up to 44 people who have nursing and dementia care needs. There are two rooms that accommodate a couple/ people wanting to share.
Staff provide a person-centred approach to care helping people to maintain their independence and promoting choice. Professionals want everything they do in the home to be driven by the needs, abilities, and aspirations of their residents.
Creedy House offers home-cooked food, a library, raised garden beds for green-fingered residents, music conservatory, sun lounge, quiet room and a full and diverse programme of activities. The home has a hair salon and chiropodist who visit routinely and as needed.
There is a real family feel within the Home.
Staff encourage families and friends to be an active part of the community and value the role which relatives and friends play in the care of residents and provide support for them whenever it's needed.

Daphne has settled in very well and has very much enjoyed the group activities especially the arts & crafts. I think the staff do an excellent job in sometimes difficult circumstances and situations. Keep up the good work!

The first thing I noticed was how clean the home is. From the manager and all the staff how friendly. The standard of care which my friend is receiving is first class. I can't thank you enough.

Thank you so much! Glad he is settled and well. I will pass your kind words on to the staff.
In 2 weeks since admission I have found the staff to be very professional, treating the residents with respect. My friend is always clean and well dressed and time is taken to ensure she is able to eat her meals with help. The activities are varied and the environment is clean and well maintained.

I can't thank the management and staff at Creedy House enough for their love, care and support you've given my dad, my partner and myself and most importantly my mum since residing at the home since March 2025. Everyone goes above and beyond their duties. Creedy House is a family.

When my partners mother entered Creedy House in March I was very sceptical RE care homes, but I find it a lovely experience visiting on a regular basis. Everybody from senior management down to carers, cooks, cleaners etc are so well trained, compassionate and look after their service users in an impeccable way. Also the input into activities for the clients is second to none. Well done to all at Creedy House.

My dad was in Creedy House for about 7 weeks before he passed. The manageress, Nesta, and all her staff supported dad with dignity, respect and empathy for the entire time he was there, the care was excellent. There was plenty of social stimulation for him in the lounge when he was able to be with others, and the music and singing were especially appreciated as dad loved music and dancing. The staff did their utmost to support dad with his eating and general care, and provided excellent empathic nursing care throughout. Nesta is lovely, and was a huge support for me while dad was at the Creedy, and along with all her staff made me, my mum and family feel supported and welcome whenever we visited dad. A lovely care home and highly recommended!
Thank you kindly for the review. It was an absolute pleasure to care for your father and support you and your mum at what I know was a very difficult time. I will pass your gratitude on to the staff.

My dad moved from another care home into Creedy House. I had been unhappy with the previous home from lack of care and stimulation and activities. Also lack of full knowledge of Type 1 diabetes and the provision needed to care for my dad with diabetes and other age related illnesses. On arriving at Creedy House my family and dad were made very welcome and reassured of care and understanding of his needs. I was finally content to elae my dad in a professional setting and care of others. My dad passed 3 weeks after arriving and was happy he had moved and given the respect and care at the end of his life.

Our family have been delighted with the care my mother in law has received. We have been so very impressed by the expertise of the staff. We can totally relax now, which we couldn't do previously. It is a great relief for me to see her stress level reduce and no longer looking traumatised and shell-shocked. At each visit, we see the same staff and they know my mother in law so well. Thank you all for caring for my mother in law so well.
Our staff pride themselves on getting to know the residents and families. Its great to know we are enhancing a residents life. Thank you.

My mum has been at Creedy Care Home now for 12 years and she has received the best care that anyone could ask for their loved ones my mum has been none verbal now for a few years but all the staff that care for her understand when she is not her normal self or when she has been ill and in some cases very poorly but because of the care she receives that is why she is still with us thankfully and all the staff are brilliant and friendly and easy to approach if I have any questions to ask and they always keep me informed of any changes to my mum which helps me understand her illness better i honestly believe the care that she receives is the reason she is still with us
