I am a Registered Nurse with over 15 years of experience in the healthcare sector, and I currently serve as the General Manager at Emily Jackson House Care Home. My journey in healthcare has been shaped by a deep commitment to improving the lives of others, and I’ve had the privilege of working in a wide range of roles that have enriched both my clinical expertise and leadership skills.
Over the years, I’ve held positions including Lead Nurse, Deputy General Manager, Clinical Manager, Regional Support (Peri Deputy Manager), and Clinical Development Nurse. Each role has given me a broader perspective on care delivery, team development, and the importance of creating a supportive environment for both residents and staff. These experiences have helped me grow into a leader who values collaboration, compassion, and continuous improvement. At Emily Jackson House, my focus is on creating a home where residents feel truly safe, respected, and cared for. I believe that high-quality care is not just about clinical excellence—it’s about making people feel seen, heard, and valued. Whether it’s a warm greeting in the morning or ensuring every detail of their care plan is tailored to their needs, I’m passionate about making a meaningful difference in their daily lives.
Being part of Barchester Healthcare is a true honour. The organisation’s values—integrity, responsibility, passion, and empowerment—mirror my own. I’m proud to work alongside a team that shares a common goal: to deliver outstanding care and exceptional service to every resident, every day. We support one another, celebrate each other’s strengths, and continuously strive to raise the bar in everything we do.
I believe that a great care home is built on trust, teamwork, and heart. It’s a place where staff feel empowered, families feel reassured, and residents feel at home. I’m thrilled to be part of this journey and look forward to continuing to lead with purpose, compassion, and dedication. Together, we can make a lasting impact—one resident, one moment, one smile at a time.
I have been a registered nurse since 2010, beginning my career in the Philippines. After relocating to the Middle East, I worked as a nurse trainer, delivering Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) training to healthcare professionals, while also managing emergency situations. In addition, I have supported the wider community by teaching Healthcare Assistant (HCA) courses, helping to equip carers with the skills and knowledge needed to provide quality support to older adults.
I transferred to the UK to pursue an opportunity at EJH, where I began working as a Registered Nurse. After three years in the role, I was internally promoted to Deputy Manager. I am deeply committed to making a meaningful difference in every resident’s life, ensuring they receive the high-quality, compassionate care they deserve and are able to live comfortably, safely, and with dignity.
Being part of Barchester Healthcare is a real privilege. The organisation’s core values closely align with my own principles. I’m proud to work alongside a dedicated team united by a shared purpose: delivering outstanding care and exceptional service to every resident, every single day. We uplift one another, recognise each other’s strengths, and continually challenge ourselves to achieve the highest standards.
I truly believe that a whole-home approach is the heart of exceptional care — one built on trust, collaboration, and deep compassion. It’s about creating a place where our colleagues feel valued and supported, families feel confident and at ease, and our residents feel genuinely at home. I’m elated and grateful to continue this journey, leading with purpose, empathy, and unwavering commitment.
