My father has been a resident of Bradbury House for around four weeks but I have had plenty of communication with the staff and the atmosphere of the home seems pleasant. The staff are friendly and are happy to give advice on dealing with my father's dementia.

Bradbury House is clean and run by friendly staff. The downsides are waiting for staff to attend when buzzed. An hour or more is not uncommon especially in the early morning hours. My wife is bedbound and unable to help herself and, despite promises, no one has yet sat her in the comfy chair in her
room. Several times I have been "trapped" in the foyer in trying to exit the building because the reception was unstaffed. Even trying to go from upstairs to downstairs or vice versa is difficult when needing passing staff to assist. Overall not a bad place but the edges need a polish.

My husband is in respite care for 20 weeks. The only reason for only giving "good" for Care/Support is that I was promised a Care Plan but to date, have not received it. I would then be able to check if what I had asked of the staff was on the Plan. My husband needs walking exercise morning and afternoon,
just 10-15 mins (which if done regularly, would not take so long) So far he has been in the Home since 20th August and still cannot walk at all well still using his frame, whereas he was walking reasonably well when he entered the Home. Only lately, after much persuading, has he begun to have this walking exercise.
I had an upsetting experience when a carer refused to take my husband to the toilet because he had asked during the dining time. She told me that carers were not allowed to take residents to the toilet during this time. He waited over 2 hours before a carer finally came, missing his lunch because he needed the toilet badlty. I had to report this incident.

My Dad has been with you just over 5wks . Have been happy with how he has been looked after .Lovely room ,cosy and comfortable. Most of the staff are friendly and welcoming when I visit .Dad appears to be well cared for .Always clean clothes .He seems to enjoy the food and from what I have seen the
food looks good quality .There has been one occasion when I was a bit concerned as there wasn't a carer to be seen in the dining room and several residents wanted to be taken to the bathroom .As soon as a carer appeared it was dealt with but just felt their should be always be somebody around .All in all happy with Bradbury House. My father is 99 and had to move from his earlier care home since his dementure was gradually worsening. Their approach has been kind, understanding and totally professional from the initial enquiry to admission He has been a resident for over 5 weeks now and has settled in quite well. His dementure
does not seem as advanced as most other residents which Dad has noticed, However he does understand why he needs to be there. He says himself that he is well looked after. He has enjoyed the entertainment when it has been provided - in particular the singer and the harpist. If anything he would like more entertainment! Organising his move was very stressful but we are more relaxed now that he seems to have settled in reasonably well.

Since arriving at Bradbury House the improvement in my mother's mental and physical well being has been amazing. The nursing she receives, the caring staff, the interactions and activities each week have all contributed to this.
When I visit I can spend quality time with her knowing that she is safe
and well looked after. You cannot put a price on that.

After an initial good start in the home, they were not so good at being able to assist when my father developed advanced dementia, considering they advertise as a dementia care/nursing home. Sadly my father was asked to leave due to his behaviour, had the upheaval of having to be moved. He did however,
enjoy go on to enjoy his last few months at another nursing home where the staff were amazing. They were also late sending invoices with some not being received until he left in November for care received in August & September despite my request for them.

Over al Bradbury House Nursing Home provides a safe, comfortable environment for my father. The medical staff are excellent in both keeping on top of his various medical conditions and treatments and in supporting the families member about his health conditions. The care staff all seem to be very

Mum was referred into Bradbury House by social services for a care package review. We are happy with the care they offered and hope she will be able to stay. As yet mum hasn't joined in much with activities but hopefully over time she will.

My Mother-in-Law arrived at Bradbury House after a short spell in hospital. Unfortunately she was unable to return home and we had to look for a nursing home. After visiting many homes in and around the area we were lucky to visit Bradbury House and there were vacancies. The team at Bradbury House
are professional and caring and go over and above board to ensure residents are well cared for. My Mother-in-Laws birthday was celebrated at Bradbury House with singing and birthday cake which made her day. All food is cooked on site and not bought in. I could go on but a short review is always best as its read. I recommend Bradbury House.

I have found that Bradbury House is a very well-equipped, clean, safe and fully supportive nursing home and has looked after my very elderly father suffering from advanced dementia very well and has adapted to his changing needs.
There are staff available to talk to and to assist with any requests
made.
I would not hesitate to recommend Bradbury House to anyone needing such a facility.

Carers are extremely kind, compassionate and sympathetic to our mum's needs. Nothing is too much trouble and although my mum is not eating, the food is very good. I have heard residents ask for alternatives and these have always been provided if available.

The home offers a safe and comfortable environment for my sister. I have found the staff caring and attentive to her needs. They put significant effort into recognising an individual's needs whilst encouraging them to do what they can for themselves. The staff are very proactive in encouraging my sister
to participate in the regular afternoon activities which she mostly enjoys. They understand the challenging needs that dementia can present to a resident and provide care with compassion.
The home has always been clean and tidy when I have visited. I feel it offers a very good care model for residents with dementia. I think the home is well-organised and managed with committed members of staff.

At first we were pleasantly surprised with the care my husband was receiving. However, there were a few occasions when I had to ask about personal care especially teeth cleaning was lacking. Unfortunately, my husband was taken into the hospital and was there for 5 weeks. During this time I had no contact
from the home enquiring how he was. Then unexpectedly on 30/3/24 my husband passed away. Still no contact expressing condolences. His funeral was held 18/4/24 and 2 night carers attended who I had never met the whole time he was there. (I’m grateful for their attendance but the only reason they knew when the funeral was is because my sister phoned them to inform them) but still no communication from the management, not even a card or phone call. They all knew my husband very well and apparently liked him very much but he had very complex health issues. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of compassion and communication while my husband was in the hospital and when he passed away.

We moved my mum to this home last month as we had concerns with the previous care home.
We found this home and went to visit and immediately knew this home is where I wanted Mum to be.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, the home was modern, clean and just felt right.
There a many lovely
touches for the residents, each room has its own front door with a knocker on the outside and the communal rooms are great spaces to be.
The end-of-life care was also excellent, the staff were warm and caring to the resident and family.
My only regret is we didn’t find this home earlier as it is truly outstanding.

My mother moved into Bradbury House in August. It was a pretty traumatic move for her due to her dementia, but the staff understood this and made her feel welcome; they are very understanding. It is taking a bit of time for her to settle, but she is getting there with the help of the staff. The care
home is very nice, light and airy, with various sitting areas for the residents, outside space for them to enjoy, with a small woodland walk, two courtyards, and a very nice, friendly feel to it. Highly recommend this care home.

My mum has recently been unwell and now requires full-time nursing care. She has been at Bradbury House for almost 3 weeks and seems to have settled really well and wants to stay. We cannot fault the kindness and care of all the staff here, they are friendly and helpful, with lots of things provided
to do. Mum still likes to go out and Bradbury provides a safe environment for her to live the best life she can. Thank you to everyone for making her transition into a nursing home so nice and easy and everyone being so kind to us, I really hope she will be able to stay as I feel she is safe and well cared for.

You need to be certain that your relative has the very best of care. At Bradbury House every single member of staff, without exception, have nothing but the resident's best interests at heart, not just in their role of ‘caring’ but also in the way they engage with them. They are always happy, they will
always listen and they will always spend as much time as the resident wants to ensure that they have no causes to worry or be distressed. The facilities are excellent and the activities varied. The overall environment is one of positiveness and happiness. Any concerns or feelings of guilt were quickly extinguished by their attitude to the residents. The question I asked myself constantly is “Is it in my relatives best interest?” In the case of Bradbury House, undoubtedly it is.
