This is a wonderful care home. My Mum Irene stayed here in 2025 and was so well cared for. My Dad Norman is here now and is so happy, as are we. We know he is treated with dignity and respect. As a whole the home is friendly, clean and has a super atmosphere I would highly recomend Hazelwood as you can go home with the peace of mind that your loved one will be safe and happy Thank you to all staff.

My mum came to Hazelwood out of necessity (illness and loss of mobility) rather than choice. A tough experience for her. However, the staff, facilities and care she has received have been excellent. Her overall health and her outlook have improved immeasurably. Thank you.

Staff at Hazelwood are very kind, caring and highly professional in all they do. Mum is listened to and treated with love and respect. She is having a great time in her new home. Activities are engaging and varied, from celebrations for Chinese New Year, National Gardening Day, Circus Day and The Grand Natonal, to weekly, art, music and exercise sessions. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Hazelwood.

We found Hazelwood ideal for my father. The care of the staff was excemplary, and their understanding of his dementia and dietary limitations was more than welcome. After an uneven stream of carers at the home, which left him confused and depressed, to see him enjoying the activities at Hazelwood was most heatening. The nursing staff were also very caring, and always kept us up to date with his health.

Everyone was most thoughtful and friendly towards dad and the family and it was a pleasure to visit him.

Mum, having dementia, was unable to care for herself and wanted to go into care. We chose Hazelwood over other local carehomes and were not disappointed. Mum settled quickly, everyone made her feel so welcome and comfortable, she had people to talk with and lots of activities to keep her amused. The care and service at Hazelwood is a credit to all the staff. We could not fault the level of care provided.

Lovely, helpful staff welcomed my mother into the nursing/dementia wing. She was encouraged to join in with residents and stimulating activities. Sadly, she was not at Hazelwood long, as she was very frail at 91, but I would not hesitate to recommend Hazelwood to others. It is much better than other homes I visited before choosing this one.

My Mother moved into Hazelwood Care Home in April 2022 following the onset of dementia and was a resident until March 2025, when she sadly passed away.
I cannot speak highly enough of the care and assistance that was provided to Mum by everyone at Hazelwood during her time at the Home, and the support and consideration that was shown to us at the time of her passing, and would thoroughly recommend Hazelwood Care Home to anyone who is seeking a safe, happy and caring environment for their loved ones.

My mother came here six weeks after hip surgery and from her home of over 50 years and she was certainly worried about this upheaval. The manager and all and all of the staff have been so engaging and her room is comfortable and with pictures brought from her home. It's an environment where she is confident, comfortable and being extremely well cared for.

When my husband was first transferred to Hazelwood Care Home three years ago he was in a terrible state, but thanks to all the wonderful staff and their top level care he is now in a stable condition. We came to Hazelwood Care Home in a time of need a few days before Christmas, hoping for some respite care for our elderly father. After explaining to the manager our situation, she immediately took control and drove to my father's home to carry out an initial assessment and put everything into place for him to come into care on Christmas Eve. Wonderful people, very caring, lovely and clean, great facilities. They were our saviours, we will be forever grateful. Thank you to all.

Mum was taken into Hazelwood in June 2023, suffering with severe dementia; her condition worsened such that she sadly passed away this month. During her time at Hazelwood, the staff have been truly amazing showing her every care and attention. The family have been made to feel very welcome, and equally receive warmth on all our visits. As she started to slip away from us, the team made sure that she was comfortable and free from agitation and any pain, treating at all times with the dignity that each of us would expect. I cannot praise Hazelwood highly enough.
