Kippingtons Nursing Home in Sevenoaks provides residential, nursing and dementia care for up to 50 elderly people, including trial stays, short stays, convalescent care and long-term care for individuals or couples.

At the home, all staff are highly trained to offer the best care and support to all residents, including their own dementia training, which addresses the importance of meaningful activities and a stimulating environment and an improved dining experience for residents living with dementia and or dysphagia.

Formerly known as Kippington Grange, the house was originally built in 1874 as a grand private family home. Steeped in history and provenance, the house is reputed to have had connections with Thomas Farnaby and Jane Austen. The sensitively converted Victorian property boasts scenic surroundings and is located a short distance from the market town of Sevenoaks. Its proximity to the centre of town makes Kippingtons fully accessible to local shops and amenities. The home is set within landscaped gardens with views which extend for nearly two miles.

The staff are all amazing. They work hard and they show empathy, sympathy, love, and understanding. They treat every resident with respect, love and a great deal of understanding, and in many cases very patient with the ones that require extra care. The chefs that work in the home are always very amiable
and always prepared to go the extra mile. Could do with a bit of paint in most rooms, to brighten the place up. I found it to be ok all the time Dad was able to get down to the lounge to join in, but unfortunately, when they get to the stage where they don't leave their rooms, no activities are shared and they are left to family's to share their time, but if families don't visit it must get quite lonely. Would be nice to have a tea and coffee kitchen on each floor to enable families of residents to make coffee and tea as and when required. This would be an advantage to everyone visiting. They do require music or something in the top lounge, a bit of a wasted space, which could be used.

I was taken out for the day for a pub lunch. We went to the pub I used to drink in. We had a lovely day. I even had someone I used to know buy me a drink. The activities coordinators made this day happen and, of course, the bus driver and the care staff who helped me get ready.

On every visit to see my mum the staff are happy to help with anything requested and to discuss the care of my mum. All the staff on every visit have been extremely helpful. They remain very caring and always with a smile on their faces. It has been a very challenging year for staff, residents and family but Kippingtons have dealt with it brilliantly on all levels. Very well done team!

My Aunt has been a resident in 3 different homes since having to move into care in 2017. She continued a marked decline until relocating to Kippington since then she has stabilised and improved in both general health and in the positivity of outlook. I attribute this to the excellent care and general

Mum has been in Kippingtons for just over a year, and the care she has received has been outstanding. All the staff work extremely hard to provide the absolute best for the residents. Mum is treated with dignity at all times. We are so grateful that she is so well cared for, and we are thankful to everyone

Whilst I haven't been able to visit regularly due to Covid rules, all my dealings with the management and staff have been excellent. The manager and deputy manager have been highly responsive and attentive to my requests. The staff come across as genuinely caring. My dad is cheerful and content in his
new surroundings. I understand the need for restrictions on visiting at present, but it will make a massive difference when the riles are relaxing and weekend visits and ad-hoc visits are permitted.

When I came to Kippingtons it was for respite. Since then I have come back home. I found the surroundings very calming - woodlands in the spring with primroses. I enjoy the activities, especially exercises, just like the cheerleaders. I like quizzes and they have them frequently. All the food is good,
just like what we like at home.

My mother has been in Kippington for 18 months. From the start, the staff have been welcoming, caring and very supportive. My mother is comfortable and well looked after. I would have no hesitation in recommending this home.
