Although she'd always said she wanted to stay at home, after three falls it was clear she was no longer safe there and was cared for at AMI Court for six weeks until her death.
The staff were all so kind and caring,
I am sure she couldn't have spent the last weeks of her life in a better place.
Dear AnnaThank you for the review, We are pleased you feel mum had the best care at Ami Court.Mum was a great pleasure to look after and was a lovely lady.
A long-time family friend was transferred to the Knoll from the hospital and we were all worried about how she would settle into a care home environment, but from the moment I came to visit she could not stop talking about how wonderful everything was and that she felt that she was in a top class hotel. She was in the lounge when we came and there was different activities taking place. My friend told me how a lady had come the other afternoon and they were all singing and moving around to different songs - this made me laugh as in the past she would have laughed at people doing this but now she is really loving it. The staff offered me a drink when we came in and made sure we were all seated comfortably, checking that everything was ok when we were ready to leave. Food was just being brought in for supper and I have to say it smelt amazing. I left feeling really happy and am looking forward to our next visit to see what she has been up to.
Dear Jane, I am so pleased your friend has settled in so well at The Knoll and you feel assured your friend is very happy at The Knoll with everything.
I was greeted at the door with a smile & the lady was very polite. Offered me a dink when taking me to the lounge to visit my friend. First time visiting this home & made me relax knowing it is a nice home. Lounge had activities & friend taking part. She said I could look at room as she couldn't believe how nice it is here. Like a hotel. Dinner came so I only stayed for another 5 mins, looked lovely & smelt amazing.
My friend has been in for 6 months Lovely staff welcoming and full or life and have lots of activities with them and the facilities are clean and tidy the gardens are lovely and have plants potted buy the residents
Thank you so much for sharing your experience and we are very fortunate to have a very kind and dedicated team who take great pride in caring for your loved one ensuring that they are supported and treated with dignity and respect.
My mum has been here for a year. The staff are amazing. Kind and very caring. I'm so very grateful for the way mum is looked after. Everything is so excellent. Mum is so happy and very safe. Managers are fantastic. I can't thank them enough. Mum loves all the activities. Food is amazing. So very well looked after.
Thank you so much for your review - we are so pleased to have your lovely Mum here with us.
My mother-in-law needs full time care and Ami Court have and are providing excellent care of her. Its a big weight off my wife's shoulders knowing that she is well looked after and safe.
Thank you for you very much for your kind words. We are very proud of our beautiful care home and our wonderful team of staff.
I have seen things improve over the last 4 years that I have been visiting. The food has improved and there is more variety and also there is much more activities.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are all really proud of the homely atmosphere at The Knoll. It was good to see you enjoying the fabulous meal in our dining room.
Mum has had several spells in hospital towards the end of 2024 and early 2025. It was clear she could not care for herself anymore. When Ami Court was offered I was nervous but from the moment I arrived before Mum was transported from hospital, I was made to feel welcome & I burst into tears. The staff care for Mum so well she is showered & dressed and looked after so well. I hope she will be with Ami Court until her death.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience and we are very fortunate to have a very kind and dedicated team who take great pride in caring for your loved one ensuring that they are supported and treated with dignity and respect. We welcome and encourage families and friends to be a part of our Ami Court family and to play an active part in their loved ones care.
My Mum was a resident here from August 2020 to February 2025, she was one of the unlucky ones who caught covid in the early months whilst in hospital after a fall, she was never the same again. When she first arrived at the home she was in a terrible state and really thought she wasn't going to be with us very long. Ami Court worked their magic with so much care and attention and with the doctors help got Mum on better medication and within months she started to look so much better, yes she had her ups and downs and their was a couple of times we thought we may lose her but the devotion and friendly engagement of the staff always seemed to pull her through. I cannot fault how well Mum was cared for and she passed away in her room in February 2025, not in hospital which we as a family didn't want her to go though. Ami Court and The Knoll are very family friendly and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
Thank you for your very kind words, I will pass on your compliments to all the staff.Mum became a part our one big family and she is being missed here, we miss you too. Best Wishes
I am very pleased with the care given from all the staff. The food is excellent. I do think the en-suite shower room needs decorating as a lot of the paint is coming off. There is no unit next to the bed to put anything on.
Thank you for your very kind words, I will pass on your compliments to all the care and kitchen staff. We have rearranged mum's bedroom, as the nurses are still assessing mum's mobility as mum is still in an assessment bed, based on the risk assessment, we did not want any access furniture in...
It's as if nothing is too much trouble when I request anything.
My mother is very happy there.
For myself, I am immensely grateful for the care my wife receives. She is safe, and she has an improved quality of life. I am full of admiration for the skill, dedication, patience and kindness of all the staff. I think the care home is managed very well. Thank you.
My friend initially joined another facility in March 2023. Unfortunately due to a fall he was transferred to The Knoll, AMI nursing home. In both care homes he was given the utmost car and attention, physically emotionally and all his lovely meals. The staff were delightful and nothing seemed too much trouble. It was definitely the nearest to being a home from home and I never had any concerns that everything wasn't as it should be. Thankyou to everyone concerned.
It's a very worrying moment when your loved one goes into care. You fear for how well they will be looked after and whether they will be given the dignity you'd hope for them. My father has now spent a week in AMI Court and I am absolutely delighted to be able to praise the care team to the highest. They are truly a remarkable group of professionals. The care and compassion they show to the residents is extraordinary. They are energised and motivated and this rubs off on the residents. My father has dementia and I have seen a marked improvement in his cognitive function over the last week. I put this down to the engagement he receives from the staff and fellow residence. A huge thank you to the entire team at AMI Court. You are all magnificent!
After Mum being admitted to Ami Group in the summer she has gone from being near to end-of-life to a happy, content person who is enjoying being where she is. The staff are extremely caring and loving, more like family and the social activities are full on, fun and very interactive with all the resident's abilities taken into account. The manageress fought very hard to keep Mum where she is settled and thriving and the whole team have contributed to us as a family, knowing Mum is safe, secure and well looked after. Couldn't recommend Ami Group highly enough.
I can't express how amazing the staff as a whole team, have cared for and looked after my dad over the last few months of his life. The staff have also been a great comfort to our family, over this time, which we really appreciate. I was very nervous about Dad going into a home but realised very quickly that he was safe and so well cared for in The Knoll I didn't need to worry. Heartfelt thanks to every member of staff.
After a long spell in hospital, our father was transferred to Ami Court Nursing Home on Saturday 10th December. We, as a family, cannot thank the manager and her team enough for the care, compassion and kindness shown not only to Dad, but us all, during a very difficult time. Sadly, his stay was short, but we shall always be so grateful that he spent his remaining days in your care. You are all amazing.
Thank you so much for your very kind words. As a home, we are very grateful to you for taking the time to write such a lovely review.
Staff at all levels were friendly and helpful. Daily activities organised. Clients treated sympathetically and with dignity from what I saw personally. Varied food menu with choices. I feel my mother was safe and well cared for.
This is my first experience of a care home and have heard a lot of negativity surrounding them. I ring Ami Court daily and the phone is always answered promptly and I am given a current update on my father, all staff have been very friendly and informative. I always feel assured he is being looked after and comfortable. On visiting, my father is always clean, well moisturised, and dressed well. He has dementia but I can tell he is happy and comfortable here. We feel lucky to have found Ami Court.
Mum was discharged from hospital, frail and weak and requiring oxygen on a daily basis. The Ami Group team gave Mum one-to-one nursing, returning Mum to being able to live without oxygen and leave her room for meals, events and visitors. This significantly increased Mum's quality of life. The Ami Group team were excellent in keeping us informed of Mum's progress and also very effective and efficient at bringing in supporting health professionals as required.
