My mother was admitted to be cared for the 'end of life' care and died yesterday. She was lovingly cared for in all respects and staff treated her with respect and gave her the dignity she deserved.

Mum was not at Ami Court for very long as did not go till 22nd December, but during this time she received the best care, as a daughter, I would wish. She was treasured by all and nursed at the end with utmost dignity and compassion and I was also kept informed at all times of day and night.

My 90-year-old mother has been at The Knoll for five years now, and we cannot thank the staff enough, for the care they take of her. She is treated with respect and kindness, and despite her diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease, considerable efforts are made to engage her inappropriate activities.
The
food is always appetizing, with choices available and care is taken in tempting her to eat as wide a variety of foods as possible.
We are always made to feel very welcome and kept informed as to her health and general well-being. Both the management and nursing teams are led by highly dedicated and experienced staff whose professionalism is reassuring. We have every confidence that The Knoll addresses the needs of my mother to the highest standards they can and we are grateful to them.

My grandmother who has Alzheimer's disease has lived at The Knoll Nursing Home for five years. During this time we have found the team at The Knoll to be kind and caring. They are very responsive and are excellent at keeping us updated both in person and over the telephone. They always make my family
feel very welcome when we are visiting. The leadership is excellent. I would like to thank the whole team for all that they do.

My mum has been a resident of Ami Court since September 2018 she receives excellent care from the lovely staff.
My dad was in Ami Court for six weeks this year until he died, he was given excellent care from the lovely staff.
The staff treat the residents as family.
The manager and staff have all
been so caring and supportive to me as well. It has been a very difficult time having both my parents ill and needing 24-hour care. The manager and staff understand what I am going through and I know that my dad was well cared for until he died.
My mum needs constant care and the staff are there to see to her every need, they are so patient, professional, kind and hardworking.
Thank you to the manager and staff at Ami Court.

My uncle would like his own room. We have both asked about this and not really received proper or any explanations.
He would like his own privacy, plus it can be noisy for him and this disturbs him.
He also doesn't see/understand why he has to pay for someone to go to hospital appointments. Otherwise,
he is satisfied.

On the 1st of October, this gentleman was moved to a single room which became available, he is very happy and settled in his new room surrounded by his personal belongings. All patients have the right to have their family or friends to support them during hospital appointments.

I have found Ami Court well managed with consistent and caring staff, who build relationships with their families. It is really homely and friendly, alongside being safe and secure. It is a very clean and bright environment. In the communal space my dad is encouraged to eat with the others, he feels
safe and chatts about the music and activities. The management and staff know my dad well and about his health needs, he has been stabilised, settled, mentally and physically. I feel huge relief and am so happy he is here, not only have they support my dad, but also me.

The staff and management have been very patient and tolerant with my mother.
She has not been the easiest of people and has been difficult to please on many occasions.

My aunt was sent to Ami Court by the hospital. She had been given 48 hours to live. The care she received was amazing and she started to thrive, the care that she received here has extended her life. She is so well looked after and I have experience of other homes in Kent and this is so far the best.
My Aunt is happy and the staff always have time for us as well as my aunt. I would recommend the home to anyone.

When my husband moved into Ami Court he was recovering from a chest infection and was very frail. I never thought he would get out of bed. The staff have looked after him so well he has put flesh on his bones. He is communicating. He now sits in the lounge and enjoys his days and he now smiles.

My mother has been a resident in Ami Court for about nine years and has always received a high level of care. Her room is of a good size with an en-suite toilet/wet-room shower. My mother elects to stay in her room and doesn't use the communal facilities, the staff are caring and attentive and regularly
check to see if she needs anything. All in al,l the home is a safe and caring environment.

My mother was at Ami Court for three months for an assessment and was diligently healed of the rash of bedsores she had picked up at the Hospital.


This home has a large lounge, serving as a dining/games room. The food was generally very good but much of it was wasted, as one finds in hospitals and

hotels. Patients can lack appetite. My mother, however, had no problem eating it!


The games lady was there five afternoons a week, offering arts and crafts, bingo, etc. There was also a big TV screen.


Staff were usually very friendly and helpful with a sense of humour, though some people stretched their patience. My arthritic mother was one, requiring a hoist to lift her out of her armchair and into a wheelchair. Sometimes she was kept waiting for the loo, but that was often due to demand from a mix of physically and mentally handicapped. Her bedroom was clean and airy.


I recommend Ami Court and wish I could transplant it nearer her own home!

My mum spent her last few weeks at Ami Court and we are so pleased as a family with the care she received and also the support given to my dad.
The staff went over and above in caring for mum - making her a birthday cake and ensuring dad was kept abreast of things when she deteriorated.

Amazing staff. Everyone is very helpful and caring. Management is very approachable and willing to help.


I have never seen my father looking as well as he did while at Ami Court.

I visited a friend of mine in Ami Court yesterday and he was in bed and needed the loo, he is recovering from a hip operation and needs assistance to move around, he also has dementia. I went and asked someone to assist him as the call bell in his room was not in use as the patient cord had been removed!!
He waited for the best part of at least 12 minutes. I had to go down twice. A young foreign guy possibly Romanian came into the room got him on to the walky thing (with my help I had to show my friend where to place his hands so to steady himself) they use and wheeled him to the loo put him on it and left him there with the door open (he was looking at me). He then cleaned him up with some hand towels and brought him back to the bed. At no point did he sanitise or wash his hands or put gloves on and I was still in the room throughout and at no point was I asked to wait outside. When my friend was in need the staff were serving the residents afternoon meals. Need I say more!

Unfortunately, I could never recommend this care home. I would advise avoiding at all costs. Staff friendly but not trained to care for patients. Just spent 4 days in this place now under investigation. Had to stay 24/7 with my elderly mum to ensure her safety and well being. Paramedics visited and
also doctors who would make no comment but were not impressed with what they found and had to advise staff what my mum required she had developed a chest infection. Cleanliness is almost non-existent. Mum left without buzzer several times and unable to get out of bed. Food was missed several times. Thankfully she is out of there now and back in the hospital. Bedpans emptied in patients bathroom and rinsed in hand basin 4 days and not sterilized. Up to 35 minutes to answer a buzzer. Room 12 disgusting, a patient had passed away, not cleaned before my mum transferred to an air bed, waited 4 days for this. Paramedics insisted she is on an airbed. Used paramedic equipment still on the floor.

My mother went into Ami Court after several nasty falls. She has a pleasant room with her ‘things’ around her and a wet room, toilet facility en-suite.
There is a communal tv lounge for socialising in and an activities leader who organises craft sessions, tea parties, bingo and games.
The staff
seem friendly and attentive and patient.
We have always found her in the best health possible at her age with her medical problems, and when we have asked about something the head of the house, a trained nurse, has been able to refer to her diary or log immediately and give us a date and time for any help or action taken eg visits by the vicar, hairdresser etc.
Her room is always clean, a homely tidy, and the decoration is of a good standard.
My mother is a forceful character, she is not easy to live with, she has old age adding to her problems but she seems always to be content, sure of her own safety and is looked after to a standard I would strive to achieve at home.

I love the staff, the care, the atmosphere, the management and the Home in general.


I live in Ami Court nearly two years now. I am extremely impressed with the care they have provided me.


The staff are friendly and they will do everything for me.


The home is always clean and the food is

delicious and appetising.


I would 100% recommend this place to anybody.

I am the next of kin and power of attorney of someone who stayed in Ami Court for five years after a road accident.


During that time I have nothing but admiration for the patience, love and understanding shown to her by the staff in spite her head injury.


The place never smelled and was always

kept clean and tidy.


The care is EXCELLENT!


Would definitely recommend this home to anybody.
