My dad has been in the care home since Feb 2021 and my mother and I are comfortable with the knowledge that dad is very well looked after. All the staff are friendly and helpful and the service they provide to us, as a family, has always been brilliant.

Dad has been at Little Court since March 2021. Under the circumstances (he is bed-bound and completely reliant on staff) he seems as happy as we could hope for. If ever there is an issue with dads health I am always informed quickly. Due to Covid and the distance I have to travel I have not spent anywhere near as much time at Little Court with dad as I would have liked, so I can only comment on my limited experience of everything. However, I regularly log in for updates and can see that he is pretty well attended to. I can trust he is being looked after and is as content as he can be considering his body has failed him. Communication with the management and nursing team has always been very good. In my opinion, Little Court is definitely one of the better care homes!

Mum moved into Little Court Nursing Home in January 2022. Making the decision to have Mum go into care was a very stressful time the staff at the home supported us as a family, whilst Mum made the transition. The staff are always very welcoming and Mum is well looked after. I have been impressed by their professionalism and dedication to their residents the staff are truly patient, kind and understanding. Whenever I visit the home, it is clean and Mum is too and her room is clean and tidy. Mum improved in her mobility and cognitive ability after she settled in. She has been nursed through one or two spells of being unwell and despite being very frail, she is still doing relatively well and I feel the staff will do what is required in her best interests. We feel very lucky to have been able to have Mum in such a lovely spot with such kind people looking after her.

Our mother stayed at Little Court for four months before sadly dying at the end of August. Mum was always treated with kindness, respect and dignity. Every single member of staff was absolutely amazing. In her last few days, my sister and I plus several of her grandchildren stayed with her all the time. This gave us the opportunity to create some very special memories and for that, we are truly grateful. The support and care we were all shown was outstanding.

Reply from Pat Napier, Manager at Little Court

Thank you very much for your kind words. It so pleasing to hear how happy you are with the care Mum received, and to be able to help create special memories for you and your family is a wonderful thing. I will pass on these comments to the team who will be so appreciative of what you have said. Thank you!

My mother's life was made so much more comfortable and happy whilst at the 'home' with you in Little Court. The staff were incredibly sensitive and caring, all the staff were interactive from the housekeeping team, catering staff, to carers/nurses and recreation staff. She was treated as an individual, and when her journey came to an end, I was supported and kept fully informed. Thank you all.

Little Court has been caring for my mother for two years. During this time, my visits have always seen the excellent care that Little Court and their team provide. They all recognise my mother's needs and respond to them with their expertise and love. My questions about any care or health problems are immediately dealt with. I genuinely feel that they care for their clients and their families and I am very grateful for this. After my visits, I leave with a peaceful heart and mind.

When visiting my brother we are always made welcome by the staff who are very polite. More often than not we are offered a drink and some space to talk to my brother alone. He always appears clean, shaved and in good spirits. There is not a lot to stimulate him mentally, although this may be different throughout the week. Overall the home is a safe and clean environment offering a good standard of care.

Recent management upheavals although sad have not reduced the quality of care at Little Court which is exemplary. The atmosphere in the home is "homely" and not clinical and staff show a real care about residents. Fortunately, there are some very loyal long-standing members of staff who have supported the owners well. They are to be valued. The partnership works well and the two homes form a good team. We are very happy with the quality of care given to our relative. Well done! Little Court is a really good care home and we feel very welcome every visit.

It was an honour to spend two weeks respite care at Little Court.

Staff made me very welcome and my newly decorated suite was wonderful. It was humbling to watch staff handle the residents, some with dementia. It really felt like home and I wish them the very best in the future. Well done!

I moved back from Wales over ten years ago and wanted to get a job so I could use my property maintenance skills. For 10 years I worked as a Maintenance Manager at MG Homes. I love my job; it gets me involved with the residents and I am happy to contribute to their well-being by keeping their rooms nice and tidy.

My best achievement so far is receiving compliments from residents and their families about the appearance of both homes, communal areas and residents' bedrooms. I have recently moved into the position of Facilities Administrator, and there is a lot of administrative work behind the maintenance. I continue to enjoy my work and improving the lives of residents.
