Hi, my name is Liza, and I am the General Manager here at Winchester House. Welcome to our website!

I have a degree in Nursing and have been a registered nurse for about 30 years. I also have a diploma in Healthcare Leadership and Management level 5.

I came over here in 2000 from the Philippines as an overseas nurse. I have a variety of experience in supporting the young physically disabled/neuro-disability, palliative care, elderly care and dementia care. I have worked on different levels of care and management, including healthcare assistant, nurse trainee, staff nurse, unit manager and deputy manager, general manager until I became the General Manager of Winchester House in January 2020.

I have excellent leadership skills and I am very passionate in what I do. I am highly motivated and challenges interest me. I am an open, honest and approachable person.

At Winchester House, I lead the team with integrity and I motivate and empower people to embrace the change with me in achieving success and will continue to look for ways to improve the life of our residents. I always go the extra mile to ensure that residents get the best quality care we can offer.

Hi, I am Toni, I am the Clinical deputy manager here at Winchester House. I have a BSC in nursing and have 19 Years’ experience in a care setting/environment.
I am passionate about delivering a high standard of person-centred care. I do love my residents and i will put their happiness and well-being at the heart of everything I do.

I was a Care Practitioner with Marconi and Castle Court Communities before being promoted to Non-Clinical Deputy Manager. I have been in Care for 30 years and at Winchester House since 2017. I have always had a Passion for Caring.

I joined Winchester House in December 2022 and love working in care. It is rewarding to support residents and their families from enquiry to admission to the home and throughout their stay with us.

Hi, I am the Clinical Lead Nurse. I am a registered nurse with over 25 years’ experience, I came from the Philippines in 2006 but before then I worked in the U.A.E as a general nurse. When I come to England I joined Barchester Healthcare as a career and worked my up from registered nurse to Unit manager.

Peter has worked for Barchester Healthcare since 2009 and has been the Head of Maintenance at Winchester House for almost as long. In addition to completing routine maintenance within the home, there are often special projects that need to be managed, such as equipment breaking down that requires fixing as soon as possible.
I am also responsible for fire safety within the home.

Hi, my name is Matt Taylor and I'm a head chef at Winchester House Care Home. I have worked in hospitality all my life, I started out working in hotels and restaurants but I struggled with unsociable hours so I decided to move to the care sector. I joined Barchester in 2009 and I've never looked back. I absolutely love my job, talking to the residents, and trying to find out their likes and dislikes so I can present their food exactly the way they like it. I love coming up with new ideas to surprise and delight our residents with nutritious a flavoursome home-cooked meals.

Tanya's mother was a resident at Winchester House and had been very happy here. After she passed away, Tanya decided to apply for a job as member of the housekeeping team and is now Head Housekeeper, she enjoys working at the home; being able to put smiles on people’s faces every day and no day is the same!

I have been with the company since 2012. I started in housekeeping but 3 years ago I moved over to Activities. I feel very passionate about my Residents and their well-being.

Care is my passion and I am blessed that I am able to apply my passion at work. I am surrounded with supportive people and I look forward every day working with them.

Hi, my name is Sandra Collins, and I'm a team leader in the Cathedral Square unit. I'm friendly and outgoing love spending time with my family.

I started working at Winchester House in 2019 as a healthcare assistant and became a Team Leader in 2020. I had worked in the care profession on and off for many years, in between raising my family. I am passionate about providing quality care that each resident deserves and bringing happiness and laughter into their everyday lives.

Hello! My name is Joie, and I am the La Farge Unit Nurse Manager here at Winchester House. Originally from the Philippines, I earned my nursing degree there and was qualified in 2009. In the years that followed, I gained experience as both a private nurse and a nurse in an intensive care unit. In 2022, I came to the UK. My skills, knowledge and professionalism assist me greatly in my work here at Winchester House, where my responsibilities include interacting with clients and staff and delivering high-quality care to the people who live here. I enjoy leading my team by setting a positive example for them to follow. As the La Farge Unit Nurse Manager, my unwavering commitment to providing compassionate and effective care to our residents is what drives me each day. With a deep understanding of the complexities of nursing, coupled with my hands-on experience in demanding healthcare settings, I am confident in my ability to lead my team in delivering exceptional care to those who entrust us with their well-being. Beyond my professional qualifications, I am an enthusiastic and driven individual with a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of others. I began my career in healthcare in 2013, after being 8 years a primary teacher. I joined Winchester House as a Healthcare Assistant. During my time in this role, I quickly developed a passion for providing care and recognised that I could contribute more significantly to the well-being of others. Driven by the desire to expand my skills and knowledge, I made the decision to pursue a nursing career and enrolled in nursing school in 2015.

After three years of rigorous study and hands-on training, I completed my nursing qualification and returned to Winchester House in September 2018, eager to put my education into practice. Since re-joining the team, I have continually grown within the organisation, and in 2020, I was proud to be promoted to the role of Senior Nurse.

Throughout my career, I have been committed to delivering the highest standard of care, fostering a supportive environment for both staff and residents, and continuously advancing my professional development. My journey reflects my dedication to improving patient outcomes and making a positive impact on the healthcare community.

I am Myrna m Simon. I completed my bachelors of nursing in 2011 at India. I worked in India as a adult nurse in a multi-speciality hospital from 2011 to 2015. Then I worked as a dialysis nurse in Saudi MOH for 7 years. In 2022 I came to UK as a senior career. I cleared all my exams and received my NMC pin on November 2023. I got my profession back and started working as a nurse march 2024 onwards.

I came for my studies in UK, While pursuing my studies, I worked part-time as a health care assistant, initially as a way to support myself financially. However, it quickly became clear that this role was more than just a job — it was a vocation.
During my time as a part-time health care assistant, I developed a strong passion for providing compassionate, person-centered care. I found great satisfaction in supporting individuals with their daily needs and contributing to their overall well-being. The connections I built with residents, families, and fellow care staff were incredibly rewarding and highlighted the vital role carers play in enhancing quality of life.
Following graduation, I made the decision to continue in healthcare full-time, joining Barchester Healthcare. The organization’s commitment to dignity, respect, and excellence in care aligned perfectly with my values. Now, as a full-time health care assistant, I bring both my academic background and hands-on experience to deliver empathetic, thoughtful, and efficient care to every resident I support.

After the completion of my master's degree program, I gained employment with Barchester Healthcare, and thanks to my team members who have made my work experience with Barchester worthwhile. I am Anandhu Radhakrishna Pillai, working at Winchester House in La Farge Unit as a Healthcare Assistant. I joined Winchester House in 2023 as a Healthcare Assistant, driven by a strong passion for providing person-centred care and supporting individuals to live with dignity, comfort, and respect. From the moment I started, I felt welcomed and supported by the team, and I've been impressed by the organisation's commitment to compassion, dignity, and professionalism.

Hi, my name is Debbie and I currently work at Winchester House as a front of the house reception. I have worked at Winchester House for 8 years in the variety of roles. These include kitchen assistant and housekeeping.

When I first came to work, my biggest concern was how i Would communicate with residents having not had much experience in a care setting.
