The standard of care continues to be good superlative in some cases. Friendly atmosphere with plenty to occupy the mind or body. Have been here for approaching three years I have had no regrets.

It has been a bit up and down. At times there are not enough carers when needed, but they do their best. I have asked for beakers to be replaced as tea stains showing when water inside. Regular meetings for families and residents are a plus. This has assisted when raising any issues. All the staff on duty on my sisters birthday made the day a very happy one. Thank you all. Staff are doing their best under, at times, difficult situations.

Can't praise the staff at Wilmington Manor enough. They look after my MIL brilliantly. She has a lovely bright double aspect room that's cleaned daily. Wonderful meals cooked by the staff in the kitchen. Daily activities to keep residents occupied. There's nothing I've been unhappy with.

My Mum has lived at Wilmington Manor for 21 months and is now sadly near the end of her life. The care she is receiving is compassionate, kind and professional. The Home is very clean, the laundry service is first class, the kitchen/dining staff are excellent and the carers/nurses are lovely. Activities are varied and Robert brings in The Metro newspaper every day for everyone. Friday is Louise's day for hairdressing. There are events arranged for entertainment and keep fit too. Mum loved a ride in her wheelchair around the grounds, looking at the flowers and trees. Its possible to go right round the house. The gardener does a brilliant job keeping the leaves off the lawn too. Overall we have made some lovely friends at Wilmington Manor.

I have now been a resident for 14 months and am quite content, feeling safe and secure. First weeks of residence took some adjustment, but the home and staff were very good at making the transition as easy as possible. The care home is now my home, and when returning from any outing, I always feel safe and secure with the staff welcoming me as a proper person.

I have noticed an improvement in several areas so far this month. Very happy with the meeting updates.

I would suggest a carer to be in the activity room every day, including weekends. Not all residents can use neck or wrist alarms, and no resident would be able to reach the wall units.

My dad was sadly only in the home for a short while, but he was cared for in a professional and friendly manner. The staff: The Manager, the Deputy Manager, the carers along with all the other members of staff were very helpful and did all they could to help my Dad and support us. My mum moved in at the same time as my Dad and she is doing very well under their care. The team have been understanding and attentive to Mum's needs. The home is very clean and has a homely atmosphere, and always welcomes us as visitors at any time of the day. The food is good and there are some lovely gardens and activities to take part in.

My mother resided in Wilmington for the last ten months and I cannot fault the wonderful care she received. There is a warm atmosphere in the home and the staff are kind, attentive and sensitive to everyone's needs.

There is a varied and full range of activities available, the communication app is very useful, and the staff go above and beyond to make the residents and their visiting families feel cared for and welcome. The staff at Wilmington are extremely respectful and operate in a very professional and transparent way.

Please do not put your loved one in this home. My poor mother had diabetes and after her stroke she was on level 5 'soft moist diet' as she couldn't swallow properly. On her first night, the nurse served her sandwiches and Mum started choking - my sister said she couldn't eat that kind of food. The nurse proceeded to look at the notes and asked if she had diabetes and it was the first red flag as it was clear the nurse had not yet read Mum's medical history. Twice she was admitted to Hospital due to high glucose emergencies from the chocolate mousses she had. I discovered an abscess the size of a tennis ball, Paramedics told us she was close to developing sepsis. I discovered the abscess at 3.30pm and Management said that the carer had in fact discovered 'that same morning' but didn't have time to alert the nurse on duty. Surgeons said for an abscess to grow to that size takes weeks if not months! It's something you could not miss if she was receiving appropriate personal care.

Dad spent 5 weeks in Wilmington Manor for respite care. He had spent just over 2 months prior to that in hospital following a fall (resulting in an arm break) and was rapidly deteriorating. We (the family) were faced with a choice of an Assessment Bed where medical staff would assess his needs following which a Nursing Home would have most likely been his destination or trialing him at home with a Care Package. We decided to send Dad to Wilmington Manor in the hope that he would improve mentally and physically and then would be better placed to move back home. The improvement was astonishing. He loved the meals and started to put on weight. The staff were absolutely brilliant and we built a good relationship with them all. While Dad was in the care home he met 2 other residents who used to go to Wilmington Manor a couple of times a year (for respite care) and I am not surprised. We will stay in touch with the staff and if Dad needs some respite care in the future, we will know where to go!

My mum went into this care home in January 2024. I can honestly, genuinely say it has become better and better as the months went on. More staff attending and responding to needs. Always friendly and willing to assist. Activities are very good. Even though my mum doesn't participate as she has late-stage dementia and stays in her room. I often pop down into the lounge and sit and watch. My dog comes in too and residents love stroking him. My sister and I are very pleased with how the house is run. After initial reservations, all this has been reduced to zero.
