Excellent.
I would recommend the home.
I would like to recommend The Withens Nursing home for the excellent care and everything else.
Staff are the best you can find.
Very caring staff. Lovely food. Friendly atmosphere. Beautiful countryside location.
Very homely and welcoming. Encouraging independence with life skills for residents and involving family and friends with care plans and support for the best possible experiences for real all round care of our family member. Many many thanks.
The home is maintained very well, clean and tidy.
Everybody cares about the residents and treats them with respect.
This is an excellent care home- staff and management are very attentive and caring. Food is excellent.
My brother was also in another home under this chain and always been very happy with the level of care given in both homes and would recommend to others. Really happy with the level of care given.
Friendly environment, couldn't wish for anything better. Level of care excellent.
Staff are a well-knit group, work well together and support each other. Cover each other with absences and make sure everything runs smoothly. Considering it is not a purpose built building, everything is managed well around it.
Staff are very good with residents and have a number of activities to keep them occupied.
All in all a satisfactory situation all round.
Staff always really friendly and helpful. My husband is well looked after. The overall standard of the home is good and the care and support is excellent. I have and would recommend this home to others.
A pleasantly located care home in rural surroundings. Rooms are spacious and communal areas are well appointed and attractive. Cleanliness is an issue; rooms and communal areas (e.g. Corridors and toilets) are neither cleaned properly nor frequently enough, nor is there sufficient checking of the facilities to ensure there are paper towels or that waste bins are emptied. Nursing staff at weekends are in short supply meaning that residents are not given as much attention or help as they need; this impacts on bedridden patients for whom no one is available to hoist them into a chair. Meals are varied and sufficient in quantity, but what residents receive often does not match published menus. Management personnel are often difficult to find; at weekends, no management staff are visible at all. A signing-in book in reception is a must to ensure that all persons within the home can be accounted for in an emergency; unfortunately a pen, with which to sign in, is often absent.
