Albany Care Home

Mum was moved to the Albany Care Home from the hospital. The care that she has received has been exceptional. All the staff at Albany are kind, caring and professional and go above and beyond with their care. The food is very good and varied and there is plenty of it. The lounge is such a happy place where everyone is entertained and it is lovely all the staff pop in and participate with the residents. We and our dog have been made to feel so welcome on our visits and we feel part of a warm and caring family. We shall miss the team very much and thank them for looking after mum so well.

My mum was treated with respect and kindness from day one, as were we as a family. The staff are exemplary and have a genuine interest in the residents. The entertainment coordinator had my mum involved and enjoying things she's not done in a very long time. Kindness is everything and the staff at Albany have this in abundance. Thank you all so much!

My late father was content during his stay and, although he was very confused at the time, the staff did all they could to make his time comfortable. Overall, I cannot fault Albany Care Home, Oxford, in what was a most difficult time for the family.

My overall experience was satisfactory. The lady who organised activities was excellent in looking after residents' wellbeing.

My sister and myself can't fault the care and attention that our mother received in the last few weeks of her life. All the staff at Albany Care Home including the admin staff were so supportive and caring. Our mother was happy there and we were visiting every day for at least 2 1/2 hours when she was receiving end-of-life care. At times it was distressing to see our mother but there was never a time when we were made to feel unwelcome. We would highly recommend Albany Care Home to anyone. We were so happy that our mother was there.

Albany Care Home was my mother's home for the final 2 years of her life. She was happy and well-looked after in a loving and caring environment. She spoke of staff kindnesses, lovely food, and pleasurable entertainment. The activities organiser working tirelessly to maintain an enjoyable and stimulating programme for all. Covid restrictions have been in place for most of this time but the staff have all worked hard during this difficult period.

My relative was a resident for five months until his death in January. He was treated with great compassion, excellent physical care, and friendliness. He was happy and relaxed during his time there. Under difficult circumstances due to the pandemic, I found the staff to be professional, considerate, and friendly while following restrictions.

I am very pleased with the care and assistance at Albany Care Home. The staff have been very good to help me get back to my only way of life. Thank you Team Albany.

I live in San Francisco, so I must be comfortable with, and able to trust my mother's caregivers. I visited in October 2021 and found the staff to be extremely helpful, accommodating to my schedule and the room my mother is in was very spacious, comfortable, and light-filled. The staff made sure I went through correct Covid protocols and I ended my visit knowing my mother was and is in good hands.

My mother was a resident here for 18 months until her death in July 2021. We chose Albany Care Home because of its location and because the atmosphere and culture seemed the best fit for my mother. She was very social so the excellent activity programme was a big plus for us. Her time there was challenging because of covid so I'm not sure we were able to experience Albany Care Home at its best. Despite that, the care was excellent and she was happy. Because of that, so were we!

After having a bad break and bad blood levels I was put on a monitor for my heart. The experience of staff - all carers and all ages nursed me back.

We, as a family, feel very happy with the care our father had; he was very frail and was cared for extremely well. The staff did their best and informed me of all changes in his deteriorating health. Many, many thanks.

My father was always complimentary about the care he received. He was especially grateful for the activities when he first arrived. Latterly, when he was poorly, we found the nursing care very good and thoughtful.

Thank you for looking after Mum so well. We really appreciate how kind you are to her.

My mother was a temporary resident at the Albany. She received excellent care from a dedicated staff and able activities coordinator, who made her feel very well loved. It was so good and reassuring to know she was in such good hands. She particularly enjoyed the excellent food! Thank you.

'Home from Home' there are not enough words to say what excellent, loving care that was given to my dad. From the ladies that did dads washing, to senior management, nothing was too much trouble and every day a loving smile and words of compassion. I feel blessed that my dads last days of his long life were spent with such wonderful people. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

My father-in-law was resident at Albany Care Home from September 2019 until his passing on 1st February 2020. During this period all aspects of his care was given with love, empathy, compassion and laughter. He was happy and very settled throughout due to the incredible staff. No amount of words can describe the feeling of contentment this gave us as a family. We visited daily and this never changed. Thank you to all staff.
