I live in San Francisco, so I must be comfortable with, and able to trust my mother's caregivers. I visited in October 2021 and found the staff to be extremely helpful, accommodating to my schedule and the room my mother is in was very spacious, comfortable, and light-filled. The staff made sure I went
through correct Covid protocols and I ended my visit knowing my mother was and is in good hands.

My mother was a resident here for 18 months until her death in July 2021. We chose Albany Care Home because of its location and because the atmosphere and culture seemed the best fit for my mother. She was very social so the excellent activity programme was a big plus for us. Her time there was challenging
because of covid so I'm not sure we were able to experience Albany Care Home at its best. Despite that, the care was excellent and she was happy. Because of that, so were we!

My father was always complimentary about the care he received. He was especially grateful for the activities when he first arrived. Latterly, when he was poorly, we found the nursing care very good and thoughtful.

My father was in Albany Care Home for 9 years with severe dementia. He could not do anything for himself. The care that he received from the staff was excellent. They were like an extended family for him, which in that we were very grateful. The love and care he received were second to none. This was
even more evident recently with the Coronavirus lockdown situation. Lead from the Manager, infection control was in place Immediately, keeping the residents and staff as safe as possible. Unfortunately at this time, my father's dementia took a turn for the worst and he forgot to eat or drink. We could not visit at this time but we were kept informed at all times with my father's condition. Unfortunately, he slowly got worse and passed away. I can only say how wonderful the staff were. A nurse was with him when he passed, we were able to talk to her and she told us exactly how it was which was great peace of mind for me.
So thank you to all of the wonderful staff at the Albany.

My mother was a temporary resident at the Albany. She received excellent care from a dedicated staff and able activities coordinator, who made her feel very well loved. It was so good and reassuring to know she was in such good hands. She particularly enjoyed the excellent food! Thank you.

Although I am glad to be home, I had a wonderful experience in the Albany. Everyone looked after me extremely well and were kind.
The food was exceptional.
The entertainment, when it took place, was excellent and well thought out.

'Home from Home' there are not enough words to say what excellent, loving care that was given to my dad. From the ladies that did dads washing, to senior management, nothing was too much trouble and every day a loving smile and words of compassion. I feel blessed that my dads last days of his long life

My father-in-law was resident at Albany Care Home from September 2019 until his passing on 1st February 2020. During this period all aspects of his care was given with love, empathy, compassion and laughter. He was happy and very settled throughout due to the incredible staff. No amount of words can
describe the feeling of contentment this gave us as a family. We visited daily and this never changed. Thank you to all staff.

It was a very sad time when the decision was made for my Grampy to go into a care home. All staff made me, my family and most importantly my Grampy feel a part of the family. He was looked after, loved and cared for, just as we would do. Thank you to ALL staff at the Albany for looking after him.

My mother was placed in an NHS bed. She seemed content and appeared to enjoy being in the lounge with the other residents. The activities coordinator is lovely and tried to involve all residents. The other carers were friendly and kind, although some were reserved and weren't as chatty. Activities and

My brother was with Albany for a very short time. Sadly he passed away in the home. My family and I cannot thank the staff enough for all they did for him. A wonderful place for Dad to spend his last few weeks.
The manager was so helpful and kind to Dad and the carers and all the staff were so good to Dad. When we asked him if he wanted to go home, he said no, he wanted to stay at the Albany for the rest of his life, which he did. So thank you very much
for everything you did for him.

After 3 weeks at the hospital following an operation for a burst aorta, my husband needed a place he could be safely looked after before coming home. He spent 5 days at the Albany Care Home in a nice private room. He got excellent care. When it was his birthday, they brought him a cake and sang Happy
Birthday to him. But he would not have liked the communal rooms.
