Looking after my mum really well considering she's had a very severe stroke they look after her extremely well. She needs a lot of care as she is paralysed all down one side. She seems very happy and always says how nice the staff are to her. We are very grateful she is here and can't thank the staff enough for their patience and kindness.
As for the carers, there really are not enough words to describe them. They smile as they greet you. Nothing is too much trouble. My father can't remember names but has his own way of describing them. It invariably involves him describing a smile, a little dance or friendly gesture. The carers always greet him if they're passing by. These little moments are so important. It takes very special people to be carers. Middletown Grange has a lot of very special people.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Middletown Grange. All feedback is gratefully received and appreciated.
Looking for a care home for your loved one isn't an easy task but I certainly found one for my husband. The care and loving attention given and the commitment to provide a nurturing environment for all the residents is first class at Middletown Grange Care Home. The staff are just wonderful and I am so pleased that my husband has found a home away from home. His care is paramount to me and I rest easy knowing that his health and welfare needs are fully met. I can not praise highly enough how the staff not only look after my husband but when I visit they make me feel like I am home as well. Simply wonderful.

Our mother stayed at Middletown for 5 years whilst living with Dementia. During this time, she received excellent care and was well looked after. We were always impressed with the range of activities available which Mum was able to participate in. There is a high standard of cleanliness and a varied menu - with choices for meals, all prepared to an excellent quality. The Care staff dealing with the residents daily needs are always attentive, friendly and compassionate. We never felt in the way when visiting our Mum and in the last few days of her life, the Nurses - Kavya, May and Priya were extremely professional and empathetic supporting our needs as well as Mums. Their Open Door policy allowed us to stay with her as long as we wanted to. We are pleased we chose Middletown Grange for Mum.

She enjoyed the activities while she was able.
My father also stayed for a few months until he passed away. He was quite deaf and loud, but they managed him wonderfully. He was so blessed to have enjoyed his last days at Middletown.
As you know, you're always welcome to visit us if you're passing by or come to any of our events. Kind regards, Mirela.
Clothes were always washed but always screwed up in drawers. I weekly tidied and folded them only for next week back to screwed up. My mother was not able to reach drawers so it was not her doing.
At Christmas time, the only decoration was a tree in the lounge. Nothing in corridors no activities for upstairs residents.
Hi Jill, thanks for taking the time to leave your review. We're sorry to learn you're unhappy with Middletown Grange Care Home, particularly as we can't see that any concerns were raised during your mums time with us - we would have loved the opportunity to put things right for you. Our Memory...
Mum was transferred to Middletown Nursing Home from the Horton Hospital in Banbury. So far, (mum has only been there 5 days) I cannot fault the nursing home in any way whatsoever. Everything is perfect and we are so happy that mum is at Middletown Grange. I feel mum is getting the perfect care and attention. I always think that you can gauge businesses/organisations by the staff. All of the staff at Middletown are smiling and happy and appear to really enjoy their work. 10/10!
I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional care my father has received at Middletown Grange Care Home. The staff are truly amazing-compassionate, attentive, and always going above and beyond to ensure his comfort. The facility is spotless, creating a warm and welcoming environment. During this difficult time, knowing he is in such caring hands brings our family great comfort. Thank you to the entire team for your kindness and dedication.
So 2100 hrs one Friday night I started emailing local nursing homes asking for help. The following morning the manager at Middletown Grange contacted me to offer her help. She was very reassuring on the phone and made my uncle feel very important so we arranged a visit that lunchtime. Wow, what can I say what a place. The Middletown Grange is so clean so warm so welcoming from the reception area to the comfortable lounge to the well-organised restaurant.
The bedroom that was offered to my uncle was stunning, all new solid furniture very well presented with his own en-suite shower room with views onto a courtyard. After a tour round and a good conversation with the manager and nurses on site, we moved him in. 4 weeks into his permanent stay he is very happy. Thank you so much.
Care and compassion outstanding.
Food good quality and offer things off menu if don't fancy anything.
Atmosphere is good, furnishings lovely. Mum feels safe and secure here.
Our parents have been residents at Middletown Grange Care home for over 2 years and I would like to say how all the team are working hard to ensure they are having the best possible care. That includes all the caring staff, plus support staff who take the time to make a fuss about our parents. Both parents have dementia and are residents upstairs. Whilst we cannot change their medical conditions which are gradually deteriorating, I am happy in the knowledge they are safe and cared for 24 hours a day. We have occasionally visited during lunch and the staff allowed us to stay and have a wonderful meal with them which is what they used to enjoy at home.
Yvonne, thank you so much for your wonderful review. Hearing from family members like you brings us immense joy, especially knowing that you feel your parents are receiving the utmost care and attention they deserve. We strive to create a warm and welcoming environment at Middletown Grange Care...
Please thank all your staff.
Thank you, Alan, for your feedback and kind words. It's lovely to hear the staff support you so well and will ensure that your words are passed to the team.
What a brilliant day we have had here at Barchester Middletown Grange Care Home today at the family BBQ. The food, as always, was excellent and the staff were all on hand to look after both residents and families. Piano man and the saxophone player provided us with great music to sing along to. The highlight of my day was being surprised by everyone singing Happy Birthday to me with a beautiful cake. Not only are the residents looked after, so are the families. Thank you all so much for making my dad's life here so happy which, in turn, makes me happy.
Thank you so much for your kind words and feedback, Kathy, we are glad that you had a lovely birthday and appreciate you spending the time with us and the families here at Middletown Grange.
More help and support could be provided in small areas, such as ensuring hearing aid batteries are topped up regularly, so Mum can hear, and being aware of when her legs are beginning to swell up.
Thank you for your kind words and feedback, Cilla. We appreciate you taking the time to provide some constructive feedback support for the team and will ensure this is a point of focus.
Dad passed peacefully early this New Year.
I would like to put in writing my thanks to all the staff for the kindness, empathy - indeed love - that you all showed our family at that most difficult time.
It was so very much appreciated by my wife, my daughters, and me.
My admiration and gratitude to all of you at Middletown Grange is immense.
I could not think of a more wonderful place for my StepMum to be looked after still.
Thank you all!
Thank you very much for your kind words we really appreciate the support and feedback for the team. Please pass on our best wishes to the family and you are always welcome to come by and see us.
My mother spent the last two years of her life at Middletown Grange Care Home. She was well cared for, with staff taking an interest in her family and life experiences, as well as adapting their routines to suit her individual needs. They ensured she had a plentiful supply of reading material, as well as a bookcase to store them. The nurses took time to understand her complex medical needs and ensure she was comfortable, as well as keeping her informed of medical appointments. Mum shared much laughter with all the staff! Thank you from all her family.
Thank you very much for your kind words. It was a privilege for us to look after your mother for the period she was with us.
The Staff at Middletown Grange welcomed the whole family to celebrate my wife's Grandad's 103rd birthday. This is our second visit and we have all been extremely impressed with the care and attention each member of staff give to each resident and guests. Thanks to the Staff for decorating the quiet room and thanks to the Chef for the delicious Sunday roast, we all enjoyed being able to share this special day together.
Thank you for your kind words. We are so pleased to hear that everyone enjoyed the celebrations and food! Please do come and visit us again soon!
We returned to join him for lunch to celebrate his 103rd birthday with the rest of the family and were amazed to find that they had arranged and prepared one of their lounges for a large family party.
We were treated to a three-course menu, with full table service and a large birthday cake, all made at the home by their own chef.
A big thank you to everyone for making it such a special day for us all.
Thank you for your kind words. We are so pleased to hear that everyone enjoyed the celebrations and food! Please do come and visit us again soon!
Me and my family spent the weekend of the 20th of April celebrating my grandad's 103rd birthday. It was the first time I had visited my grandad since his move to Middletown Grange. The staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble and most importantly my grandad is happy. He is cared for, kept safe and offered lots of opportunities to socialise. Carers went above and beyond, there were 14 of us who had a sit-down meal in lovely surroundings. The chef, hats off to you, our meal was lovely and the bread and butter pudding with custard was yummy. Having seen the home and met carers I felt reassured that the decision made as a family to move grandad was definitely the right one. I wish all care homes for our elderly reflected that of Middletown Grange, if they did then I am sure there would be less anxiety for those having to move to such provisions and their family.
Thank you so much for your kind words and feedback. We are so pleased that the family had a lovely weekend celebrating together and glad to have played a part in it. Making decisions to move loved ones into a care home can be difficult, but we are so pleased to hear that the family are happy and...
Celebrated my Grandad's 103rd birthday with family last weekend and we all had a smashing time. Thanks to all the Staff for decorating the quiet lounge and for providing a delicious lunch and birthday cake. He moved here in January and we are all so pleased that he has settled in marvellously.
Thank you for your kind words, Angie. It's lovely to know that everyone had a great weekend celebrating and you're welcome to come and visit anytime.
