Each time I have visited I have had a very warm welcome and I have been very impressed by the caring staff, beautiful surroundings, and cleanliness. I feel if I ever needed care then this is the place I would like to be. Before lockdown, I felt there was a good mix of things to do and entertainment, which is so important. Also, being able to enjoy the garden is essential.

From the moment we walked into the home and met with the staff we were put at ease and reassured that our mother would have a lovely time here. The home has beautiful gardens and modern decor with all the facilities you would need. The staff cared for Mum as if she was their own.

My mum has been in here for 3 weeks. She is very happy with all staff and has made new friends. Her room is very nice and clean and the food is really good. She is very glad she came here as she is no longer alone and feels safe.

My grandfather has become very settled quickly at Middletown Grange. The staff have created strong bonds with my grandad and this is displayed during my visits. The setting is always calm, clean and full of space, the gardens are particularly spacious and beautiful. I am ringing a lot to check on my grandfather and staff are extremely helpful and attentive.

Care continues to be excellent through COVID-19, following ongoing good care prior to that. My mum is well and through skype call and booked visits we have been able to keep in touch.

The home has managed Covid-19 extremely well. We have been kept up to date and all the staff have coped really well. The skype calls were fantastic, my mum didn't really understand them but it was lovely to see her face. We have started visiting outside only which is lovely. I can phone anytime for an update which is lovely.

I am very happy with my decision to have my mother at Middletown Grange and more importantly, so is she. The care staff are attentive and kind, whilst the management team are professional, considerate and are obviously guiding this ship in the right direction.

I don’t need to think about my mother beyond just thinking about her; I’m confident that her domestic situation is as good as can be.

Middletown Grange accepted my mother for respite after she broke her ankle at the start of Coronavirus lockdown. The care that she has received, in very difficult circumstances, has been excellent. They have been very efficient in organising her visits to hospital for check-up and an additional operation, and have looked after Mum very well in the post-operation phase. Although I have not been able to visit, it seems a loving and caring environment where Mum has been very happy.

The manager leads from the top, with a positive approach to the client and family, running the home efficiently and dealing with any queries with ease. The home is clean, bright and feels so homely, the staff are polite and cheerful always ready with a smile and friendly greeting, even when they are really busy.

Mum is always clean, tidy and happy being at the home; she feels safe. During these difficult time's with the Corona Virus, the home gets my mother to video call us, which is great, we miss seeing her, this is the next best thing. We know my mother is kept safe and well, and she feels safe, and that is priceless for us.

The staff at Middletown Grange have been so accommodating during the coronavirus lockdown. They have always been willing to take phone calls and help me keep in touch with my mum. Even though I haven’t been able to visit I have felt confident that she is being well looked after and staff have informed me of any issues.
The communication from the care home manager and the group during this crisis has been informative and detailed.

So glad we chose this care home for Mum.

We have the highest praise for all the team at Middletown Grange. Since our mum went to live there a few months ago everyone has shown endless patience and care to ensure she has settled in and feels at home. Our mum has dementia so we were very worried as to how she would accept her new environment but because of the efforts and kindness of all the staff there we know she is in the right place, safe and extremely well cared for. Each resident is treated as an individual with their own specific likes/dislikes taken into account. The staff really take the time to get to know the residents. In these challenging times, the staff have kept us completely up to date and have sat with mum holding her hand and with an arm round her shoulder, made it possible for us to remain in contact via video call. We cannot praise all of the staff enough and feel very grateful indeed that our mum is in such a friendly and happy environment. Thank you everyone.

We would like to thank everyone at Middletown Grange for the wonderful care they are providing our relatives at this challenging time. The manager ensures that we are kept up to date with regular emails regarding the position of the home and the well being of our family members. Skype, Facetime, Whatsapp calls and videos have been introduced for families to be able to see their loved ones and they have also introduced virtual entertainers for the residents. During April they celebrated the Easter weekend and then shortly after this there was a tea party in the beautiful garden to celebrate the Queens birthday.

The home also celebrated VE day with residents again having a celebration tea party in the garden reminiscing about what happened on VE day. All the staff really have worked incredibly hard to keep this virus at bay and we cannot thank you enough. Please stay safe everyone at Middletown, we miss you all very much and look forward to seeing you again soon.

I can not praise the manager and her staff enough for looking after my dad since he's been at Middletown. Especially since Covid 19 has been about. There is a very high standard of care and support at the Middletown Grange nursing home. Mum is comfortable, safe and well cared for, with all her needs being met. The staff are very friendly, caring, patient, they also spend time and conversation with Mum. The food and drinks are plentiful and delicious. Daily activities are well organised, stimulating and importantly lots of fun too. The manager has a ‘my door is always open’ policy which is so reassuring when we live some distance from the home. All in all, an exceptionally well-run care home.

I was made welcome from the start. My room was on the corner of the building and had windows on two sides, which enabled me to see the garden and also out onto the road. I elected to take my meals in the small dining room, which meant that I got to know the other users and the staff quite quickly and I found it surprising that a number of the residents chose to have all meals in their room. The entertainments and outings were varied and enjoyable and the large lounge was the most pleasant place to sit.
