The care and support offered to my mum has been fantastic. Mum has had to be placed out of county but the travel is worth it just to know she is well cared for. The atmosphere is positive staff are engaging and attentive. You can tell that things are well organised and staff are knowledgeable. I would be happy for mum to stay here after her assessment period.

Dad came to Julie Richardson as a DTA from out of country. When his initial 6 weeks came to an end we decided, as a family, to leave dad in the home due to the fantastic care he was recieving. All of the staff are kind, compassionate and genuinely care for all of the residents. We as a family have no worries when we are not with dad as we know he is well looked after. Dad is always happy when we are not here and has built good relationships with all of the staff.

I speak for myself, my two sisters and brother. We live about one hours drive away from the nursing home, but know that this is the best place for mum. Mum is content in the nursing home. The staff are amazing, caring and highly trained to deal with our mum's dementia. Mum has made friends with other residents. She loves the food. Mum never wanted to go into a home, but it quite happy to be at Julie Richardson. The nursing care is excellent. Communication from staff on mum's needs and care is immediate. We as a family know that mum is loved and cared for and could not wish for anymore in her circumstances. Thank you.

Our father arrived at the home for end of life care so he was only here for a week before he died, but in that short time, I was amazed at the level of care and response from the staff. We were made to feel so welcome when visiting and everyone was so friendly. My father was very ill but received the best care they could provide for him whilst respecting his dignity and humanity. We were informed of any changes to his health and included in any pertinent care decisions where they thought it necessary. This made the last few days of his life so much easier. Other care homes should aspire to this. Thank you so much from me and my sister. You were brilliant!

We'd been desperate to get mum the right care for years, the fabulous social worker at the hospital helped us to find The Julie Richardson Nursing Home, we will be forever grateful. We couldn't have asked for more. Mum presented some difficulties but the care workers and nurses were so kind to her and we could all see that mum was happier than she had been for a long time. The level of care was second-to-none. Mum blossomed at Julie Richardson and although she only there for six months until she died, we never ever worried for her future again in those six months. Thank you to all at Julie Richardson, you are the best.

Very helpful staff, friendly, welcoming, always smiling and kind. My mum is a high risk fall 89 mobile with dementia. She has spent 7 years in a residential care home in another town but a fractured hip led her into hospital for 7 weeks. She has been accepted at Julie Richardson Nursing Home for 6 weeks assessment and although too far from the previous town and too far for her regular visitors I am much reassured she has excellent care at Julie Richardson.
