Outstanding care.

Very helpful staff, friendly, welcoming, always smiling and kind. My mum is a high risk fall 89 mobile with dementia. She has spent 7 years in a residential care home in another town but a fractured hip led her into hospital for 7 weeks. She has been accepted at Julie Richardson Nursing Home for 6 weeks assessment and although too far from the previous town and too far for her regular visitors I am much reassured she has excellent care at Julie Richardson.

My mum was in Julie Richardson for 10 months, all the staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. I became part of the care home as well, made lots of friends. My mum settled in well there. I would recommend.

Sadly, only one month in your care. Staff were excellent and very happy, which is so good these days. Always a nice welcome when I cam to visit.

The Julie Richardson is a very caring and homely place for a resident to live. Each member of staff genuinely cares about everyone. There are lots of activities for residents to get involved with if they wish. I thoroughly recommend this warm and happy home.

My father moved to The Julie Richardson Nursing Home in November 2023. From our first visit it was evident that Dad was receiving excellent care, and that there are always plenty of staff available to ensure everyone’s needs are met. Visitors receive a warm welcome and are made to feel part of a family. The staff treat residents with courtesy and dignity. They take time to get to know each individual personally and pay attention to every detail. We have every confidence in the team at this care home. They managed to take Dad out on short trips locally, for which we are very grateful. My mother and I were able to enjoy a lovely Christmas lunch there, with Dad, on Christmas Day. There is a happy and vibrant community at the care home. The staff are very knowledgeable, hard-working and dedicated. I would like to thank them for looking after Dad so well.

We were all welcomed on arrival. Communication was excellent. The care and Doctor's involvement when required was remarkable. The well-being of our relative was paramount to all involved so he would have as a good quality of life as possible. We are so grateful and the end-of-life care was sympathetic and effective.

Whenever we have visited, my relative's care has been exceptional and it is my impression that this has been the case throughout and not just for our benefit.

My husband has received compassionate care and assistance from all the staff. They make an effort to talk to him and to find out about him. I find them very friendly, caring and approachable.

Whenever I visit my brother (once a week for an hour or more at the present time), all the staff are always friendly and welcoming. I can see that my brother is being extremely well looked after, and this helps give me great peace of mind.

Mum spent a month in the Julie Richardson Nursing Home. When she went in, I thought that she would not come out! The care and dedication given by the staff at the nursing home has made a huge difference and four weeks later, she came home. We are very happy with the level of care that was given and the professional support given.

My stepfather has settled in very well and appears relaxed, cared for and happy. I have been really impressed with all the staff, from the moment of admission (May) until now. They have been thorough and attentive to all my stepfather needs and us as a family.

My mother went to Julie Richardson house as an emergency placement, and she was immediately welcomed into the home by the staff. The staff made every effort to get to know her, and quickly recognised her care needs and helped her to settle in what was a difficult time. She was treated with kindness, respect, patience and compassion throughout her stay. The support and kindness shown to us, as a family, was greatly appreciated.

Mum has been here for around 6-months now. It’s reassuring for the family to know Mum is in good hands and being well looked after. The staff are great, always available to talk, answer questions and help with anything that is on your mind. Big thanks to the manager and everyone else who works hard day and night looking after our loved ones. Mum having to go into a nursing home came as a huge shock to the family, The Julie Richardson nursing home has made it a less stressful and worrying experience.
