Our father arrived at the home for end of life care so he was only here for a week before he died, but in that short time, I was amazed at the level of care and response from the staff. We were made to feel so welcome when visiting and everyone was so friendly. My father was very ill but received the
best care they could provide for him whilst respecting his dignity and humanity. We were informed of any changes to his health and included in any pertinent care decisions where they thought it necessary. This made the last few days of his life so much easier. Other care homes should aspire to this. Thank you so much from me and my sister. You were brilliant!

I would like to thank Esmere Gardens for being able to take my Father as an emergency admission after a fall and being discharged very quickly and at short notice from hospital. The care my Father received from Esmere Gardens staff was first class. He spent 10 days resting and recouping with all his
needs attended to including the many daily dressing changes. He enjoyed his stay at Esmere and described it as like being in a hotel. For myself and my family we knew he was in safe hands which was a huge relief. I would have no hesitation in recommending Esmere Gardens.

From the first meeting with management in October 24, we knew that Mum would be well looked after at Banbury Heights. They were both natural, genuine ladies who put us at ease about putting mum in a care home. Since Mum has been there, we have noticed how happy she seems in her own world. She's well
looked after and always clean & tidy. When she's been ill, she has received the best of care, both timely & efficiently.

Mum arrived confused, anxious, withdrawn, and deeply sad. From day one, the staff treated her with incredible compassion, patience, and respect-not just as a patient, but as the strong, proud woman she has always been.
The care team at Banbury Heights truly went above and beyond. They didn't just care

One of the most touching things was how they helped her rediscover her love for fashion It may seem like a small thing, but for her, it was a big part of feeling like herself again.

Just had a health and welfare update with the home manager, which served to reinforce the wonderful care that mum receives 24/7. The behind the scenes monitoring that takes place is amazing and shows the holistic approach to care that is undertaken at Shipston Lodge. So as well as the wonderful face
to face care that mum is shown, it is comforting to know what goes on unseen that means mum receives first class attention both medical and practical which means the world to us as a family.

We are especially touched that you've recognised both the visible and the quieter, behind-the-scenes elements of our care. It's often those unseen moments-whether through detailed monitoring, thoughtful planning, or quiet acts of compassion-that help us deliver the kind of holistic care we strive for every day. After being pushed over by a neighbour's dog. when I broke my left femur, I had screws and a plate fitted in hospital where I was from the 6th to the 21st of March. I transferred to Shipston Lodge on the 21st of March, where the respite care and nursing has been exceptional. It is run by an excellent
professional manager and is extremely well managed. I found the Indian carers and nurses to be particularly good. The physiotherapists were excellent and I am sad to hear their services have been dispensed with. They have me walking and able to be discharged to live independently again.

We found ourselves needing emergency respite care for my mother in law who is still living at home with carers. The first phone call with this home made me feel at ease. I contacted many in the area, this home just responded quickly and were fantastic. This home is heads and shoulders above many in
the area. This home is lively, has many facilities- There is no gods waiting room atmosphere in this home.
My mother in law is very anti nursing home and this opened her very stubborn eyes to what a nursing home is like. It's caring, friendly and the manager and her team are super professional and should be very proud of themselves as they all make a difference!
My mother in law, who loves to moan and is very fussy, could not through her disappointment find one thing to criticise- the experience in this home has potentially made some difficult future conversations and choices a lot easier . This is all down to the amazing experience in this home- they put some luxury hotels to shame!

I booked myself into Esmere Gardens on 7th February 2025 until 14th February 2025. I am an 87 year old lady and on 7th Feb had mastectomy which is a major surgery for me. My experience at Esmere Gardens was wonderful. Everyone was so understanding and friendly, made me feel confident. They couldn't
do enough for me. The food was excellent and they brought it to my room because I had a drainage in and couldn't go to the dining room. They always brought my food in with a smile and a greeting. The carers took my blood pressure and temperature every day. My water was changed everyday as well as my towels. I highly recommend anyone who needs rest or a lovely place to live to go to Esmere Gardens.
