I have found the management and the staff of Banbury Heights so helpful and refreshingly human.
All of the staff really seem to put authentic care into their work. The food is certainly to my mum's liking and the staff are finding their ways around her quirks and in doing so, making life easier for
all involved.
Win, win, the place may not look the best, but I'd take the human aspect over fake florals any day.
Thanks to you all.

My mum received end of life care at Banbury Heights Nursing Home. The way she was cared for couldn't have been better and she was kept comfortable throughout. I can also say the same for how we as family were treated. As we stayed day and night we were shown extraordinary care as if from family with
endless cups of tea, meals and biscuits.
The manager and lead nurse deserve a special mention as do the two carers who worked Tuesday to Thursday nights who sat with me during the night and listened as I talked about mum. They were wonderful. All of the staff were great though and there were too many to give a special mention.
I want to add that the atmosphere both day and night was lovely. Although the day was somewhat noisy at times, at night it was peaceful and calm. The residents were treated with the same dignity and respect in the early hours. An especially big thank you to the night staff who looked after mum and I.

Mum was sent here a few weeks ago when she was discharged from Hospital. I can honestly say the care she received was exemplary. From managers to cleaners everybody cares.
If I was to end up in a nursing home for any reason I'd want to be sent here.
The food was excellent, over the last couple of
weeks the family spent a lot of time with mum and were always offered meals.
I know a lot of people grumble about nursing home charges but for me the quality of care was above and beyond what was paid.

I am extremely happy with the care and attention that all the staff at Banbury Heights give to my mother. It was difficult for me to look after her over the previous years, seeing her deteriorate, and now seeing the transformation in her well-being since she has been there is truly heart-warming.
I
would not want her to be anywhere else.

From the first meeting with management in October 24, we knew that Mum would be well looked after at Banbury Heights. They were both natural, genuine ladies who put us at ease about putting mum in a care home. Since Mum has been there, we have noticed how happy she seems in her own world. She's well
looked after and always clean & tidy. When she's been ill, she has received the best of care, both timely & efficiently.

Mum arrived confused, anxious, withdrawn, and deeply sad. From day one, the staff treated her with incredible compassion, patience, and respect-not just as a patient, but as the strong, proud woman she has always been.
The care team at Banbury Heights truly went above and beyond. They didn't just care
for her-they cared about her.
One of the most touching things was how they helped her rediscover her love for fashion It may seem like a small thing, but for her, it was a big part of feeling like herself again.
Thanks to the unwavering support and love she received, we saw our mum come back to life. She laughed again, engaged with others, and regained her sense of self.
We will always be grateful to the team at Banbury Heights for helping her heal and

Our dad was placed in emergency care at Banbury Heights Nursing Home. He settled in quickly enjoying the kindness of the staff, the activity sessions & visits from nursery & animal unit. We were impressed with the care & kindness shown to him. He was always in clean clothes, shaved & had a haircut whilst
resident which meant a lot to us his family. Sadly he has since passed but we would definately recommend Banbury Heights Nursing Home.

fed, warm and comfortable in her last days of life, which are few. This home deserves credit.

Do not send family members here. Worst care home ever. Stole money from my grandmother had to get the police involved. When we confronted the staff they served notice for my gran to leave (best thing to happen as the place is so bad). The managers are awful and constantly lie. Worst thing I did was
send my family here. Should have believed the reviews I read. Levels of neglect is unreal. I visited plenty of times and its so poor. Dirty beds and rooms, unresponsive staff, latest was toilets being out of order for 4 days, took videos off this. We constantly took pictures as was so bad, had to be reported. Would not have give this place a single star if this this site would allow it, this place needs to be shut down!

I have to live the rest of my life knowing that I sent my mum here for the last 6 weeks of her life. The staff spoke their own language quite a bit and didn't seem to interact with my mum or other residents while I was there. Hot/warm water was given to Mum to rinse her mouth out after brushing her
teeth (when she was given her toothbrush). The food didn't look or taste nice. Should have phoned me in the morning of the 7th of August when Mum said she felt unwell and had stomach pains.

I am writing to say what a joy and pleasure it is for me to visit a friend in Banbury Heights Nursing Home. I am always warmly welcomed by all staff - management. With fifteen years of visiting, I find it a sheer joy and always look forward to going twice every week. And why is this? Simply because
of all the love and care given to the residents, especially my friend and she always says how much she likes living there and I can say, without a shadow of a doubt, I am more than impressed with what I see every time I visit.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.350) out of 10 for Banbury Heights Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.4 out of 5 from 19 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 17 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.425 for Banbury Heights Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (157 Excellents x 5) + (44 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) + (6 Poors x 2) + (15 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 226 Ratings = 4.425
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.925 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Banbury Heights Nursing Home is based on 17 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.925
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 59 registered maximum number of service users is 11.8, which has been reached with 17 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
