Dad has now been at Shipston Lodge for a year. Prior to funding being actioned in Nov 2025 Dad was having numerous falls & incidents but now with one-to-one care he is finally safe & sound & well cared for 24/7. Absolutely lovely home & facilities with a fantastic team of staff & management. Mum & myself are now content Dad is in the best place available for his needs. We cannot lose one-to-one care as it would be catastrophic in my dad's decline.

Now Ray has spent 12 months in Shipston Lodge I am happy & confident he is in the best possible place for his health needs. Now with 1 to 1 care he is no longer having numerous falls & accidents allowing him to have better rest in a bed whilst being watchful. I myself have peace of mind finally after caring for him at home for the last few years. I have total confidence in the staff & methods at Shipston Lodge along with all the facilities & food & drink provided to residents. Thank you to all involved in Roy's car & safety.

Mum spent 4 very happy years at Shipston Lodge. She was 97 when she arrived and 101 when she peacefully and naturally passed away in her room. The care she received was exemplary. Mum was shown dignity, respect and love. Every member of the team deserves praise for the lovely way they always treated mum. Mum was very deaf and not mobile but was always included in the day to day activities of the care home and staff went out of their way to communicate effectively with her. I cannot fault Shipston Lodge.

Relinquishing sole responsibility for my dad's care was a huge step for me, and the transition has been made so much easier by the obvious care and attention given by everyone involved, at every level, to both of us.

Seeing dad being given the time and space to adjust and settle into his new surroundings and routine is encouraging, and I feel my role slowly shifting from being his carer back to enjoying a relationship with him as a daughter again, which at this stage of his dementia journey is so precious. The range and scope of activities offered are also key to his mental and physical stimulation and will give him the fulfilment and enjoyment he deserves.

I wanted to say how I see my uncle unwinding from the stresses and tensions he incurred in previous care home. I believe you have saved his life and brought him peace. The love sheared and the care given by staff is so effective in the health and well being of the residents. I am grateful that your attention to detail and fast response has kept my uncle safe, with falls having been of great concern you have supported my uncle in his state. Outdoor activities - minibus to train station for tea and cake. Group activities, feeding the ducks.

I could not be happier with the care my mother has received since she moved into Shipston Lodge in April this year. The staff are outstanding and can't do enough for mum. Just had a health and welfare update with the home manager, which served to reinforce the wonderful care that mum receives 24/7. The behind the scenes monitoring that takes place is amazing and shows the holistic approach to care that is undertaken at Shipston Lodge. So as well as the wonderful face to face care that mum is shown, it is comforting to know what goes on unseen that means mum receives first class attention both medical and practical which means the world to us as a family.

Shipston Lodge is a very friendly and welcoming home for both its residents and their families. The staff are helpful, caring and supportive. After being pushed over by a neighbour's dog. when I broke my left femur, I had screws and a plate fitted in hospital where I was from the 6th to the 21st of March. I transferred to Shipston Lodge on the 21st of March, where the respite care and nursing has been exceptional. It is run by an excellent professional manager and is extremely well managed. I found the Indian carers and nurses to be particularly good. The physiotherapists were excellent and I am sad to hear their services have been dispensed with. They have me walking and able to be discharged to live independently again.

We found ourselves needing emergency respite care for my mother in law who is still living at home with carers. The first phone call with this home made me feel at ease. I contacted many in the area, this home just responded quickly and were fantastic. This home is heads and shoulders above many in the area. This home is lively, has many facilities- There is no gods waiting room atmosphere in this home.
My mother in law is very anti nursing home and this opened her very stubborn eyes to what a nursing home is like. It's caring, friendly and the manager and her team are super professional and should be very proud of themselves as they all make a difference!

My mother in law, who loves to moan and is very fussy, could not through her disappointment find one thing to criticise- the experience in this home has potentially made some difficult future conversations and choices a lot easier . This is all down to the amazing experience in this home- they put some luxury hotels to shame!

I am writing to express our deepest gratitude for the exceptional care and compassion provided to my Mum, during her time at Shipston Lodge Nursing Home.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the manager and I was immediately struck by the warmth and genuine care that radiated from every member of her team, (we had tried many homes before we found Shipston) The level of attention and dedication shown to Mum was truly remarkable, the care from the whole team was quite remarkable, those Nurses treated Mum like she was their own Mum, never losing patience and always filled with compassion, there are too many names to mention but we appreciate every single one of them thank you.
The manager manages the care home and I've never seen anyone as dedicated, hard working caring. Thank you.
I wholeheartedly recommend Shipston Lodge Nursing Home to anyone seeking a loving and supportive home for their loved ones.

With sincere gratitude.

Replacement of floors should not have affected the care of residents, the owner's problem. Lack of staff, language problems. Second week breakfast after 10 am, dress and wash 11:30 am, had to cancel visitors. The chef did her best with spice allergy. Carers had no idea an unopened tin of mushroom soup was put on my tea tray. The reclining chair broke down. No hairdresser first week. No special wheelchair for shower facilities. Had to go outside to the dining room through a doorway unsuitable for wheelchairs. Long wait to be taken back to my room.

Shipston Lodge provided great care for both my parents during the last 18 months of their lives, and I would highly recommend them. The management were very efficient, flexible and considerate when I was organising my parents move into the home. They were able to be together in a bright and large room. The staff, whatever role, really care about the residents, always addressing them by name, listening to their needs and having great patience and positivity. Social activities we varied, including a pub quiz. Their health needs were met and hospital visits accompanied if necessary. The food was excellent and homemade, with cake available for visits too. Shipston Lodge were supportive when first Mum, then Dad died. Overall a very caring environment.
