My aunt has been fortunate to have been given a place here at Shipston Lodge. She has been welcomed by all staff. I have found the staff to be so helpful and easy to communicate with. The whole atmosphere is wonderful. It's like a luxury hotel, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

As their conditions deteriorate, I have been impressed by the medical care of the nursing staff who have managed those difficult situations where a hospital visit has been required including arranging transport. Their

The welcome from the staff at reception on arrival could not have been warmer. All staff that we met were friendly, courteous and helpful. The medical staff were competent and trustworthy. The building was well maintained internally and externally. All areas of the Lodge were exceptionally clean and
tidy.
The resident's room was homely, well-decorated, spacious, clean and tidy.
There was extensive entertainment available for residents and this created a vibrant atmosphere.

My elderly friend really enjoyed her week at Shipston Lodge. All the members of staff were extremely kind, and I was very impressed with the warm welcome and professionalism when I brought her in. Shipston Lodge is beautifully designed and she commented on how spacious and light it was. She particularly
enjoyed the library and loved playing the piano. She was delighted when another resident did a lovely pencil sketch whilst she played. She also enjoyed the gardens and appreciated that it was laid out for those with limited mobility, so there was nothing to trip on. It was a very good week for her and it has helped her to make up her mind about moving into the home long-term. Thank you to all the wonderful staff.

So my mom has been looking for a care facility for a while now, Shipston Lodge is the fourth place we have tried. From the moment we stepped through the door we knew this was the right place. The staff are exceptional, present and compassionate, leaving you feeling that our mother is really been taken
care of.
There are lots of activities, opportunities for engagement. Living as I do in the States, it's great knowing that my mother is in safe hands, it really makes a big difference. Highly, highly recommend!

My father has been a resident of Shipston Lodge for well over two years and during this time we have both been very happy with the care that he has received. Management is diligent in the pursuit of high standards and is both attentive and approachable, being amenable to seeking a swift resolution if
concerns are raised. Contactable in person, by telephone or by email, they also instigate regular meetings at which relatives can discuss the running of the home, in person, with both management and heads of department. The excellent communal facilities are continually maintained to a high standard, both inside and out, making the whole environment a very pleasant place to be and residents are encouraged to accessorise their rooms as they see fit to make them more homely. Staff are professional in their approach and cheerful in their demeanour and, as a relative, I am fully informed, being contacted and updated whenever the need arises or a change has occurred.

I cannot express how amazing the staff at Shipston Lodge have been, especially when Mum was at the end of life. The genuine care, compassion and respect for not only Mum but for us was second to none. The night staff who were on duty the night Mum passed supported us as a family, offering drinks and
a bed if we needed to sleep. They were professional in what they did, however, this was also done with compassion. Mum's care from the staff was outstanding. I want to thank all the staff at Shipston Lodge.

I was recommended by a medical professional to explore the possibility of respite care following a severe medical condition which had left me isolated, without food or drink for 36 hours, alone in my bedroom. I contacted the manager of Shipston Lodge who immediately arranged for me to come and stay
the following day. Following admission, I integrated into the care home community and was well treated, enabling me to make a full recovery and return home.

My husband lived at Shipston Lodge for his final eighteen months with a rare condition, corticobasal degeneration. During that time he received first-class care and comfort. The staff were outstanding in their efforts to give him the best quality of life within the confines of his condition. They were
simply wonderful to me and our daughter as his life came to a close. We will never forget their compassion and understanding. Thank you so much.

Following a short stay in hospital, a very dear friend of mine required some respite care. Wanting somewhere close to where I live, I made some enquiries in the area and Shipston Lodge came to my attention. Following a personal visit, I then had a very friendly and reassuring meeting with the manager,
who was warm and very welcoming. What followed was almost three months of a caring and very friendly stay at Shipston Lodge. My friend was very content and it was very apparent that he received first-class care in a very pleasant environment and, although not a recipient of the care, I would have no hesitation in recommending Shipston Lodge and its very warm and friendly staff.

From first entering Shipston Lodge Nursing Home, I felt heard and understood. A Father with dementia and a Mother with a broken hip required very different care. Food was and is tailored to their needs; it is prepared by talented chefs. I cannot recommend this nursing home highly enough. It has the
most professional nursing staff, who, with the support of the kindest care assistance, housekeeping, maintenance and activity coordinators, deliver exceptional care!

My mom came here at very short notice after an acute deterioration in physical and mental status. The staff have been kind, itself, indeed "fantastic" to use my mum's words. We have changed from a family of constant worry about Mum's frailty to one which has every confidence she is as safe as it is

I am coming towards the end of my stay at Shipston Lodge, having been here for a little over two months undertaking respite care.
I received a very warm welcome from the outset, and all the staff have been tremendously helpful throughout.
Although requiring a relatively low level of care, my experience
has been first-class.
The food is excellent, with a varied menu and a daily choice. Whilst residents are encouraged to take meals in the restaurant, there is equally an option to have them in their room, which has been my preference.
There is a range of activities for those who wish to participate, and facilities include a pub, hairdressing salon and cinema.
Minor issues have been minimal, and those that have arisen have always been addressed promptly and effectively.
All in all, the ‘home’ can arguably be compared with a five-star hotel.
I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Shipston Lodge to anyone requiring high-quality, permanent or respite care.

My sister and I found it a very challenging, emotional and stressful relocating both our parents at the same time into a nursing home. Both have major mobility issues, and one has dementia as well. On arrival, we were welcomed by many members of staff. All staff are very friendly and always eager to
help. Shipston Lodge is very clean, bright and well-appointed. Food is excellent, laundry efficient, and nursing care is excellent. Mum loves getting her hair done, and both enjoy the wonderful and carried activities. Our parents are treated with dignity and respect at all times. Phone calls and emails are answered promptly and efficiently. We are always informed if there are any issues. Care reviews have been useful. We are so pleased with their transition into Shipston Lodge.
