My father spent the last nine months of his life at Shipston Lodge. From the outset, we were extremely impressed with the professional, caring environment created and the variety of activities provided - my mother came away thinking Dad was in a hotel! All of the staff were absolutely amazing, led by
an incredible manager. The team really engaged with both family and residents, making everyone feel special, and nothing was too much trouble. This is a happy place with super service provided. Heartfelt thanks to you all.

Thank you so much to you and your team for the excellent nursing care you gave my husband during his final days.
The atmosphere in Shipston Lodge felt like a 5-star hotel, and everyone exuded warmth and support throughout.
We couldn’t have asked for better care.
The nurses, carers and hospitality
teams did go the extra mile for my husband and the family in making sure he was comfortable, and we were well catered for on every visit.
A special thank you for including a family Sunday lunch for eight of us and offering a dedicated room for family members staying overnight during his final hours. It meant a lot.
Your dedicated team maintained respect and dignity at the end, for which we will be eternally grateful.
When we first met the manager, she said, “Shipston Lodge offered the best death experience”, and my husband certainly experienced that.

Whilst my mother was only in Shipston Lodge for a few months, my sisters and I lost count of the times we said, “we can’t fault” it. The facilities are obviously first rate but much more importantly so are the staff and management. Nothing was too much trouble when caring for both my mother and her

My mother-in-law has stayed recently, and we were overwhelmed with Shipston Lodge staff, especially with the manager. She is absolutely wonderful, as is all the staff. The treatment, food, everything is unbelievable. Everywhere is so clean and fresh. I wouldn't think of ever going to another care home
with my mother-in-law. She absolutely loves her time here. I would recommend Shipston Lodge to anybody who is in need of care.

We had been trying to find somewhere for my mother to go into respite care, and Shipston Lodge was recommended. As soon as we walked in through the door, we fell in love with the place straight away. When we arrived, on admission day, the manager and the staff were so friendly, as if we have known them
for years. The rooms and all areas of the home are absolutely beautiful. Since then, four times we returned for respite, knowing she will be well looked after. I can not stress enough how wonderful and caring the manager and her team are with my mother. She treats her like she is her own mother. I will recommend Shipston Lodge to everybody who wants quality care.

My mother thrived at Shipston Lodge in the last year of her life. After she moved there at the age of 97, she looked years younger, became more active and engaged, loved the staff and made friends with other residents. When she experienced a sudden and terminal event, she and our family received exceptional
care and support in her last few days.
I am a retired GP, experienced in geriatric and end-of-life care, and I cannot speak highly enough of the standard of care at Shipton Lodge.
We could not have asked for anything more.

My parents were apprehensive and daunted at the prospect of two weeks of respite care after Dad was struggling to be independent with a fractured collar bone. They were given a warm, friendly welcome to bright, sunny surroundings. They comment that the kindness from all the staff has been outstanding,
and have gone home stronger and refreshed. The food has been especially commented on. The Lodge has been a very positive first experience of respite care.

My father has been a resident for 18 months, and I cannot fault the care. It was a big decision for us to put him in a nursing home, but we have been delighted with the decision. He was made to feel very welcome, and the care has been exceptional. My father likes his food, and the food is excellent.
I cannot recommend Shipston Lodge highly enough.

My nan has recently received end-of-life care at Shipston Lodge. The staff have been amazing. The kindness, care and compassion that they showed my nan and us have been a great comfort in such a difficult time. We've been made to feel very welcome at all hours of the day and night. The care that Nan
received was at the highest level, and they considered her dignity at all times. The staff have comforted us when we've had tears and have tried hard to keep our spirits up throughout the devastating process. As a family, we couldn't be more grateful.

Wonderful service. They stepped up on a Sunday afternoon to provide emergency accommodation for my 90-year-old mother, who had dislocated her hip, and following hospitalisation, was unable to go home until a stair lift was installed.
My mother stayed for a week, and the staff were lovely, the food
was great, and the coffee even better (I needed it), and the support was just so good and so needed at a time of stress for our family.
There was a temptation to check myself in.

After a somewhat difficult few months navigating geriatric mental health through the NHS, my 92-year-old grandma had the good fortune to be found a place at Shipston Lodge.
With complex needs (heart failure and rapid onset dementia), there were only two suitable places for her in Warwickshire. For
our family, Shipston Lodge was the only place we were happy for her to go.
The grounds and facilities are top-notch. And, whilst it may be easy to be drawn in by the luxury, the management and staff are truly what makes this place very special indeed.
It is extremely reassuring to know that costs aren't being cut with minimal staffing. Moreover, the quality of care on offer and the professionalism of the staff (from carers, nurses, management and even the handyman) is exactly what is deserved for the residents in their twilight years.
It is such a relief to know that my grandma is receiving the care and attention that she needs at this stage of her life.
