Mum has been here for ten months now. She has settled brilliantly, and the staff know her really well. Care is always dignified and respectful, and Mum is as well looked after as if she lived with family.

My mother moved to Shipston Lodge in October 2021. She chose Shipston because of its attractiveness and how she was welcomed by all the staff she met. She has often commented subsequently how kind and friendly she has found everyone. I have been very grateful to the staff for their kindness, positivity,
support and advice as my mother's health needs have changed. I feel informed and confident that the staff know my mother and are doing everything they can to care for her. The home itself is very comfortable with excellent facilities, clean and very calming, which all helps to reassure my mother and her family. I have seen many homes over the years, and I think Shipston Lodge is one of the best and certainly the right place for Mum.

My father has been a resident at Shipston Lodge since early December. The consistency of care and sensitivity of the staff is apparent from the outset. I have felt assured that he is not just ‘looked after’ but ‘cared for’. All interactions at every level for myself and his friends when making phone

The biggest difference with Shipston Lodge is that all the staff really care and go that extra mile with the care. This must be a culture as everyone is the same. The atmosphere is always upbeat and cheery. It's a very hard thing to let someone else look after your loved one, but this place really

My mum is very happy at Shipston Lodge Nursing Home.
The care she receives is excellent; the carers are always greeting you with a friendly smile.
Mum enjoys the food; great care is made with the meals to suit Mums dietary needs. There is a good variety of meals to choose from.
Communication from
the nursing staff at the home is very good. If there is a problem, I get told, informed of the course of action and the outcome.
Since moving Mum to Shipston Lodge, she is happy and very settled. It’s a great comfort to know Mum is well cared for, safe and secure. Keep up the great job you are all doing.

It is always distressing to think that we may spend our sunset days in what was once called 'Old Folks Home'. "You are not putting me in a home" is a frequent cry from those of a certain age and ability.
Consequently, my brother and I were dismayed and concerned when the decision was made that after
a long fit and healthy life at the age of 95, we had to decide that he was no longer capable of physically or mentally looking after himself. So with trepidation, I visited the Lodge, and soon all my worries and concerns were swept away. I received a warm welcome from the staff, who clearly understood my fears, and convinced me that my father would receive the best of care, comfort and support.
My father has been in residence at the Lodge for 7-months. I cannot praise the staff enough for their professionalism and positive attitude, and I know that my father is in good hands.
Although Father's capacity continues to decline, we are comforted that Dad is in safe hands and happy in his environment.

From the manager down, all staff are very caring. Mum loves her room, has lovely food and looks forward to mealtimes. There is a large amount of varied activities for Mum to join in. The nursing staff always let the family know if any health issues occur, and Mum's health care is fantastic. I have only
praise for all the staff at Shipston Loge. I'm so pleased Mum is very happy and well cared for; it is a huge worry taken away from our family. Thank you!

The manager and team have communicated well regarding my mother-in-law's arrival. They have worked hard trying to accommodate her needs, which has not been an easy task. (Handicapped by the surgery, slow response to doctor visits and prescription being delayed regularly).

My mother came to the home on Christmas Day 2020 after having a bad experience in hospital. She was struggling to eat. Nothing seems too much trouble for the staff; they were very kind and caring, and my mother soon picked up and felt very content and much happier. Everything seems to run very smoothly,
and the home always looked lovely, clean and very welcoming. I feel very lucky to have found such a lovely, friendly home for her final years.

Clearly giving excellent care to my mother. Really valuable feedback from all the staff I’ve spoken with. This has helped enormously to lift a lot of the worry and stress from my shoulders, being stuck, as I am a long way from the home, in a foreign country, unable to travel or visit during the pandemic.

My dad moved here in February from another care home and within days I saw an immediate positive change. My dad has late-stage vascular dementia and the care he has received from day one has been outstanding. The entire team are amazing, caring and extremely professional. The home is welcoming and there
is an air of a relaxed and happy "home" not just for my dad but all the residents. Nothing appears to be too much trouble and I can't thank all of them enough for making my Dad's stay so comfortable (and so cared for) in these last few months.
