It is always distressing to think that we may spend our sunset days in what was once called 'Old Folks Home'. "You are not putting me in a home" is a frequent cry from those of a certain age and ability. Consequently, my brother and I were dismayed and concerned when the decision was made that after a long fit and healthy life at the age of 95, we had to decide that he was no longer capable of physically or mentally looking after himself. So with trepidation, I visited the Lodge, and soon all my worries and concerns were swept away. I received a warm welcome from the staff, who clearly understood my fears, and convinced me that my father would receive the best of care, comfort and support. My father has been in residence at the Lodge for 7-months. I cannot praise the staff enough for their professionalism and positive attitude, and I know that my father is in good hands.
Although Father's capacity continues to decline, we are comforted that Dad is in safe hands and happy in his environment.

Nothing seems too much trouble for the staff; they were very kind and caring, and my mother soon picked up and felt very content and much happier. Everything seems to run very smoothly, and the home always looked lovely, clean and very welcoming. I feel very lucky to have found such a lovely, friendly home for her final years.

My dad moved here in February from another care home and within days I saw an immediate positive change. My dad has late-stage vascular dementia and the care he has received from day one has been outstanding. The entire team are amazing, caring and extremely professional. The home is welcoming and there is an air of a relaxed and happy "home" not just for my dad but all the residents. Nothing appears to be too much trouble and I can't thank all of them enough for making my Dad's stay so comfortable (and so cared for) in these last few months.

My Mother in Law had a fall in the first week of lockdown, where she had to attend A&E. We were all upset and a little frightened with the COVID, But, the Lodge provided us with the support and helped my Mother in Law to stay in a safe, luxurious, comfortable environment to recover. The staff was amazing and she now considers them her friends. She really enjoyed their company. her every need was catered for, emotionally and physically too.

Thank you just doesn't sound quite good enough. Have visited Shipston Lodge 3 times, it is like a 5-star Hotel. Each time felt so comfortable, spoilt, very friendly. We have just checked my father in for a 24hour stay, while my mother had to go into hospital for a pacemaker.

His room is huge, also the bathroom. The whole of the home is very tastefully decorated. Lovely, beautiful, tastefully made. All the staff from management and your team are so professional, nothing was too much, all very friendly, easy, comfortable. All that cake, lol..

Friendly, efficient and professional staff/nurses. Clean comfortable rooms. Nice friendly atmosphere. Very good facilities. My father celebrated his 90th birthday at Shipston Lodge and the chef organised a very good lunch for 6 of us in a comfortable private dining room and sitting room.
