This care home is amazing, the staff are all so caring and patient. Food is comparable to a good hotel. Always clean and never smells. Activities are good as is the house dog, Koda.

Green Pastures is an excellent nursing home. My dad receives the highest standard of care. He is well looked after by all the staff who treat him with professionalism, care and dignity. Cleanliness is outstanding. Each resident is treated as an individual. The menu provided is excellent and of a high standard. A wide range of stimulating activities is provided. Communication with the home is excellent - particularly in respect of all the recent lockdowns. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff - I know that my dad is safe and happy. Green Pastures is a well-managed nursing home and is a real home from home.

Green Pastures should be the blueprint for all nursing and care homes. The care and compassion are exceptional. They treat the residents with respect, kindness and care for their every need. Having viewed a number of care homes and seen some appalling care homes, it was a huge relief to find Green Pastures.

The best thing I did for my father was to move him into Green Pastures, he has been treated extremely well, the staff are all so caring and considerate. They took the time to get to know my father and make his last month's happy ones, an amazing team indeed.

Mum has not been cared for well in recent months and has suffered during the lockdown. Some of her possessions have been 'lost' but no one in the organisation seems to notice in a timely manner so they are now 'lost' forever. It is only when I mention something that anything gets done which of course is very difficult when visiting is as restricted as it is. There seems to be poor oversight of the staff and staff standards are on the scale of 'make do' rather than 'the best that can be done'.

My sister has been a resident of Green Pastures for almost 3 years. Her complex needs are professionally managed with Christian love and friendliness. Friendship is in abundance from the management, the nursing staff, the reception staff, the helpers, the kitchen team, the laundry and the hairdresser. During these difficult times I have been assured of her well-being and any queries I have are met with patience and professionalism.

My Mum has now been at Green Pastures for just over two years and I can still comment that this is a beautiful home for my Mum. I can't thank the carers enough for how well they look after her, they are all so caring. Every time I visit, they make you very welcome. With such difficult times, I am always kept updated on how she is and also had a few visits to see for myself.

Mum moved into Green Pastures in early December 2020 after falling for the second time in the night, initially for respite, but we quickly decided that this is where she now needs to be. For Mum it has been a difficult time adapting to a new environment with no time to prepare for the move, but she is now settling in and it is a huge relief to know that she is being cared for 24 hours a day. I have been very impressed by the responsiveness of all the staff to any concerns (mine or hers) at such a difficult time (3rd lockdown). All possible precautions are being taken to keep the residents safe, which of course means that visiting is limited and only possible after a swab test. Staff too are swabbed daily. Between visits I have been able to see Mum through her window and we (my brothers and I) are able to speak to her by Skype. All praise and grateful thanks to the staff for everything they are doing.

Green Pastures is the most fantastic care home and I just can’t recommend it enough! My mother (who lives with dementia) went to live there last April right in the middle of the first lockdown. The staff have all been amazing right from day one. It was a very stressful time for her and all our family, but with the love and support of all the nurses and carers she has settled well into her new home. It is really hard not being able to visit but I receive regular updates via email and phone calls and even photos showing her enjoying various activities. The reception and office staff are also very friendly and professional and are always very helpful whenever I phone. I feel that she is in the best and safest place that she could be!

My dad has Alzheimer's and has been a resident of Green Pastures since June 2018. Moving him to a care home was a necessity but it was still a very difficult and emotional decision to make. The staff have developed a good relationship with him and are professional and compassionate in their approach. Nothing is too much trouble and the atmosphere in the home is relaxed and friendly. While visiting is restricted due to Covid-19, staff are happy to communicate by email and phone with updates as required. Green Pastures has coped admirably with the huge challenges of Covid-19 and has continued to offer its usual high standard of care.

My mum has been in Green Pastures for over 5 1/2 years. In that time the staff have been wonderful both to her and to our family. Before Covid changed the way I could visit, it was always such a pleasure to enter the building knowing that all staff would greet me with a smile and warm welcome. It mirrored the kind of warmth and care my mum experienced from them. Green Pastures is like one big family made up of different parts - staff, residents and carers. The staff are so helpful and kind and nothing is too much trouble.

Since the Covid pandemic began staff have continued with their high standard of care and have had to turn their hand to a few other skills, for example, hairdressers and entertainers, but they don't mind going the extra mile. The manager has kept us fully informed about the latest news and arrangements for visits and has persevered with pages of government guidelines. It is always a pleasure to reward their efforts with some sweet treats because they deserve it.

This marks the end of my husband's first 12 months in the home. He has extreme needs. He is checked at intervals throughout the night; this has enabled the staff to detect significant events to which they have responded very efficiently. Since he can't watch TV or join many of the standard communal activities, the staff have, with ingenuity and affection, found alternative ways to keep his mind alive. This attention to his psychological well-being is much appreciated by his family. The residents are treated as individuals, with diverse needs and interests, both medically and psychologically.

Superimposed on all this is the current preoccupation with Covid-19 - a challenge the care home has met with efficiency, both within the building and in their liaison with family members isolated at home.

Green Pastures has provided a wonderful caring environment for my mother who is suffering from dementia. During lockdown, I have received regular updates telling me about how she is getting on. Yesterday I was allowed to visit for the first time since March (under strict conditions). I noticed how much Mother had improved – she seemed relaxed and happy. Visitors to another resident recommended this home to me – they liked it and the person they were visiting was happy living there. The staff are lovely and caring and have provided a really comfortable home for my mother.

I have already recommended this home to a friend whose mother-in-law is suffering from dementia but at the moment the family are trying to continue looking after her in her own home.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. As a team, we are very aware of how hard it has been for relatives who have not had the chance to look around the home before their resident arrives. We hope that with good communication and now the opportunity for restricted visits that the situation will feel easier for all.

After a hospital stay, for pneumonia, my father who is immobile with Parkinson’s and has Dementia who needs such a level of nursing care, that caring for him at home was no longer an option. As a very close family, this was an extremely difficult outcome for us, but from the outset, the atmosphere and the ethos of Green Pastures helped us come to terms with what felt like ‘letting go’ of Dad. Every single member of staff is dedicated to providing the best all-round care for each resident - physically, emotionally and spiritually. Visitors are made to feel very welcome. The home has high standards of care and cleanliness; Dad is always well cared for.

Not being able to visit as a result of the pandemic has been heartbreaking, but we have complete confidence in the staff who treat Dad with such respect, love and have worked so hard to enable us to keep in contact with him during this dreadful period. We could not have found a better home for Dad and are enormously grateful to the staff.

Mum, who is now 97, has been at Green Pastures for over 18-months and the family could have not asked for better care. She is not from the area (but we have lived locally for over 30-years) but was immediately made to feel 'at home'. Unfortunately, due to the progression of her dementia, she has required additional care, but this has been given unwaveringly with every attention to her needs. During the current unprecedented times, the staff and management have kept in constant touch, offering phone calls and Skype sessions. The hard work and commitment to make the home a safe and Covid free environment has been truly wonderful. I would highly recommend Green Pastures to any family considering a care home.

My Dad moved in three weeks after my Mum suddenly died. He has been suffering from Alzheimer’s, and mum was his carer. It was a difficult time for my sister and me, but the whole staff made the transition calm for him and us. The atmosphere when we visit is happy, calm and efficient. The staff were so friendly and helpful, we knew straight away we had chosen the correct place for our Dad. The staff are all great and can’t do enough for him and us. During the present time with Covid-19, the staff have been more than brilliant. They keep in touch with us as well as care for the residents in a loving way. The staff are all approachable and interested in the residents. I highly recommend Green Pastures to anyone looking for a care home.

This home offers care of an exceptionally high standard. The facilities are superb, the bedrooms are beautiful and, most importantly, the staff are caring, competent and extremely well qualified. There is a feeling of homeliness and welcome as soon as you walk in the door. Residents are treated with compassion and love. There appears to be time for everything, from baking, singing and entertainment, to caring for and talking to the residents. The food is of a very high standard and presented artistically on the plate, even for those on a puréed diet. I cannot praise this home highly enough - it is wonderful, and we feel very lucky to have our lovely mother there.

Green Pastures is a lovely care home, and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone looking for a safe, caring and pleasant home for their loved one. The staff are all very professional but not aloof; they treat each person with dignity and do all they can to cater to the many and varied needs of the residents in their care.
Nothing is too much trouble, and however busy they are, they will listen if you have any concerns and do their utmost to help. This is important for family members who struggle to come to terms with their loved ones having to move into residential care.

Although she is unable to express herself in words, I am confident that my mother feels safe, secure and helped in great affection.
