Overall Experience

Green Pastures Christian Nursing Home is a wonderful place. Everyone from the ladies on reception and the office staff to the nursing assistants and catering staff are so friendly and caring, they really go the extra mile to ensure not only the residents are happy but also the family members. As for the care assistants they really provide a five-star service, their caring and commitment to the residents goes above and beyond. It is such a happy and caring place. We don't have to worry about Mum as we know she is so well looked after. All the staff are wonderful.

Green Pastures provides exemplary care for my mother, she has been there for over three years. The home is bright and spotlessly clean but even more importantly the staff are caring and seem to treat my mother, who has dementia, as an individual. There is a weekly timetable of activities. The staff work with family and friends flexibly (I sometimes visit for lunch or accompany my mother on outings). Overall I would recommend Green Pastures.

My mum has been a resident of Green Pastures for just over 3 years. Since she has been cared for at the home myself and my family and her friends have all noticed a huge improvement in her not only health-wise but also mentally.
I try and visit my mum most days, we feel Green Pastures has become part of our family, always making us welcome day or night.
Mum is really settled, and has her daily routine which all the staff are happy to help her with, she has made good friends with many of the different staff teams from housekeeping/activities and the carers.

It's so reassuring for myself and our family that Mum is being cared for so well, thank you to all the staff at Green Pastures you really are all amazing.

I always find the staff at Green Pastures to be outstanding in their care. They are always patient and kind, and seem to go out of their way to engage with my mother and make her laugh, and to find out what she is interested in to try and motivate her, when sometimes she can be lacking motivation

A very friendly home. Resident treated with great care and dignity. Family included in all discussions. Took trouble to ensure a good care plan was in place. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Excellent level of cleanliness. Staff understand that resident does not have dementia and needs to be engaged and active despite physical needs.

I have been attending the Green Pastures Nostalgia Cafe on Monday mornings since 2018, firstly with my wife who has dementia and died during the Covid lockdown in 2020. I have continued to attend and have enormously appreciated the support and friendliness of the staff and volunteers at Green Pastures and all the hard work of the organiser in arranging activities. We are treated to coffee and cakes and made most welcome and are invited to an excellent Christmas lunch. The facility used was an airy day room with an adjoining room to meet in. Dementia advisors or for some games and activities. Cannot speak too highly of my experience.

Mum was very well cared for by some fantastic staff and as a family we felt very well supported. Would recommend Green Pastures wholeheartedly. I think moving forward that some of the activities could be adjusted to move forward with a different generation coming through.

My mum has been at Green Pastures for just over a year now. Every day I am so grateful for being able to find my mum a place here. All the staff are incredible, kind, caring. Staff always make a point of smiling and saying hello. My mum is cared for so well. The rooms are immaculate. Mum loves having her hair done and is always dressed well. The food is excellent, with lovely cakes for guests too! Great management by people who really care. Thank you so much.

My husband first came to Green Pastures in February this year. It was a really hard decision to make but one of the best my daughter and I ever made. He has settled so well and every member of staff has treated him (and us) with such care and kindness. The food is excellent and a check is kept on what each resident has to make sure they are getting the right amount of nutrients and drinks they need. We have no complaints of any kind.

As the days, weeks and months go by whilst visiting Mum at Green Pastures, I know our family have become even more reassured of our choice and duties in finding Mum a wonderful and professional-run place to take good care of her. On entering Green Pastures Christian Nursing Home, we are always greeted with some kind of entertainment or activity put on by the staff. Highly recommended.

My wife has been a resident at Green Pastures Christian Nursing Home for three and a half years. Occasional cause for complaint but overall care given is very good. Sometimes I feel that my wife should be given help in eating her lunch, which is often left to get cold and mostly uneaten.

We (I speak for the family) are pleased with Green Pastures Christian Nursing Home. Our appreciation is not unmixed - nobody is perfect - but we think you are doing the job well on the whole. Most of the staff are excellent and none are less than good at their jobs. Our major complaint is about access: our lives beyond Green Pastures mean that some of us have to make visits in the early evening. Getting in at that time is not a problem, but getting out an hour or so later is. Many staff (particularly those in reception) have gone off duty and there is no one to open the outer door. We realise that, situated as it is next to a bus route, it is imperative that residents must not put themselves in danger by wandering out of the building but cannot some method be found so that visitors are not kept hanging about reception trying to attract some attention?
