Our stay at Green Pastures has been excellent in every way. We have done lots of interesting things. The staff have been fantastic. All in all we cannot fault it.

As the days, weeks and months go by whilst visiting Mum at Green Pastures, I know our family have become even more reassured of our choice and duties in finding Mum a wonderful and professional-run place to take good care of her. My wife has been a resident at Green Pastures Christian Nursing Home for three and a half years. Occasional cause for complaint but overall care given is very good. Sometimes I feel that my wife should be given help in eating her lunch, which is often left to get cold and mostly uneaten.

Everything is 100% perfect for my mum, the staff are so lovely, caring, polite and happy. Facilities are first-class as is the care, the food and the activities i.e. always something going on. I feel my mum is so safe there and cared for and nothing is too much trouble - so thank you.

My wife, suffering from Alzheimer's dementia, is being cared for in a most caring environment. All staff, despite their roles, show love, care and compassion to create a family atmosphere. Nursing staff are quick to respond to medical situations and have good relations with the GP surgery. They also
deal with hospital appointments, be it by telephone or physical attendance - I have always been kept informed of medical matters. Activities are extensive and varied to suit the differing needs and capabilities of residents - there is always something going on. A nursing home of the highest standard.

We (I speak for the family) are pleased with Green Pastures Christian Nursing Home. Our appreciation is not unmixed - nobody is perfect - but we think you are doing the job well on the whole. Most of the staff are excellent and none are less than good at their jobs. Our major complaint is about access:
our lives beyond Green Pastures mean that some of us have to make visits in the early evening. Getting in at that time is not a problem, but getting out an hour or so later is. Many staff (particularly those in reception) have gone off duty and there is no one to open the outer door. We realise that, situated as it is next to a bus route, it is imperative that residents must not put themselves in danger by wandering out of the building but cannot some method be found so that visitors are not kept hanging about reception trying to attract some attention?

To leave the floor you are visiting, you will need a member of staff to open the exit door. This member of staff should then walk you down and open the outside door. This care home is amazing, the staff are all so caring and patient. Food is comparable to a good hotel. Always clean and never smells. Activities are good as is the house dog, Koda.

We are all extremely privileged to have such amazing staff keeping the home full of happiness and giving such great care. The housekeepers are amazing and having our in-house laundry/housekeeping team is great.
We are so happy to have our in-house chefs and their team producing amazing cakes and food. The home dog Koda really does bring so much joy to our residents. There is never a dull day with our activities. We love welcoming you and your family.

Green Pastures is an excellent nursing home. My dad receives the highest standard of care. He is well looked after by all the staff who treat him with professionalism, care and dignity. Cleanliness is outstanding. Each resident is treated as an individual. The menu provided is excellent and of a high
standard. A wide range of stimulating activities is provided. Communication with the home is excellent - particularly in respect of all the recent lockdowns. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff - I know that my dad is safe and happy. Green Pastures is a well-managed nursing home and is a real home from home.

Green Pastures should be the blueprint for all nursing and care homes. The care and compassion are exceptional. They treat the residents with respect, kindness and care for their every need. Having viewed a number of care homes and seen some appalling care homes, it was a huge relief to find Green Pastures.

The best thing I did for my father was to move him into Green Pastures, he has been treated extremely well, the staff are all so caring and considerate. They took the time to get to know my father and make his last month's happy ones, an amazing team indeed.

Mum has not been cared for well in recent months and has suffered during the lockdown. Some of her possessions have been 'lost' but no one in the organisation seems to notice in a timely manner so they are now 'lost' forever. It is only when I mention something that anything gets done which of course
is very difficult when visiting is as restricted as it is. There seems to be poor oversight of the staff and staff standards are on the scale of 'make do' rather than 'the best that can be done'.

My sister has been a resident of Green Pastures for almost 3 years. Her complex needs are professionally managed with Christian love and friendliness. Friendship is in abundance from the management, the nursing staff, the reception staff, the helpers, the kitchen team, the laundry and the hairdresser.
During these difficult times I have been assured of her well-being and any queries I have are met with patience and professionalism.

Mum moved into Green Pastures in early December 2020 after falling for the second time in the night, initially for respite, but we quickly decided that this is where she now needs to be. For Mum it has been a difficult time adapting to a new environment with no time to prepare for the move, but she
is now settling in and it is a huge relief to know that she is being cared for 24 hours a day. I have been very impressed by the responsiveness of all the staff to any concerns (mine or hers) at such a difficult time (3rd lockdown). All possible precautions are being taken to keep the residents safe, which of course means that visiting is limited and only possible after a swab test. Staff too are swabbed daily. Between visits I have been able to see Mum through her window and we (my brothers and I) are able to speak to her by Skype. All praise and grateful thanks to the staff for everything they are doing.

Green Pastures is the most fantastic care home and I just can’t recommend it enough! My mother (who lives with dementia) went to live there last April right in the middle of the first lockdown. The staff have all been amazing right from day one. It was a very stressful time for her and all our family,
but with the love and support of all the nurses and carers she has settled well into her new home. It is really hard not being able to visit but I receive regular updates via email and phone calls and even photos showing her enjoying various activities. The reception and office staff are also very friendly and professional and are always very helpful whenever I phone. I feel that she is in the best and safest place that she could be!

My dad has Alzheimer's and has been a resident of Green Pastures since June 2018. Moving him to a care home was a necessity but it was still a very difficult and emotional decision to make. The staff have developed a good relationship with him and are professional and compassionate in their approach.
Nothing is too much trouble and the atmosphere in the home is relaxed and friendly. While visiting is restricted due to Covid-19, staff are happy to communicate by email and phone with updates as required. Green Pastures has coped admirably with the huge challenges of Covid-19 and has continued to offer its usual high standard of care.
