Overlooking the stunning farmland of the Chiltern Hills, this impeccably landscaped former doctor's house is situated a short distance from the centre of Chinnor. The home offers nursing, respite, and palliative care.

The majority of bedrooms are en-suite, set across two floors which foster a truly homely atmosphere. With each room tastefully decorated and the grounds maintained to the highest standards, Hempton Field has as much personality as its residents - you can be proud to call it home.

The home has two communal lounges and a well-appointed dining room, meaning peace and quiet is never far away. The house is situated on half an acre of grounds, where you can relax in the gorgeous sheltered courtyard, surrounded by flower beds and a pond. The gazebo area has views of the Chiltern Hills and is perfect for outdoor socialising.

Chefs prepare meals on-site, offering residents a daily menu with tasty, nutritious choices. Meals can be taken in the dining room or in residents' own bedrooms as preferred. Special diets will be catered for.

Activities staff oversee a busy schedule of events. Residents are encouraged to participate and to help plan these events, to ensure there is something for everyone. Participation is entirely optional, however. There are daily activities in the home, as well as frequent excursions outside it and big celebrations throughout the year.

My mum has been a resident at Hempton Field Care Home for the past 4 years. She is celebrating her 101st birthday tomorrow and I know she has reached this grand age because of the care she receives and the positive, happy atmosphere in the home. She knows all the staff and they take the time to chat
to her when passing her room. When I am unable to visit her I am confident she is well looked after and happy to be here.

This was my second visit upon a friend. My overall impression of the home is that it is very pleasant and welcoming. Cosy, fits the description of the interior, which is furnished very tastefully. The members of staff who I had the pleasure of meeting are indeed a credit to the home. My only small criticism
is that the outside grounds were rather untidy and in need of some attention.

All staff very cheerful, friendly and helpful. Food excellent and the chefs cover individual needs. The only downside was the lack of maintenance and room being too hot.

I feel quite happy and comfortable here at the home. The staff are very friendly at all times. The food is excellent and well presented.
Could do with a little more activities but as I have now got satellite sports, its not too bad.

My mother's care has been exemplary since she became a resident in April 2024. She is even taking part in the many activities the home provides, such as carpet bowls, yoga, boxing and dominoes! At 100 years old there is still something new to experience.

Mum has been at Barchester Hempton Field Care Home for eight years now. The staff treat Mum with great care and consideration, she continues to have a superb experience at the home.
The home is kept very clean and the furniture is new and in good condition.
The food is to a high standard and Mum always
has all the teas and coffees she could wish for.

Mum has lived here for two months now and in her own words, she says 'you could not better this place and I do not want for anything!'
All the staff we have come into contact with, so far, from all departments - reception/admin/management/caring/catering have a genuine interest in Mum's welfare which
is obvious to see.
Overall, there is a calm and welcoming atmosphere at Barchester Hempton Field Care Home and we know we made the right choice in choosing this home for Mum.

I started nursing in 1990 in the Philippines and also had the opportunity to develop my nursing career in Saudi Arabia. I moved to the UK in 2004 and worked as a registered nurse in the NHS and then the care sector, where I progressed to being a Deputy Manager and then being a Registered Manager.


I joined Barchester in 2022 and was so pleased to step into the manager’s job role at Barchester as it gives me the opportunity to enhance my knowledge and practice as a manager, having managed three homes before. I welcome change, and improvement and celebrate success. I am very passionate about delivering the best standard of care to our residents and I am very proud to be a part of the Hempton Field Care Home team.
