We have experienced good and bad times over the three and a half years Mum has been a resident. Probably the biggest problem is communication, which has been exaggerated over the last two years of covid. Clothing goes missing and never returns.

We were very nervous about Mum going into a care home but after seeing how well she is being looked after, we needn't have been. Mum has said she likes it there and the staff are friendly and caring. So pleased we chose The Meadows and they had room for her.

Not much to say as haven't seen mum in her room for 18 months. Find this very sad.

I would like to use this opportunity to thank all the care staff, nurses and managers of the Meadows care home. During the pandemic, their patience with families trying to stay in contact with their loved ones has been outstanding. With their already busy schedules, they managed to remain upbeat and happy to answer questions. As a family with husband/dad/grandad being away from us has been very hard, but made easier knowing he is settled and happy. So thank you all.

From the staff at entrance office all very friendly and helpful with smiley faces. My mother has only been there for a short time, but on every visit, she is always happy and relaxed which is marvelous for us as a family. I can only say the staff are looking after her so well. In this very strange time with covid 19, my visits to mum are in a very welcoming garden (each visit the weather has been kind.) I am very happy that we have chosen The Meadows for mum.

I've been very impressed with the staff, especially in lockdown where I've seen the care staff go beyond their duties. They have done an incredible job helping Mum get through covid-19 and come out the other side. They are dedicated, show real compassion and such loyalty to Mum, and we can't thank them enough. In my heart, I fell the carers are worth much more than they are paid, and their pay packet should reflect their wonderful qualities! Thank you!

The home is welcoming and light, with a pleasant view over gardens. The staff are friendly and seem anxious to help residents. The only issue is the lack of parking but you can park on the road. Overall very good home to have loved ones taken care of.

Everyone from the cleaning staff to the manager is eager to look after and help 24/7 and to make all residents and relatives feel part of a family.

I would have no hesitation in recommending The Meadows Care Home.

There has not been a single visit when we have not been impressed with the level of care that our aunt has been getting. In most instances, the visits are random and not pre-arranged. Since living at The Meadows, our aunt's life has improved along with her health and wellbeing. She has a good appetite and is always presented and cared for beautifully. She gets good stimulation mentally and physically and within the constraints of her cognitive abilities, she is happy. Not bad for a 101 year old!.

My Mum was a resident from April 2016 until she passed away in January 2019.
Throughout this time she was extremely well looked after by a very caring team and I was always made to feel welcome whenever I visited.
Mum was always clean and the room was bright and cheerful.
Mum was unable to feed herself or walk but her needs were always met.

I always felt she was safe.

When a person has lived for 92 years and independent to the last. Those last two weeks of life became so very very important. The team at The Meadows were amazing, looked after Mum as if she was their own and gave us all the help and compassion we needed. They are a team and they work as one. Thank you.

My mother caused the home no end of problems in the first few days which they handled very positively.

The rest of the 2-week stay, there were little problems and the staff and my mum seemed to enjoy her stay.

My father moved into The Meadows a few weeks ago following a stroke. All the staff have been friendly and have done everything they can to make him feel at home. They have also been very helpful in putting together a plan to identify the cause of the stroke, together with measures to help him rehabilitate and make his life easier.
