These services are: Personal care, accommodation,
utilities, use of communal areas, meals, drinks and

Services NOT included in price are: dentistry, chiropody,
physiotherapy, occupational therapy, opticians, hairdressing,
medications, toiletries, clothing, newspapers/magazines.
During your stay, you may need to purchase additional goods
and services. If they are able to provide such goods and
services, they will tell you how much these goods and services
will cost and they expect that you will pay for these goods and
services at the time you request them.
They can accompany loved ones to private appointments,
however the fee attached to this is £21 per hour. Where private taxi
services are used for transportation to appointments the cost should
be paid for by yourself.

I have two family members looked after by The Meadows, our experience was very positive, caring and friendly. As family we were always made welcome all the time. I cannot fault the home or the staff at all.

There has not been a single visit when we have not been impressed with the level of care that our aunt has been getting. In most instances, the visits are random and not pre-arranged. Since living at The Meadows, our aunt's life has improved along with her health and wellbeing. She has a good appetite
and is always presented and cared for beautifully. She gets good stimulation mentally and physically and within the constraints of her cognitive abilities, she is happy. Not bad for a 101 year old!.

My self and a friend visit an old friend and neighbour in the home on a regular basis. On the 28th the open day was a very entertaining morning. The staff are always very friendly and always very attentive to their residents and visitors.
Always offered tea, coffee biscuits etc.

My Mum was a resident from April 2016 until she passed away in January 2019.
Throughout this time she was extremely well looked after by a very caring team and I was always made to feel welcome whenever I visited.
Mum was always clean and the room was bright and cheerful.
Mum was unable to feed herself
or walk but her needs were always met.
I always felt she was safe.

When a person has lived for 92 years and independent to the last. Those last two weeks of life became so very very important. The team at The Meadows were amazing, looked after Mum as if she was their own and gave us all the help and compassion we needed. They are a team and they work as one. Thank

My mother caused the home no end of problems in the first few days which they handled very positively.
The rest of the 2-week stay, there were little problems and the staff and my mum seemed to enjoy her stay.

My father moved into The Meadows a few weeks ago following a stroke. All the staff have been friendly and have done everything they can to make him feel at home. They have also been very helpful in putting together a plan to identify the cause of the stroke, together with measures to help him rehabilitate
and make his life easier.

I have only been in The Meadows for a few days. I was rather reluctant to go into any home, however, my reception could not have been better. I felt less anxious and very welcome straight away. Since then, I have been spoilt by all members of staff.
The Meadows is a very warm, clean and very safe environment.
I may, however, put on some weight as the food is so good and plentiful.
Many, many thanks to all members of staff, you are marvellous.

Mum was a resident of The Meadows for almost six weeks. During this time she was always happy and well cared for. This provided myself and my family with peace of mind. The care was excellent and if there were any concerns, I would be contacted immediately. I felt she was safe and I could relax and

The Meadows is a very caring and pleasant home. My mother has always been self-caring until she suffered a stroke about 8 weeks ago. This is the first experience she has had in a nursing home and she was very anxious at first.
The staff and management have been excellent and had made my mother very
welcome and she loves being in the Meadows. I live in Ireland and I can relax now knowing my mother will be well cared for.

I cannot fault the care that my dad received at The Meadows. All of the staff were very caring towards not just my dad but our whole family. Dad was a resident for a short space of time but was treated with dignity, kindness and caring right until the end. Even after dad's passing the staff are still
very kind and caring as my mother-in-law is also at The Meadows so they all ask how we are doing. Wonderful experience at a very difficult time made bearable. Thank you, thank you all. XX

I spend a certain amount of time at the home with my husband. I am satisfied that the best care is taken care of my husband. Also, care seems to be taken of the other residents most seem happy in their own way.
The staff are always pleasant and helpful even under difficult situations. I know my husband
can be a trial but he is managed very well, being given help to understand his situation as he only appears to respond to music.

There is a calm over The Meadows and no gripes. One could see everyuone is helpful. The idea of Didcot Meadows is the CEO's vision. The idea of commercial trust sounds good, in my view.

A lovely inviting place to visit. Friendly and always happy staff. My Nan is cared for well. It's always nice to go into the garden and play dominoes with a nice cup of tea and a cake or biscuits. Very child-friendly when my grandchildren visit also.

Tobias

Tobias Matonhodze

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2008

Tobias Matonhodze has worked for the Trust for over 15 years in a variety of roles starting as a Carer at the Meadows and progressing through Care Leader and then Deputy Manager in sisters' homes. Has one of the most senior Deputy Managers in the Trust, Tobias supported other Homes, such as Chilterns Court, Langford View, Longlands and Stirling’s.


Tobias has completed his NVQ levels 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care, and his level 5 Diploma in Care Home Management. Tobias also completed an Oxfordshire Leadership Development Programme that was sponsored by NHS Health Education England and Oxfordshire County Council.


Tobias likes cooking and is an avid sportsman, he goes to the Gym on a weekly basis and enjoys watching football, and he supports Manchester United, which causes some laughter and banter with residents.


Tobias strives to ensure that all of the residents are well cared for and are happy and content, he prides himself on being approachable and helpful wherever possible
