Churchfields Reviews (80)
Churchfields has a Review Score of 9.9 (9.876) out of 10, based on 36 reviews in the last 2 years.
Over all time Churchfields has 80 reviews.
My mother has been a resident twice at Churchfields, the first time was for two weeks restbite during the Christmas period. After the exceptional care she received during this time, there was no doubt in our minds when we were faced with choosing a palliative care provider that we would choose Churchfields. The staff are like a family to each other and to the residents they care for. The compassion, love, time, patience, understanding, warmth, humility and comfort they all give on a daily basis, 24 hours a day is a credit to them all. My mother has found friendship, a confidant when she wants to talk through her situation, fun, laughter and made to feel part of the family by the staff at Churchfields. We can never thank them all enough for the unwavering and exceptional care constantly given to my mother at the most vulnerable time of her life. It has meant the world to her and us.
Thank you so very much for your exceptional review. We are so grateful for the time you have taken to express how you feel about the care that your mother has received with us. We will of course be sharing this with our team which is very much deserved and reflects the hard work and dedication they have achieved at Churchfields. Thank you.
Nursing staff on site makes this option very relaxing for relatives and they are such a lovely bunch and work so well with the local GP that it makes care easier. Both residents and relatives are listened to and involved in the home.
Thank you for your feedback on your review. We are very grateful and take all comments seriously to help us continually improve. We are very proud of additional comments like yours about the care that we provided for your mum and how Churchfields felt like 'home'. We will certainly pass these all on to our team. Thank you again for taking the time to review us.
Our experience at Churchfields could not be better.
All the staff have taken time to get to know and understand my mother, and she is now settled and much happier than she has been for a long time.
She and I have been treated with respect and kindness by all who work there.
I could not recommend the home more highly.
This is so lovely to hear, so pleased your mother is now happy and settled. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave your positive review, I will pass this on to the team at Churchfields.
My nan really enjoyed her later months at Churchfields Care Home before she passed. She really felt at home. She was always busy doing lovely activities. She was treated with dignity right until the end by staff. The staff were always friendly and helpful.
My nan was in another care home, was not looked after and would have died if we did not move her here. The care is excellent, the food is excellent, the staff are excellent and we couldn’t wish for a better care home for our nan. Thank you to all the staff for your care and consideration.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. Looking after your nan is a pleasure. I will pass on your kind words to the team.
My mother was at death's door in her old care home. After getting an emergency move, which took weeks, she finally got into Churchfields Care Home and with the care and attention she received is so much better and happier and so are we as we don’t have to worry about her anymore.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We're glad to hear of your positive experience.
The staff were always on hand to answer any questions and my grandmother thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the activities, especially the pub quiz!
I cannot thank the Churchfields team enough for all that they have done.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I will pass on your kind words to the team.
My mother has been a resident here for one month. I have found nothing but kindness and support for her. She is stronger than when in her bungalow; she was shaley and very slow at doing everything. She goes out from here tomorrow, 14.2.23, and if all goes well will cope at home. Thank you all.
Thank you so much for leaving us this review. It was an absolute pleasure looking after your mum and I hope she is doing well at home. Make sure you pop in for a cup of tea soon!
Lots of ongoing activities taking place both within the home and in the wider community. Everyone seems very friendly and cheerful. The food is good and the staff are well trained and treat everyone with dignity.
Thank you for your kind words and taking the time to submit a review
My mother has severe dementia and many health problems and is immobile. Since coming to Churchfields she has blossomed. She is more responsive, so much happier and has been kept pain-free at all times. She is included in activities and is now mixing with other residents which hadn't been happening for her in her previous home! The staff are just lovely, nothing is too much trouble for them and they are really proactive. Her nursing care has been fantastic. Churchfields feels like home. So glad that we found them.
Thank you for your kind words regarding your mother's care. I will pass on your review to the team.
My husband entered the care home needing "end-of-life" care after a massive stroke. He needed every assistance possible and the marvellous staff gave it and more with the utmost care and compassion. My family and I stayed with my husband for the remainder of his days and were all treated so well: better than a five-star hotel. I could not praise it more highly. Thank you.
On December 20th 2021 it was my mum's 91st Birthday. With the help of all the team at Churchfields she was able to have a party in the hub so she could have her family around her at last. From then until her death on 5th January 2022 she was shown love and compassion from all the staff and her care was outstanding even though sometimes she could be difficult especially when it came to the LFT test as she did not like that swab at all.
Churchfields is the most beautiful, caring home you could ever wish to have a much-loved family member living in. My mum was so loved and looked after. We knew that we didn't need to worry at all, as the staff treated her like their own family, from making a special birthday cake to taking her out for little trips. My mum had dementia, and the staff all kept he occupied and engaged with her. The home was simply the best, and I cannot recommend it enough; it's fantastic.
Thank you to everyone.
Churchfields Care Home also is very homely and very clean. All our family were very happy, whenever we visited all the staff made us always very welcome.
The care my husband gets is 100% perfect.
Many thanks you brilliant people.
The care my mother is receiving at Chursfields is absolutely wonderful. From her admission from a stay in the hospital, they have been kind, professional, compassionate and thoroughly mindful of her and our needs and emotions. She is now settled and enjoys the reassurance that comes with 24-hour care whilst always being mindful of current restrictions. The staff have enabled her family to visit and maintained contact. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Covid protocols were sensible and effectively communicated - also quick off the mark in creating an impressive outside hub. Visitors made to feel welcome.
I have only been treated with the utmost care from everyone since my admission. I've needed various treatments from several medical professionals, all given with care daily. The carers are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble. The staff will all go the extra mile to ensure my comfort.
Happy with the care I receive. The staff are always polite and make me smile.
As a family, we cannot thank the wonderful management and staff at Churchfields enough for the care they gave, and the time, patience and understanding to us as a family and to our wonderful Mum and Dad who they cared for so well. We would highly recommend Churchfields to anyone and are eternally grateful to them for everything.

Meet the Team (12)

I began my journey as a carer then moved into the role as a senior and due to my passion and personality I then became the deputy. I am now Care Home Manager. I am dedicated to providing the best care possible.

Alex graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2008 in the Philippines. After relocating to the UK, he began his journey in care at Churchfields as a Care Assistant. Through hard work and dedication, Alex progressed to Senior Carer, then Care Practitioner, and now proudly serves as the Clinical Deputy at Churchfields Care Home.
For Alex, this role is far more than just a job; it’s a deep responsibility he holds close to his heart. He finds caring for the elderly to be one of the most rewarding and meaningful experiences in the world.

Lauryn works as an Administrator at Churchfields Care Home and greatly enjoys being part of such a meaningful environment. She is naturally creative, enjoys connecting with people, and takes pride in helping wherever she can.

Josh has worked in catering for the last 16 years across a variety of venues, including restaurants, pubs, universities, and care facilities.
He enjoys cooking fresh, high-quality, nutritious food centred around the home, with a focus on creating a comforting experience for others.
Outside of work, Josh enjoys keeping fit by going to the gym and walking his two dogs. He also loves fishing and spending time with family and friends.

Nikki has worked at Churchfields Care Home for the past six and a half years, initially as a Senior Carer, a role she thoroughly enjoyed due to her passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care to each individual resident.
Earlier this year, Nikki transitioned into the Activities Team as the Activities Lead. She loves bringing joy to the residents through engaging activities and holistic therapies. As a qualified Reiki practitioner, Nikki offers alternative therapies such as Reiki and Indian head massage, helping to enhance residents’ overall well-being.

I originally started as a freelance painter & decorator but then came on board full time as the Maintenance Operative, where I work between Rosebank & Churchfields, spending a few days per week in each care home.
I started my working career many moons ago as an apprentice engineer, which was really interesting, especially working within the stunning university buildings in Oxford. After this, I used my new skills to work with the farming industries, helping to erect specialist farming buildings. I then moved on to own my own shop in Faringdon, selling antiques and collectables. I have also been in the painting & decorating business on and off since the 80’s.
I really enjoy the care industry, I will always make time to stop and have a chat to any residents about their day.

Suzanne began working at Churchfields Care Home in 2021 as a Housekeeper before progressing to the role of Head Housekeeper, a position she has held for the past two years.
In this role, Suzanne takes great pride in working alongside her team to ensure the home remains clean, tidy, and welcoming. She is dedicated to providing a high standard of service for the residents and finds real satisfaction in contributing to their comfort and wellbeing.
Suzanne also serves as the home’s Infection Control Champion, a responsibility she takes very seriously to help maintain a safe and healthy environment for all.
One of the most rewarding aspects of her role is being able to support the residents and spend meaningful time engaging with them.

Fiona has over 30 years of experience working within the healthcare sector and is a Registered Nurse, remaining active on the NMC register. Her management career started as a charge nurse and then as a ward manager within the NHS, working in wards specialising in care for older adults enduring mental health conditions and dementia.
For the last 15 years, Fiona has worked in the Care Home Sector, taking on various Management roles, including Registered Manager, Regional Support Manager, Clinical and Quality Manager, Compliance Consultant and Operations Manager.
Remaining very hands-on clinically, she is passionate about supporting our management teams to deliver exceptional person-centred care, ensuring all individuals can maintain their independence and enjoy the excellent quality of life our care homes offer.

Louise is the Operations Manager at Premium Care Group Ltd, bringing over 20 years of experience in health and social care. Her career began as a domiciliary carer while raising her young children, originally seeking flexible work, she quickly discovered a deep passion for making a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Since then, she has never looked back.
Throughout her career, Louise has held a variety of roles across the sector, each building on the last and shaping her strong understanding of what good care truly looks like. Her journey has led her to her current role, where she oversees multiple care homes, supports managers, and ensures the highest standards of quality, compliance, and person-centred care.
Louise is passionate about fostering environments where both residents and staff feel genuinely supported. She leads with integrity, remains hands-on when needed, and is deeply committed to staying connected to the people behind the work. Supporting others to succeed and feel valued is at the heart of everything she does.
She is proud to be part of Premium Care Group, working alongside an exceptional team that shares a common goal: delivering an outstanding experience for both residents and staff.

With over 30 years of experience in the care sector, Kate has built an extensive and varied career, holding roles ranging from domiciliary care to Deputy Care Manager. She also spent many years as an Administrator, where her wealth of knowledge, dedication, and unwavering support made her an invaluable member of the team.
Kate's passion for elderly care is at the heart of everything she does. She thrives in the centre of the home, maintaining close relationships with both residents and colleagues and ensuring that compassion and quality remain at the forefront of every interaction.
A strong advocate for community engagement, Kate is passionate about meeting new people, building meaningful relationships, and making a genuine difference in the lives of others. She takes great pride in supporting homes across Premium Care Group, always happy to share her expertise and contribute wherever she is needed.
Most recently, Kate served as Group Community Engagement Manager for Premium Care Group, a role she was immensely proud to hold. In July 2026, she was promoted to Head of Marketing, where she continues to champion connection, compassion, and innovation across the organisation. Kate is excited to build on this new chapter, driving the company's marketing strategy while continuing to make a positive impact for residents, families, colleagues, and the wider community.
Outside of work, Kate enjoys spending time with her horses and her beloved dog, Selly. A devoted family person, she cherishes quality time outdoors with her two children, Josh and Daisy, and enjoys making lasting memories with her family and loved ones.

As Customer Liaison Manager, I support families in one of the most important decisions they’ll ever make, finding the right home for their loved ones. I guide and support each care enquiry with compassion and professionalism, ensuring every family feels heard, informed, and confident in their choices.
In addition to my work with families, I also oversee our marketing and advertising, helping to showcase the heart of our homes and the care we provide. I’m a people person at heart, and I’m proud to be part of a business that shares my core belief: life does not end with a dementia diagnosis. Our homes are places to continue living with dignity, joy, and purpose.
Dedicated and deeply passionate, I’m here to help, no question is ever too much.

Daisy is an 11-year-old community champion who has been visiting The Anchorage care home since she was a toddler. A few years ago, she created Through the Eyes of a Child, a heartfelt initiative designed to capture children’s honest reflections on their experiences of visiting the care home, helping staff and residents see the environment through a child’s perspective.
What began as a simple idea has grown into a meaningful programme that fosters intergenerational connections. Daisy encourages children from local schools to visit the home, building friendships with residents and taking part in activities, events, and outings. She has also developed feedback forms to ensure children’s voices are heard and valued.
Over the past year, Daisy’s compassion and dedication have been widely recognised. She has received a Champions of Care Special Recognition Award from Person Centred Software, the Community Cup from her school for her empathy and service, and the Saxon Weald Local Community Youth Winner Award for her outstanding contribution to the care home and wider community. She is also due to join the PDCCA Volunteer Friends Scheme in the New Year.
Now beginning to share Through the Eyes of a Child with other care homes across the group, Daisy continues to lead with kindness, empathy, and maturity beyond her years, proving that age is no barrier to making a meaningful difference.
